Although I think Amir Khan will win, he could barely take Rachid Drizlane, Willie Limond, and Michael Gomez's punches, as all three of these fighters knocked him down once in their fights against him. And of course the most brutal couple of knock downs/KO was against Breidis Prescott.
As average powered as Garcia is, if a guy who had 10 wins, 0 by KO could knock down Khan, I think Garcia can also knock down Khan as well. But Khan has improved since then however. As shown in the Maidana fight.
Add Danny Garcia's 3 knock downs. 8 total knock downs for Khan, 2 of 8 resulted in KO's.
Congrats to Garcia for beating the odds. I was rooting for him but thought he would lose.

these were at light welterweight. Khan was skinny as hell and tall for this class. he got knocked down quit often and still won all his fights until prescott killed him, actually prescott was just as lanky as khan was in that division. come to think of it. Khan hasn't been on the ground since he went up in weight at ALL.
Zab Judah and Maidana are both heavy hitters at 140 and saying only one of them has "decent power" is absolutely insane. Maidana of 2010 was in his prime coming off big KO wins over Ortiz and Cayo. You can't compare the beast Khan fought that to the battle worn Maidana that Alexander had the luxury of fighting in his hometown and at 147 were Maidana doesn't belong. But if you like triangle theories you can also bring up the Kotelnik fight for Alexander and Khan
Judah was well past his days and Maidana is an overrated puncher. Marcos Maidana has power no doubt, but his only KO over a top fighter was against Victor Ortiz. Bringing up Victor Cayo is as ridiculous as saying Paul McCloskey deserved a title shot. And i think everyone has learned that Ortiz, like his father, will bail once the going gets tough as he did with Mayweather and most recently against Josesito Lopez. Futhermore, to say Alexander only schooled Maidana because he was in his hometown is truly insane. There was no reason to think that Marcos was ever in that fight or that things would of been different at Jr Welterweight. I know all the Fans of Amir Khan like to think of Maidana as the most powerful puncher in the world but he is not. Truth hurts sometimes, but it is what it is. Kotelnik is a decent comparison but not sure how that relates to Danny Garcia? If you are comparing Alexander and Khan it makes sense, but we are talking about this upcoming fight with Garcia. I bring up Morales and Alexander to show Khan fans that Maidana is not this greatest puncher in the world but you guys will pretend those fights did not happen and will state that Garcia was just fighting an old washed up Morales, but forget that Khans biggest names on his resume is the old washed up Barrera and Judah. The Old washed up Morales was able to take all those punches from Maidana without running and its a fact that Garcia was able drop Morales late in the his fight. Kotelnik was a nice try though, but try again.
Khan sleeps on his opponents now because he thinks of himself as a star. Khan will get pressured and tagged but will hang on to make it close.....close enough for the judges to say he won every round. Meanwhile, Khan will be bleeding and look like he has been in a war, good thing Garcia is an unknown.

actually he was coming off a gift victory over demarcus corley. after that fight khan signed to fight him a couple days later.
6/1 Odds, It's like Eddie Murphy in the Distinguished Gentleman Flick...
Name Recognition, and Khan's Self Promotion....Danny looks like a LIVE DOG,
to Me!!!
The ancient and out of shape Morales took all those same punches from Maidana and had Marcos in trouble quite a few times without getting on bicycle or holding on for dear life. For that matter Devon Alexander thoroughly schooled Maidana on how to fight without running all over the ring. Khan has good hand speed and decent power, but Amir's chin will always be his achilles' heel. Theres a reason why Khan has only faced one man with decent power in his career.

I only watched Garcia vs Morales once so I may be crazy. But I seem to recall Morales busting up Garcia's face and controlling most of the fight. Garcia missed wide with majority of his punches but did come on late, so he still gets props. But, was it Morales fading due to age, wear, tear, etc or Garcia coming on down the stretch. 7 to 8 years ago Erik starches this kid. Also, I can't get out of my mind how Morales was mocking Garcia's wide punches by throwing slow left/right hooks at the air with his eyes closed...some funny sh*t. Wonder if Khan can make him pay when he misses with those wild hooks.

Erik Morales could do no wrong in my eyes :boxing:
1 of the best of all time to come out of Mexico.
he was pretty well done before Garcia, tbh. Garcia will have to fight like never before to beat Khan. its not that Khan is too good, its more like Garcia is not good enough vs Khan at least. Garcia is the next ... whats that guys name?? the lightweight from chicago that Pac beat...???... Oh Diaz!!
David Diaz. exactly my point
A Old Morales is still 10x Tougher Then Khan...as show against Maidana in which Morales looked better against Maidana then Khan did
Khan Needed Help From Cortez just to survive that match lol
WTF... How dare you P u T o S speak of seÑor morales in this manner! Choose your words carefully frendos! Terrible is a future HOF! In his prime terrible would have rapped both of this jotos...! Señor Khan please whoop this marika from vegas all the way to pakistan!!! PURO TIJUANA MIS CABRONES! VIVA MEXICO
Now you haters saying Morales washed up bet all of you were saying Morales would win when khan is is hurt on his glass jaw he runs or holds for dear life garcia got this
The fact you could hurt an old, out of shape, shot Morales; and you talk about your punch power. He tried to knock out Morales... Unlike Canelo with Mosley, who looked like he just tried to out box and not hurt!
morales may be old, but he has an excellent chin and yes his chin is levels better than khans. that goes without saying. garcia asked a legit question. he has the power to hurt khan. but he has to hit him first. can he? we will see.
