      None of my beeswax, but.....

The IBHOF has enshrined at least five murderers (Monzon, Blackburn, McCoy, Papke and King), because they weigh merit based on accomplishments in boxing. A rather honest approach I believe; as opposed to Baseball, where Pete Rose is barred and legendary SOB Ty Cobb is in.
Ivich has done the same as the Hall with the superb Monzon, we can surmise.

Now get ahold of yourself. You don't win every "Expert pissing contest", and so what?!

People like you and "Queensbury rules" have the goods to really contribute here, insted of provoking pointless arguments and silly statements. You can redeem your sigil.

        I agree with the IBHOF.

Monzon fought Jorge Fernandez 1967-6-10. He lost a UD for the South American middleweight title at Luna Park stadium, Buenos Aires. It may not be on Monzon's record, but it is on Fernandez's.

Many ,many fighters have not been exemplar human beings.
Robinson beat his wife up several times and caused her to miscarriage at least once
            Corrales
            Mayweather
            Langford
            Corbett
            Johnson
            Chacon
            Monzon
            Tyson
            Louis
            Lamotta
Are just a few of those that hit women they were involved with..
Many, many of them patronised **********s.
Jeffries reneged on betting debts and Tex Rickard had to come to an agreement with bookies to get a Jeffries fight made
            Tyson
            Lamotta
            Were rapists.
            Many were racists.
            Jeffries
            Sullivan
            Corbett
Being 3 of the more famous ones.
            Some ended up as alcoholics
            Tunney
            Walker
            Wade
            Being 3
Monzon ran a few girls early in his life.
As far as evaluating their boxing talents it doesn't make a scrap of difference to me, I judge them solely on their ability in the ring ,not on their morals and principles outside it!

But that is not the issue.
Dr Z says Monzon fought Fernandez in January 1966 lost by decision but floored Monzon .
              Here is his statement below.

"Monzon was decked by jorge fernandez in jan 1966 in a bout for the south american middleweight title,"

Now did you see that fight on Fernandez' record?

              Fernandez fought Monzon twice.
Fight no 1 . 3rd September 1966 Federacion Argentina de Box Middleweight title Monzon won a U Dec and the title.

              Fight 2. 10th July 1967 South American Middleweight title.Monzon won a U Dec.
That is what it says in both their records on Box rec, that is also what it says on Cyber Zone and in the Ring Record book.
So in the absence of any proof to the contrary ,and in the face of him continually repeating this ,I am calling DR Z A LIAR.

                No I disagree.

What Pete Rose did was to damage baseball. An occasional fist fight, is baseball.

Remember the Tom Brady's cheat (deflate gate) and the Adrian Peterson child abuse scandals?

New England fans tried to excuse away Brady's cheat by claiming Peterson's child abuse was worst.

In the real world it certainty was worst. But to the NFL Brady's (and Belichick's) cheating does much more harm to the game than a player hurting his own child. That was an issue for the State of Texas not the NFL.

It isn't a double standard. Pete Rose hurt baseball, Ty Cobb didn't.

What happens outside the fight game should not affect entrance to the Hall. What you do in the game does.

                Murderers welcomed.

                Just my two cents.

Monzon fought Frnandez twice, the first time was the year before, and both fights are listed in Monzon's record as well.

                    Fun Fact

The record for most elections by a player (not manager) goes to Johnny Evers at 50. (Not rounded, but actually 50 games.)

Ty Cobb was ejected from a mere 14 games over his entire career. Compared to Johnny Evers, Ty Cobb was a *****.

I've just posted the details of both fights, and the fact that Monzon won them.
So you do agree they fought on

                      3rd Sep 1966 and
                      10th July 1967

Both fights were won by Monzon?
