No one was ever successful boxing Tito in his prime. He was far too relentless - in fact, he and Margarito are very similar in this regard. A prime Oscar De La Hoya came the closest and even he spent the last few rounds running for dear life. You just couldn't do it.

The best way to attack Tito was to effectively box AND brawl, the way a still-sturdy Vargas had some success doing and the way Hopkins did it completely.

Margarito would very much be in the fight with Tito - how could he not be? He could punch and take a punch. But in the end, that ability to take a punch would be his downfall.

Tito decapitates that ugly **** in his prime. Remember the guy was SMASHING middleweights. Margarines ugly ass could barely handle the weight class above him. Margarine gets his face rearranged and his jaw removed after 6 rounds from Tito. He'll be lucky to see 12.
Margarine fans = know nothing about boxing.
      I feel the same

hehe i disagree again about the Oscar-Tito fight, everytime i think about that fight i aways get sad because i feel the wrong guy won. So in my opinion Oscar did outbox a prime Tito. That has little to do with how a Margarito-Tito fight would play out though.

I agree with the parts about Margarito and Tito though they would meet in the center and not really take a backwards step, and if one of them started going backwards well the end of the fight would be near.

The thread implies that Tony actually lasts 12 rounds.

Ya people must be out you ****ing mind if you think Tony will stand a chance against a prime Tito.

I mean seriously. Tito loves fighters who stay there and **** with him. This would be the greatest showcase for him.

Margarito truly does not belong in same breath as Tito Trinidad. Its crazy to say that tito is going to back up from tony punches. The only people that beat TITO are BOXERS! Roy, B Hop, Winky...Shyt even Oscar till he decided to dance for the last couple of rounds. Margarito does not belong in the same sentence as Tito. I give him his props,Tony is a monster and has a chin of steel but he has never been in with a puncher like Trinidad. Tito By Knockout/TKO.
