In theory cotto is a better opponent coz of his size, Strengh & hits harder then marquez but marquez is alot more clever then cotto, Better chin & don't fold under pressure like cotto does ( The way he hates getting hit)
Froch, Kessler, Abraham, Bika, etc. Bute's best win is a past prime Glen Johnson:lol1:. Bute's resume is a joke. Ward will beat him easily if Bute even fights him.
Kessler fight was a joke, I don't think kessler even expect'd Ward to be half as good as he turned out to be. Ok bute resume is **** fine but who has andre fought to make him no.2 Pound for pound? Wlad has more of a claim than andre.
Who tha hell has ward fought to make him no.2? Froch with limited skill & is slow as hell?, Arbraham who is a a below par boxer but good puncher or mabye bika? Im 99%Dirrell beats andre in a comfortable UD.
I agree..
What people fail to see because they are new to the sport is that P4P rankings typically goes to the BIGGER men. The only reason why the WW division is the division to be at is because the HEAVY WEIGHT divison is DEAD!
With that being said FLoyd Mayweather is P4P the best fighter in the world hands down. I dont care which fighter you are a fan of, skill wise floyd still got it & until someone beats him he is P4P the best because he's fought the best and beat the best.
Andre Ward is def number 2 behind him because he is a BIGGER man who is technically one of boxing best. The guy KNOWS how to win in any situation. Where as fighters like Pac, Martinez, Marquez only have one style. You've never seen a fight where you actually seen them thinking & adapting to their opponent. Thats what seperates the great from the good...Mayweather and Ward are the only fighters who adapt and technically destroy their opponents...
No one has ever pushed andre though., He's always been allowed to fight his fight. Can't wait to see him fight out of his comfort zone somone who is'nt a pressure fighter or a guy who is tough without skill. Dirrell beats him Imho. Which fight made you feel andre was an ATG in the making?
I personally think Robert Garcia is the better trainer when it comes to pure boxing. He actually trains his fighters on how to box effectively in every aspect, whereas I feel like Roach's training revolves around nothing but speed and power.
In most Roach training videos, especially when he trains Pac, is just him telling Pacquiao to throw fast combinations and then take a step to the right. Then when Pac actually fights he does none of that. All heavy bag and pad work it seems. I guess you could say it's been working since he hasn't lost but you can tell he's a one dimensional fighter throwing wild punches from weird angles. You can tell this is something he picked up from his training.
Then we have Amir Khan, this guy is just the epitome of a incomplete fighter and I think it's do to his trainer. Horrible defense, throws wild jabs, and don't even get me started on his inside fighting.
Who do you think is the better trainer and why? Vote in poll.
Notable Robert Garcia fighters: Antonio Margarito, Nonito Donaire, Brandon Rios, Miguel Garcia, Kelly Pavlik, Victor Ortiz for a while
Notable Freddie Roach fighters: Manny Pacquiao, Amir Khan, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., and UFC's Georges St. Pierre
I'd say ROach even though I feel he's overrated too.
256 is LESS than 276 though isn't it...
Buckley fought fighters like Brook, Prince naseem, Johnny Breadhal, Duke Mckenzie, Michael brodie, Colin Mcmillan &"world champ" Gavin rees!
