Ellerbe: "Fans Coming For Floyd, Not Ricky"

More predictable than debatable. There are more people in America and as stated, Mayweather is the bigger draw. They just spent over 100 million watching him against De La Hoya. It's actually a common theme that Americans buy more pay per view since American companies host most of the events.
Not true since most of the money outside of arena sales won't come from the U.K. Assuming of course that the event is broadcasted on American TV stations, Oscar is a huge draw.
It doesn't matter since there are more people in America than there are in the U.K., hence, more overall fans/ppv buys.
I'll be that donkey. In the meantime, if it is so easily accessible, why don't you post the said numbers and stop procrastinating? I'm not obligated to do any work here, the burden of proof is not on me.
Hyperbole. Please be objective and support your claims with verifiable information.
Evidence for what? That he brings more money to boxing or is a bigger pull than Floyd Mayweather? I see no evidence of the sort. Just a few reactionary and emotional comments from you, but no corresponding figures.
you are so blind..Hattons fans traveled in the thousands to him fight Collazo, Castillo and now Floyd...Comment

Leonard Ellerbe, adviser of WBC welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr., told UK media outlet The Mirror, that fans are coming to MGM Grand on Dec. 8 to see Mayweather, and not challenger Ricky Hatton. Ellerbe is tired of people saying that Hatton is the draw, and was irked by comments made by the Hatton camp, which stated that Mayweather would have 33 supporters to Hatton's 33,000. Ellerbe says that Hatton is only a popular fighter in the UK. [details]
that has got to be the funniest thing I have heard all day.. I didn't know the Sinclair camp was that delusional.

What does this have to do with over 3 million career ppv buys for Mayweather, compared to none that's verifiable at the moment for Hatton?
Mayweather brings more money to boxing. I'm not debating loyalty. Americans weren't even that loyal to Ali and I will pose the same question. How many Ali fans traveled to see him fight Foreman in Zaire?Comment

Wow, a record amount of money spent watching him fight the PPV KING, shocking wasn't it?More predictable than debatable. There are more people in America and as stated, Mayweather is the bigger draw. well with the bigger popualtion you would expect there to be more ppv's than in the uk for sure. but i know for a fact that if ahtton did fight socar if he beat floyld then it would be huge here. hatton is only becoming well known in the uk to a point that people may recognise his face. as few mroe big fights and he will be a hero not only in his city but in the uk.More predictable than debatable. OMG...Hatton hasnt had a PPV fight..so you cant use that comparison. It's not like he has and ZERO people bought it, then your point would make sense.
what we can compare is the fanbase..Hatton sells 33, 000 tickets and Floyd has fans leaving during the championship rounds...he will NEVER sell out like Hatton does, that's just the way it is. Nobody likes him.Comment
