Its funny how posting with the same people for a period of time can change your perspective of them. I really didn't like nor respect many of Floyds hardcore fans on here when I first joined this site. I still don't agree with many of them but I now respect some and value their opinions. Its just kind of weird how that happens if you keep an open mind and TRY and understand where another person is coming from.

        Duh.

Cotto would have pressed the issue if he really wanted to fight Mayweather.

Mayweather was always afraid of Cotto, but now that Cotto's is closer to being a shot fighter than not. He would like to take him on next than deal with Manny Pacquiao. Just another fighter that Mayweather was waiting to be past his prime. Because fighting the toughest fighters can do that to you as much as getting too old to be a boxer.

Mayweather talks so much **** on how he soften out Hatton for Pac. However, Margarito, Clottey and Pac have soften up Cotto, yet he still wants to figt him now that he has a greater chance to beat him. Who ever Mayethear wants to fight has usually been defeated soften up or is too old or past their prime. Mayweather stop looking for a way to avoid Pac by fighting rematches and fighting someone other than Pac. It was ok for Cotto to fight Pac without asking Pac for a drug test, yet you're the only boxer coming up with excuses.

I actually used to think Cotto stood a chance to win this fight, but now Floyd would dissect him. Both guys ducked each other. This talk is old hat.

In a recent interview with Franklin McNeil of the New Jersey Star-Ledger, Mayweather gave his thoughts on Cotto trying to lure him into a fight by revealing his strategy to win. Mayweather, as one can expect, does not agree with Cotto's fight plan. More important than that, he doesn't feel the fight makes any financial sense at the moment. [details]
If I was Cotto I would try and make this fight and if I was Floyd I would make this fight.
                    WHY?
Its a good payday for both.
Cotto is at the end of his career and win or lose it is no important just get that money. You already got the respect from the real fans.
For Floyd, Cotto is a legit threat especially for the casual fan.
I believe Floyd would win but if "Pac the great can fight him" and no one thinks any foul play, why cant Floyd?

Anyone else find it hilariously ironic that Floyd ducking Cotto to go on his first 2 year vacation involved supposedly working with Chris Brown? Floyd must've taught him everything he knows
