GGG won the fight but Father Time loses to no man and tonight I saw GGG slowing down and not as accurate as he has been. Golden Boy waited until GGG wasn't what he once was and Canelo still couldn't stand and trade with him. GGG will lose the re-match to Father Time. Canelo just has to pro-long the re-match and show up on fight night.
Floyd Mayweather has no punch, no threat to hurt the true champions who would have walked right through his defense because there was no punch to fear. Tommy and Ray Leonard would have knocked him out easy, everyone talks about Floyd being fast, Ray and Tommy were just as fast but their velocity would knock Floyd out. Benetiz would have out sped him, Duran would have out worked him easily. All because Floyd has NO punch. Let Floyd have his due, he is the best slap boxer of all time.
We are all boxing fans here but who among us are going to spend any money to see another rerun of an okay fight. It will be the least watched fight that pac has been in since he made the big time. People are tired of crappy matchups. Not only will I not pay for it but I have no interest on seeing the fight when it is replayed. Broner, Khan, or Crawford I would have paid for.
Im a pac fan but im really wondering about his domination of the bigger guys. Back in the day nobody moved up in weight like he has and had this much success. Wildredo Gomez was a monster but as soon as he stepped up a few pounds he got hammered by Salvadore Sanchez. Aaron Pryor never thought about moving up from junior welter to welter to face Suger Ray Leonard. I thought it was a coward move for Oscar to challenge Pac. Of course he would win. But Pac dominated. Hatton had no reason to fear a smaller man and gave him no respect in the ring. He was the bigger guy and knew Pac had trouble with smaller guys at 135. Hatton got hammered. He fights a true welter in Cotto and looks like superman. I think Pac is a phenomenal fighter but nobody will know for sure until he fights floyd totally clean.
Pac has only agreed to the money and the test comes with it. Without help he might look like Mosley who took Margarito to school before test. After testing not so good. Last we see of Pac at a bigger weight if he takes the test. I don't like Floyd. He ducked way to many good fighters. Pac didn't duck anyone. I'm stating to wonder why.

His promoter should have advised GGG to meet with Canelo's people and come up with a monetary agreement for GGG to go along with Canelo's claim of bad meat and the issue would have gone away but now to say " don't cancel your plans" tells me that GGG isn't getting good business advice because he could lose his biggest purse ever if this fight doesn't happen. Nobody is going to spend a lot of money to watch GGG fight unless it's against Canelo.
Philly? Philly used to mean something back in the day. Philly fighters, even the sparring partners were better than most top ten contenders. Not now. Danny needs to go back down to junior welterweight. He got his ass handed to him by Thurman so now he's fighting Rios, who's only good win was against Alvarado . Does anyone know who Alvarado is besides me and you? Danny can only make a living on his past wins, his reputation. He isn't doing nothing from here on out, besides being a name for other good welterweights to build their resume on. Him bringing the city of Philadelphia into it is a disgrace to the great fighters that came from there. The Philly wars in the gym were real.
Shane was one of the greatest but that was years ago. He looked his age when he fought Floyd and he's not getting any younger. That was a pathetic performance. He needs to hang em up.

Hats off to Haye. never been a big fan but he showed a lot of heart, fighting through a leg injury. If you can't use all of your lower leverage to throw a punch or move away from one you are bound to get caught eventually.

Amir knows he is not an elite fighter so he is trying to get one good payday before he is exposed as such. He only wanted Mayweather or Pac to get that money, not because he ever thought he could actually win. He knows once he loses to Brook his career is over so he is trying to maximize his purse.
