  • I don't get why this goes on and on.

No football fan expects Bronko Nagerski to rush for a 1000 yards in today's NFL but that doesn't mean he wasn't t an ATG running back.

No one else does this except boxing fans.

Is the lower end of the heavy division represented today?
Where can I find them in the worlds top ten rankings?

Which of them has challenged for the heavyweight title in the last 20 years?

Travel is an accomplishment? TF are you even on about bro? When are you going to admit it's impossible for a 245 pound human being to have the stamina of a 185 pound human being?

That's halo effect homie. You've put bigguns on such a pedestal you've stripped them of their humanity. Because you're dumb.

TF do you have a list of famous gays for? I called you all sorts of words that mean soft. You chose one and decided to pretend to be too ****** to understand the context it was delivered and conflated it with a different usage. wowee how can I ever follow that.

Oh, inventor of the prosthesis that are used for transitioning individuals? Did that at 19. While you were traveling.

Just another thing for you to get wrong. Say something right. Or at least address how ****ing exposed your dumbass is.

Why should anyone ever consider you opinion when you can't admit a scientific fact? They shouldn't and this thread's proof of how ****ed to death bias you actually are. Still have not acknowledged there is no possible way for Wlad to have Rocky's stamina. ****ing incredible.

****phobic dinosaurs like yourself are still in the dark ages.
Those people contributed to the world not because of their gayness or with their gayness (and some of them even preferred not to bother the world with it right because it's personal). But if we count the world contribution per sexual orientation, then straight people are "unbeatable".

Calling one who doesn't like gays a h*mophobe dinosaur of the Dark Ages reminds me of the church in the Dark Ages: you either comply with it or you got persecuted. Like you are obliged to like gays nowadays.

What evidence do we have that the heavyweights in the past were too small to compete with today's heavyweights?
          1. The LHW division is with an upper limit of 79 kg. and dates back to the past. Today, 79 kg. is more like an average weight.
          2. People grew bigger in the last decades
          3. We know the height and weight of many of the past heavyweights
Yes, some heavyweights back then were big and heavy enough to fall into today's heavyweight division. Plus, unlike the modern fighters, they were conditioned for longer fights, I'd say even tougher fights. But we can't compare people of different ages - imagine those of the past being able to benefit and train with modern knowledge and methods - the least, they would probably be at least a bit bigger.

HW fighters started getting a bit taller some 50 years ago and heavier about 30. It depends on how long back in time you go, but if you look at them half a century ago until and after the Klitschkos' era, they are on average maybe around 190 cm. and not a lot heavier than 100-105 kg. The giants came After the Klitschkos with all the positives and negatives of that. I hope it won't continue for long, actually, many divisions suffer from the tendency to have taller fighters whose natural weight would be higher. On the other hand, right because people are growing taller, we have more tall people who are interested in boxing and their choice is limited to a point where they can only be heavyweights, so the Bridgerweight is a good idea. It doesn't necessarily mean they are better boxers because of that.

Limiting the heavyweight division mostly to size is damaging for the division itself. And the main question is too broad, even not correctly asked - "the heavyweights of the past", but which past? The past is 30 years back but also 50 etc.

Nope both over 200lbs and Usyk deliberately added weight to bring him up to220lvs to compete against the bigger men.which confirms my point!

Dismal failure on your part.Try again McMurphy!

I didnt say they contributed because they were Gay, but if you delete the Gays contributions to computers [Turing],the Arts, such as Music.Poetry,:Literature,Cinema.Theatre,Sculpture, Dance, Inventions, the world would be a poorer place.

I'd take a bet that percentage wise Gays have contributed more to culture than straight people.
No one is obliged to like Gays but common humanity suggests they should be afforded the respect we give any human being and Margarino with his personal insults would deny them that.
Your opinions on the evolvement of heavyweights into bigger men over the years and indeed people in general reflect my own.
I didnt ,make this thread, nor do I agree with the intention and premise behind it.

The definition of a ****phobe is as follows,

"a person with a dislike of or prejudice against gay people:" Mr Margarino qualifies .

I’ve been on this forum a long time, and the thing about boxing history is most of its fans are older. Sometimes good posters are on here until they pass away. Outside of the disagreement its good to hear your vitality is good
