Yet still, Rock can use all his same obsolete tech and flaws from his era and give a tough match to Toney? So he doesn't upgrade at all just comes in the exact same way? from full matches i seen of his era
You could have told me that Chilly Willy hated the cold and I would have jumped in yelling BS, I was just looking to get some rounds in. Good work and never say never..............Rockin'

and still, both of these guys were way more advanced than the whole novice. like era, no match exists in rocks time were boxers this advanced, you're not sane to bad you have no video to go over this, which means you're dumb comment of being beat has nothing to do with who was more advanced you slow idiot this is proof
cause this match didn't just fast forward without any of them throwing punches, and the winner was that man. See how ****** your comment was saying who won?, all the movements before all that s is what matters, and it shows both of these guys were way more advanced in angles, fluidity, timing, defense,/tech/fought smarter, you slow crazy idiot.
I would suggest proof reading in future.
What you posted does not qualify as "proof", as it's subjective.
I wouldn't say Toney is any more advanced than most of those fighters. He's hardly a master boxer, is he?
So you can't see rock and jersey, and the guy he is fighting is very sloppy and stiff, very overextending a lot of times to the body, and very hesitant in most movements?
They don't fight from range much; they leave themselves open a lot.
A lot of times, they will just throw themselves into the body and not protect themselves.
They use mostly counters when up close; the lateral movement is very basic; they don't seem to be able to punch from range while doing it smoothly; they have to stop then punch most of the time; and their feet are mostly tiptoeing.
And a lot of times they wait for the person to hit them, standing right in front of their opponent. They all had these or multiple of these flaws in this era, because it was all they knew it was the style.
answer the question
Yeah at times I wouldn't disagree especially in Rocky Marciano's case. He's wasn't an overly skillful fighter despite some subtle skills, he made up for it with external qualities such as chin, power, cardio etc.
But like I said, a lot of what you describe above applies to James Toney as well so I'm not really seeing your point.

If he were time travelin' in, I would assume that's how he'd be. ...........Rockin'
I mean, how long have we got? I could make a day of it.

So these guys to you look as advanced as the Toney video? So everything I described isn't in this match? so you don't see any flaws or obsolete tech in this match?, so you don't see any problem with how these guys fight compared they just would be able to fight this exact same way in 90s?
This is my colorized version of the famous fight! Rocky Marciano vs. Jersey Joe Walcott 1. Enjoy! It was the Ring Magazine Fight of the Year 1952. Support ...

So he doesn't upgrade at all, so that means you can't see Toney and his era as more advanced? It just looks the same as the rock era, same tech and flaws, no difference?
