Well I think the fact that they continued to put him on PPV suggests that it was more fiscally appealing than keeping it on non-PPV where significant money can still be made but only from advertisers.

and the same with oscar, when he fought trinidad he didint do those numbers, when he fought hopkins he didint do those numbers, when he fought mayorga he didint do those numbers, oscar never did numbers like that until he fought floyd, so while without oscar floyd wouldnt have done those numbers, without floyd oscar wouldnt have done those numbers with anyone neither.

Actually, this is a cop-out. It goes both ways. Oscar sold his most with Mayweather. We forget that Oscar also fought Trinidad, Hopkins, etc, but he's never sold 2 million ppvs. Like Floyd says, Gatti, Judah, Baldomir, and Oscar all got their biggest pay days with Floyd.

Duh, it was an all-time record. But if it were Hatton vs. DLH, the numbers wouldn't have been nearly the same, which is the point.

At the end of the day though, as indicated, it doesn't matter since they aren't spending the bulk of the money!
bulk of the money will obviously be american. if oscar coems to the uk then hatton will have the bulk of the money. understand? to me if you read what ellrebe said again it suggests hattons fans aree only going to see floyld. as someone stated, half of hatton fans would have seen 2 or 3 of floyld fights in total. they are there for hatton. floyld has some of his fans and most of the audience will be american too.

Disregarding speculation. Please provide numbers if you want to prove that Ricky is a bigger draw than Mayweather.

in the uk if hatton fought oscar it would break ppv records. in terms of america hatton will never be a household name i doubt.

okay i understand that oscar wasnt only the draw but i personally feel flyold would not have got those ppv numbers with anyone else.

no he doesnt, People cant stand Floyd..People love Hatton. Hatton sells out 30, 000 and the rest of the country watches his fights on the tube. Juat because Floyd had a well promoted fight with ODLH and 2 mil ppvs were bought doesnt mean more people like Floyd..
