He'd box you early, patiently circling while occasionally lashing out with his bombs. After the third round or so, he'd have you all figured out. How long you lasted after that depended on how much you could take.
he's more one dimensional than Trinidad for sure.

The best way to attack Tito was to effectively box AND brawl, the way a still-sturdy Vargas had some success doing and the way Hopkins did it completely.

Margarito would very much be in the fight with Tito - how could he not be? He could punch and take a punch. But in the end, that ability to take a punch would be his downfall.
Imo Dlh beat Tito. I agree with you about boxing and brawling to beat Tito. But it took a middleweight to do it. Tito has the style imo to annihilate Margs. I was never a Tito fan until he lost. That is how I am. I look back at what fighter has done, and I give them their props. Tito deserves props for being a fine fighter for a long time.

Tito's always had a suspect chin, and Tony's pressure, body attack and volume punching wear on opponents. He makes 'em work every minute of every round. He would basically double B-Hops output against Trinidad. Tony took Kermit's best shots, I think he could take the 147lbs version of Tito's best shots.
First of all, Cintron is no Trinidad and has beaten nobody when you truthfully talk about his record. And Margarito is not Hopkins in terms of size and boxing skills. Nobody ever beat Trinidad with "pressure". If they tied they would leave taking a 10 count or had their face rearranged. So your comparisons make no sense. Trinidad by TKO.

I think its the other way around.

Margarito is there to be hit, which wouldnt work in his favor given Titos style and power.

Tito's left hook end the night early, Margarito eats too many punches and we all saw what it did to the granite chinned Mayorga. Tito would crack that chin.

I've seen every Tito fight in his career, save for the amateurs. Margarito is one dimensional as well, I never said he was adapted for fighting depth and technique. Tito and Tony are flipsides of the same one dimensional coin. Tito relied solely on power to finish the job, and Margarito relies solely on pressure.

Anyone who honestly thinks that Tito would be backed up by Margarito (who was backed up by Santos) is a idiot. Tito would make Margarito look silly. Tito wins by KO. It would not be that difficult either. Tito has much more power than ANYONE who Margarito has faced. Not to mention, that he is also bugger and much more skilled than Margarito.

Difference is, Campas' chin is about half of what Margarito's is.

When a fight relies on his punch as much as Tito did, and he can't dent another fighter, it disheartens him. Watch Cintron in both fights vs Tony. Watch fighters crumble against Julio Cesar Chavez, in particular, Edwin Rosario, one of the hardest punchers in lightweight history. After he realized that he couldn't hurt Chavez he didn't know what to do and Chavez ran him down.

I think Tony's beard would hold up to Tito's punch. Remember, when Tito moved up he couldn't KO David Reid and it took him 12 rounds to finally stop Vargas. Both fighters were young bucks and delicate in the chin department. If Fernando can stand up to Tito for 12 rounds then Tony backs Tito up all night long.
