Fury's retirements and the lineal championship

No! I disagree. I believe the fans knew who the real champion was and which fight was the real HW Championship fight. That was the lineal title at work.Comment

There are 4 recognised world title sanctioning orgs in the sport. World class boxing revolves around those belts, not the imaginary lineal title. The man you recognise as the lineal champion has said that the lineal title is bullshit and means nothing to him. That should be all anybody needs to know.Comment

Usyk is a fighter, not a historian. The IBF doesn't show him as their champion. Only that he's "ineligible " to contend for their concept of the title. How is that a reasonable system? The lineal title is in every book that lists the heavyweight champions; and anything but imaginary. Its as accepted and as real as the list of Presidents, Popes, English sovereigns, etc. = Too late to edit now. Lol
One world = One Heavyweight title.
Maybe the Saudis can get the mimi divisions on that track.Last edited by Willow The Wisp; 03-31-2025, 12:44 PM.Comment

Again, more B.S. for the thrill of a troll. At least you're consistent with this.

It gets worked out in the long run; the real champions rise to the top as lineal champions and are remembered. Good enough.
Let the media, the fighters, and the casuals have their claimant titles. More fights for us.
Also, these multiple titles work as a ranking system. Take Joshua and Usyk for example.
AJ positioned himself as the #1 contender by collecting multiple belts. Usyk stole AJ's #1 ranking and got a shot at Fury.
I see (use) the sanctioning bodies' title holders as 'pennant' winners ready to compete in the 'World Series' (for the lineal title).Last edited by Willie Pep 229; 03-31-2025, 01:15 PM.Comment

Yes, we should all trust the ABC orgs. Read this and tell me why? It's all about money, that's it. Not the boxers, not the sport, just lining their greedy little pockets.
