First off, Miguel Cotto is a much better fighter than Felix Trinidad ever was. This always catches flack with Tito supporters but Trinidad was as one dimensional as one dimensional can get. He was a power puncher who always relied on the big shot to end the fight. Any time he was ever in over his head he showed a fundamental lack of ability to adapt. (See the first 8 rounds against Oscar, the entire Hopkins fight, and the Wright fight.)

Cotto is superior to Tito is ever possible aspect of the game, save for power punching. He can box when he needs to, he moves his head well, great ring movement, he's a better technician, etc....

Tito could not run from Tony, because A.) he's too prideful and B.) he's too ****** to know how. So his only choice would be to brawl Margarito. It then becomes a question of who's chin or body would break first, and that's up for debate.

One thing I know for sure is that if Trinidad couldn't take it, he wouldn't last as long as Cotto did because he isn't smart enough to get out of the way of incoming damage.

For one, I said arguably. Secondly, tell me who is? Hearns would also make a good arguement. Tito put people to sleep at WW, I don't care what you think. Marg aint as effective against guys his size (save cintron who has no guts) Tito was Tonys size and hit harder than ANYONE Tony fought he gets stronger as the rounds go on just like Marg does and has such an arsenal of Power shots and the better Defence, this would not be Cotto sticking and moving getting caught on the ropes against a bigger man! after july 26 i was really piss of how cotto could of won his last fight pretty handily but i won't get into THE MANY WAYS cotto could of win the fight is worthless arguing about that here in boxingscene.
