Sonofisis. Didnt u already get banned due to excessive nuthugging? You are waaaay off topic here. PPV numbers have nothing to do with the thread topic. Dont u think its kind've unfair to compare the American drawing power of both fighters, given that Hatton has had only 3 fights on American soil, as where Floyd has been fighting here his entire life. Its like trying to compare Floyd and Hattons drawing power in Britian. I would like to see Floyd try fill the MGM Grand fighting a unpopular opponent. Hatton could sell out the MEN Arena for a sparring match.

WOW, you are that clueless..
you point that Floyd has more PPV sells is just dumb, considering Hatton hasnt had a PPV, BTW having a PPV doesnt make you more popular..doesnt mean it nor make it..
Also, why is Floyd just NOW having PPV's? HE Has been fighting in the US his WHOLE life..he needed a popular fighter like Gatti to do it. Hatton has just started fighting in the US and is having PPV's now..Comment

Floyd was involved with because was popular, had talent, and was marketable. Only the top rated and most popular fighters fight in PPV's.WOW, you are that clueless..

Hatton is only now becoming popular, whereas Floyd has been popular for quite some time.Comment

On fight night there will be more Floyd fans then Ricky for these reasons:
1. The fight is in Las Vegas, where Mayweather resides and is well known, most of his fight fans live there.
2. 3,800 tickets have been sold in UK and about over 25,000 tickets have been sold in USA.
3. Who is more popular in USA, Floyd or Hatton? Surely you can answer that considering these points:
P4P #1, Undefeated, 6 time champion, 5 weight champion (all of these accomplishments) + him being an American
Been in boxings biggest fight (2.4 million PPV Buys), beating DLH will surely gain new fans.
Been on the most popular TV Show (Around 20-25 million viewers per episode)
We will find out on fight night when Michael Buffer announces the Introduction's of the fighters, and who has the yay's and the boo'sLast edited by Parody; 11-27-2007, 01:58 PM.Comment

The argument SonofSis is engaged in is not related to the topic of the thread.Sonofisis. Didnt u already get banned due to excessive nuthugging? You are waaaay off topic here. Sonofsis is claiming that Floyd is more popular than Hatton (clearly true), and for whatever reason, other people, blind with bias, cannot understand or comprehend that.Comment

Whoever "banned" me (if that's what you want to call that weird and random inconvenience), obviously saw what was nothing more than their own folly since the others whom were also banned are still just that, aside from Dios. I respond to all asinine statements and charges of "nuthuggery" accordingly and will do so whenever I feel the impulse. As all of you do as well, including the tireless insults.
It has everything to do with the topic and claims being made in this thread that I'm directly responding to.You are waaaay off topic here. PPV numbers have nothing to do with the thread topic.
Call it how you see it, the fact is still apparent that Hatton is more popular in America than most American fighters due to what he's accomplished. The same is applicable to Floyd but being that he was both raised here and has accomplished more in the sport of boxing than Ricky Hatton, Floyd is not only more known in America, but world-wide. People are distracting from the issue by citing Ricky's 10,000 fans while claiming that he's the "draw". These types of claims are what Elerbie has a problem with. Hatton is not the draw.Dont u think its kind've unfair to compare the American drawing power of both fighters, given that Hatton has had only 3 fights on American soil, as where Floyd has been fighting here his entire life.
No it isn't since there's more people in America and Americans have traditionally been more devoted to boxing while having more influence world-wide on the politics of the sport. Floyd is more known overall/globally.Its like trying to compare Floyd and Hattons drawing power in Britian.
Obscure, hometown gladiators are known to fill arenas. So what? I also haven't seen Hatton fill a stadium like say, a Joe Calzaghe.I would like to see Floyd try fill the MGM Grand fighting a unpopular opponent.
So? How much of that money out of the little money that it is, goes to boxing and how many people world-wide will it DRAW?Hatton could sell out the MEN Arena for a sparring match.Last edited by sonofisis; 11-27-2007, 02:02 PM.Comment

It took Floyd 35 pro fights here in the U.S in order to land a PPV fight. It took Hatton 3.Comment
