Lennox is just mad that Vitali made him Retire. Chisora can hope for a Chris Byrd type vitory, where Vitali has to Quit due to Injury but that is a long shot. Chisora looked Horrible against Tyson Fury and not much better against Helenius. I know People say Chisora beat him Helenius, but what kind of Damage did he really do in either fight. Both Fury and Helenius are as white as you can get, but neither man showed signs of Abuse afterwards. And now we are to believe Chisora has a chance to beat a Klitchsko... i think not
David Price may of moved ahead of Fury as the #1 Heavyweight in the U.K. after his destruction of Big John McDermott. I still have Fury slightly above Price but only due to the Fact that Tyson Fury was able to BeatUp the very Limited DelBoy Chisora as well. Now Price can easily beat Chisora too, but after Chisora gets Brutally Beaten by Vitali, he will be 0-3 versus insanely huge White Guys and i Imagine DelBoy will stay away from Price at all Costs. McDermott was a good test as well as a measuring stick on Fury, but Fact remains that Big John is not even a B-Level Fighter however im very interested on who Price will face in New York and hoping the 28 yearold will get one of the Americans like Arreola or Washed up Micheal Grant as his Dance Partner
Unless Kessler gets a KO, there is no way Carl Froch will lose a decision at home.. and I seriously doubt that Froch will get KOed. I have a feeling Kessler will be a lot tougher than most believe, but Froch will win by an easy decision, no matter what happens in the fight. Froch is a great fighter and I respect him, but he should show a little more respect as Kessler is a good counterpuncher with above average power and will not be as easy to bully as Bute or Mack. Will be a good scrap but I got Froch by UD
HBO will not like hearing this news. Not surprising that Khan would throw Freddie under the bus like that however it is good that he is realizing that he has a questionable chin and needs to protect it. Will make for boring fights since Golden Boy and his new trainer Hunter will keep Khan away from anyone who can throw a power shot, but will keep Khan on sturdy legs. Will be interesting to see where Khan goes from here, and even though i am not a fan, i hope he gets back to the Top....everybody loves a comeback.
I guess he means the Mean Streets of England lol. Besides his color, what threat does he pose on the streets? Will he start a Futbol Hooligan gang? Besides doing some cocaine and drinking a pint, Chisora will be fine. Its not like they are sending DelBoy to Australia and all he has to do is take some anger mangement classes and the Ban will be lifted.
Seems like Price has some respect for Hayes ability. I also think Haye will win by stoppage as Chisora is highly overrated. A fight with Fury, for Price, is still a year and a half away, i just wonder if Price will also a fight with Fury before getting to the Klit Bros? Price looks more Polished than Fury at this point, but is a very Risky fight for either fighter. Would be a Hell Of a FIght with the Largest White men i ever seen and i can wait till it happens. After all both men only have a handful of fights between them
Miguel Vazquez will beat Burns in the Ring but will lose on the cards. Vazquez is going to need to Drop Burns once or twice in order to get the decision
Price is wasting his years staying at this level and needs to move on to challenging decent fighters from outside of the UK. Forget whatever belts there is to offer in the UK, cause beating bums like Skelton will do nothing for him as far as experience or status. I like the potential David Price has as a Heavyweight Champion, however, the very slow timetable and the choice of opponents for Price, has me wondering what his Management Team is scared of?
He's only had 14 fights. 29 is not old at HW. The big fights will come it's just a matter of time.
I disagree. Well i agree that 29 is not quite over the hill, but to only have 14 matches in nearly 4 years as a Professional Fighter is going beyond taking your time. Its becoming clear that Price and his team are going to wait out the Klitchskos Reign before they step in with a quality opponent or challenge for title. Well either that or Team Price knows about a flaw with Davey Boy and is keeping him out of Harms way. Time for Price to stop taping new episodes of BUM Fights and to start taking his journey to a title.
Its always hilarious to hear Khan talk about deserving a fight with Mayweather. That being said, even I have to admit that Khan will get a Fight with Mayweather and much sooner than people think. Floyd just signed a six fight contract Showtime and is running out of Sacrificial Lambs that Golden Boy keeps putting in front of him. Mayweather has refused a fight with Canelo, Martinez, PacMan or any other fighter who can pose a risk and Khan is a perfect no risk opponent that brings some money to the table. I have a feeling that if Matthysse wins the Tournament, Khan will either sign on for a rematch with Peterson/Garcia or jump straight to Mayweather. Luckily, Golden Boy owns Ring Magazine and the WBC, so they will be able to Purchase the Proper Rankings to make a Mayweather vs Khan a reality.
I still chuckle to myself when I hear how much of an all time legend Jeff Lacy is in the UK. Kovalev KOs Cleverly inside 9Rounds. Any Cleverly fans who care to make this interesting can wager with me
I got this as a 50/50 fight right now. Haye has got good power at heavyweight but when I think about the outcome, it all boils down to what Tyson Fury does. If Fury fights reckless, Haye by KO. If Fury fights like a big man, Fury by Decision. If Fury kills a hooker the night before, Haye by decision. Etc.. I am disappointed that Haye hasn't brought his mouth with him and is relying on Fury to bring all the theatrics but there is still over a month left and Haye is probably pacing himself. Or maybe Haye learned after the Klitschko fight that its better to win than to be entertaining. Either way, the winner should get a shot a Wlad Klitschko or at least fight Bermane Stiverne for the belt they will eventually strip from Vitali.
I like Kell Brook and thought he showed a lot of Heart in his fight on Saturday. That being said, its not a good sign when you are going life or Death with a B Level fighter in Carson Jones. I know everyone will say he easily won the first 4 rounds, problem is, this is not the amateurs and big time fights usually go 12. I still think Brooks has a chance to win a title, with a now very average welterweight division, but all the Running and Hugging is not going to win him any fans in the States. I thought a fight with Amir Khan would be the best Choice for Brooks but i now i think it would be a very boring fight with both men running laps instead of Fighting.
Zab Judah and Maidana are both heavy hitters at 140 and saying only one of them has "decent power" is absolutely insane. Maidana of 2010 was in his prime coming off big KO wins over Ortiz and Cayo. You can't compare the beast Khan fought that to the battle worn Maidana that Alexander had the luxury of fighting in his hometown and at 147 were Maidana doesn't belong. But if you like triangle theories you can also bring up the Kotelnik fight for Alexander and Khan
Judah was well past his days and Maidana is an overrated puncher. Marcos Maidana has power no doubt, but his only KO over a top fighter was against Victor Ortiz. Bringing up Victor Cayo is as ridiculous as saying Paul McCloskey deserved a title shot. And i think everyone has learned that Ortiz, like his father, will bail once the going gets tough as he did with Mayweather and most recently against Josesito Lopez. Futhermore, to say Alexander only schooled Maidana because he was in his hometown is truly insane. There was no reason to think that Marcos was ever in that fight or that things would of been different at Jr Welterweight. I know all the Fans of Amir Khan like to think of Maidana as the most powerful puncher in the world but he is not. Truth hurts sometimes, but it is what it is. Kotelnik is a decent comparison but not sure how that relates to Danny Garcia? If you are comparing Alexander and Khan it makes sense, but we are talking about this upcoming fight with Garcia. I bring up Morales and Alexander to show Khan fans that Maidana is not this greatest puncher in the world but you guys will pretend those fights did not happen and will state that Garcia was just fighting an old washed up Morales, but forget that Khans biggest names on his resume is the old washed up Barrera and Judah. The Old washed up Morales was able to take all those punches from Maidana without running and its a fact that Garcia was able drop Morales late in the his fight. Kotelnik was a nice try though, but try again.
Danny must not have watched Khan fight Maidana... a far harder puncher than Danny could ever even dream to be.
And I don't recall Khan taking a seat in that fight... he might have been in trouble, but never went down or was put to the point of being out on his feet.
The ancient and out of shape Morales took all those same punches from Maidana and had Marcos in trouble quite a few times without getting on bicycle or holding on for dear life. For that matter Devon Alexander thoroughly schooled Maidana on how to fight without running all over the ring. Khan has good hand speed and decent power, but Amir's chin will always be his achilles' heel. Theres a reason why Khan has only faced one man with decent power in his career.
This is such bullchit. I clearly remember Arum in Bradleys corner when the decision was announced cheering with Timmy. Maybe i am wrong, but all this seems very shady. Starting to feel like PacMan was setup by Papa Arum.
I bash Amir Khan mainly because his fans are delusional, but the vato does not need to retire. The Problem Amir Khan is having is that he wants his Trainer to only focus on Amir Khan and in this time, thats impossible. All the top trainers have multiple fighters in their gyms. Emanuel Steward has Wlad Klitschko and his boy Andy Lee. Robert Garcia has Nonito Donaire, Brandon Rios, Miguel Garcia, Marcos Maidana, Joan Guzman Kelly Pavlik and few other top prospects in his stable. Nacho Beristain has Juan Manuel Marquez, Juan Carlos Salgado, Vicente Escobedo and a bunch of other Mexicans. So basically, Khan will have to take the Tyson Fury route and look for a trainer with little name recognition. Might be a good move but i think he will stay with Roach. The Other Problem for Khan is that in order to be a defensive fighter, you will get hit more often as well as have to use most of his energy in dodging and moving instead of the fast hands that made him a good fighter. Defensive Fighters biggest attribute is their Chins and Khan does not have one. Khan is at a bigger crossroads than after the Prescott loss and this decision to try a new trainer and style could get him to fly again... or crash burn. Time will tell.
If we had known it was going to take David Price almost 5 years to get 20fights, then no one would of been surprised at that timetable. Whats surprising is that Price wants to wait another year and a half before he gets a Real Title shot. Nobody cares about the NABF or the BBBoC Championships, so i think its time for Price to man up and fight the Klit Brothers. I love Chirs Arreola but how in the world has he been able to get two opportunities at the Heavyweight Title? David Price wont stop complaining about Tyson Fury even though the Real Heavyweight Champion seems to want to setup a fight between the two. 18 months is a long time to get ready for a man who is already 28 years old.
Well you learn something new every day thanks, so they belong to America the land of freedom and opportunity yet they have no say in there legislation and no say in who writes that legislation and no vote yet they still pay taxes ?
The United States has been trying to make them a state for years but the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico elects to remain just a Territory. I think its bullchit but thats what the Ricans want. And I use to think all you U.K. pansies were educated enough to keep your mouth shut instead of showing your ignorance.
Is Khan still crying about this fight? He wants revenge on a feather fisted fighter, but will make no mention of Prescott, who really embarrassed him. Khan is a good fighter with good hand speed and he should think about getting himself a new trainer that will teach him defense instead of just running. I would like to see Khan fight Bradley next, and then take on some Big Punchers, so he can quiet all the Critics(myself included) who say he has trouble with anyone that applies pressure. But First, Khan needs to get past Garcia, who is going to be a very tough Opponent.
At least khan knows his ethnicity and where he's from Danny Garcia hasn't a clue neither's his father one minute he's Puerto Rican the next he all American your either one or the other you cant be both
Puerto Ricans are American Citizens, they just cannot vote. I am not a fan of Puerto Ricans and think that a man shaving his eyebrows is weird, but they do belong to the United States. So Yes, they can be both
Hawai'i is an official state. US protectorates include the US Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, and the Northern Mariana Islands.
Damn you beat me to the Post. Its better that you answered first because all I knew about was the Virgin Islands, PRico and American Samoa. But im tired of giving this guy a free education, so back to ****.
Kell Brook is somewhat right that Americans are taking notice of him and if wants to be a name over here, he needs to get on American Television more often. Fighting of the undercards in America is a smart move, but a smarter move would be to Headline an ESPN FridayNight Fight or even on NBCSports. The Russian Magomed Abdusalamov is making big waves over here with his Power Display and a lot of Americans want to see him again. However fighting Americans in the UK is not going to do it, due to the fact that a lot of Americans will believe its a Hometown Decision if there is not Knockout. Come across the Pond for lesser money and make your name known over here, and eventually, Brook will get all the Money he wants...as long as he keeps winning.
Whats good for the Goose...
What the hell is a Gander anyway? Peterson should demand a 60/40 split, with a rematch clause and Promotional Options on Khans next three Fights. And when Amir refuses, just claim he priced himself out of the fight. Team Khan has shamefully used these tactics to countless fighters and would be poetic to get the same treatment in return
Do Khan Fans Understand the Meaning of a Mandatory Challenger??? Khan did not give Peterson a Shot, Peterson was the Mandatory and Khan would of been stripped had he not Fought Lamont. I will say that i find it Hilarious that Khan fans feel he is a big Draw in America when at one point SKy shut down their Boxing PPV rather than Showcase his Fights, but we are to believe He is Bigger and more popular over here? Get over Yourselves, Froch and Hatton even came out and said Khan lost but what do they know...they only Accomplished things Khan only wish he could, but they are probably jut Jealous
Just Kidding About the D.C. Comment
I dont Think either Fighter is Dirty but Ward will make up for his lack of Power with ToughNess as well as a bit of a Nasty Streak, which contradicts his Choir Boy appearance and where the Dirty Label comes From. I like Froch to win by Staying on the Outside and controlling the Fight with His Jab however Ward is too Crafty to Let Froch win on Plan A alone.. I think the Fighter with the Best Adjustments throughout the Fight will win and Just Hope Theres NO Ref/Judges/Promoters/The City Of D.C. Controversy following this Matchup which seems to be the Norm in Big Fights Right Now
Run FatBoy Run... Hard to Claim Victory when You Run the Entire fight. In the Rematch Stand Firm and Learn to Fight on the Inside and to Counter, because it will be hard to get a Decision in America when you are Training with Usian Bolt. Besides Roach is the Greatest trainer in the Universe and Khan the Greatest In this Dimesion but you guys only follow Plan A and make no Adjustments. Maybe its time for a new Trainer? Khan Reminds me alot of Paul WIlliams, But with a bigger Left Ear, where both Guys just throw Punches without Rhyme or Reason. If Khan would LEarn to Use his Height and Reach and to Setup COmbinations instead of just Throwing them he could actually become a Good Professional Fighter.
Chisora is alot like David Tua to me and a decent fighter with a good chin can beat David Tua. Fury has more skills than Chisora but will his Chin stand tall as well? I think so, and the size difference will be noticable by the later rounds. But i could wrong and Fury could have a chin that Amir Khan calls suspect and the fight could be quick. All kidding aside i think it will be a good match and i think Tyson will outwork chisora and get the Win on points
Haye did make make enough noise to generate a nice payday for both he and Klitschko, but wont happen again. After watching Haye refuse to fight, along with all those european flops, is hard to see the public being fooled again by the Hayemaker. If David continues to fight at HW, he either has to fight Vitali or become a stepping stone for up and comers. Fighting Vitali is not a smart option so Haye will have to fight live opponents such as Delboy, Fury, or even David Price to stay relevant. Americans like Arreola and Thompson ,or even the cuban Solis, will never get a shot at Haye and there is more money for David to fight fellow englishman so i imagine David will stay in-house with his future opponents. I will say that i now have Haye ranked below all the up and comers i mentioned due to the fact that Chisora Fury and Price would put up a much better challenge to the Klitschko than Haye is capable of doing.
