I think Wilder has been smoking a little too much from the bong.
He even said earlier that he had a better resume than Mike Tyson and also was more feared than him!
so If Ortiz gets nailed with this, does that mean the WBA will make a new mandatory for Antony Joshua? cuz in the rankings Ustinov is next in line and then Manuel Charr, somehow...lol
you could also say Anthony Joshua when he took on Klitschko in only his 19th fight and even Eddie Hearn said it was soon for AJ but fortunately for Eddie, AJ stepped up and passed the test.
For the love of god, I just want someone in the heavyweight division to knock Wilder's lights out, take that belt and restore integrity to the WBC & heavyweight boxing in general.
How can Wilder parade around like he's the best fighter in the heavyweight division when you have a guy like Joshua who took on Klitschko in his 19th fight and whereas Wilder fought a total can in his 19th fight?
Canelo is clearly the most popular ACTIVE fighter right now in boxing including Manny as he has fallen off of the map
I said AMERICAN, Canelo is not American.
meaning Only American fighters.
If Loma and Linares got in the ring together, it would be the most amazing thing ever.
It would probably the most graceful fight ever! it would be an art exhibition, not a boxing match imo. lol
LOL & yea tend to agree with all of this.
GGG nabbing the BJS belt helps steer Canelo to him in theory cuz you do seem to need "a" belt at least these days, but then again there are all sorts of belts with interim belts, regular belts or I'd imagine the WBC would invent a belt for Canelo to wear (sh^t I think they already did for this fight actually) & to get some of his purse via sanctioning fees for. Its basically a hustle on both ends.
But the overall stance that GGG is gonna get B side status in this fight, if it even happens, is written in stone already. If Tom or GGG are under any real illusion he's getting 50/50 they are f#cking nuts. If Canelo gets KTFO in 1 round to Chavez Jr next month he's the A side still thats how uneven sh^t is between them & GGG isn't getting any younger.
my idea is that, yes canelo can leverage ggg with his drawing ppv power BUT what I'm saying is that he can have more of an upperhand on ggg if has that belt, then for sure, ggg has no choice to bow down to canelo's demands. ggg wants that last belt, so by canelo taking it, it ****s up ggg's career goal.
but everyone is thinking short term here.
i'm thinking long term.
so what? sure, a canelo/saunders fight is not much money compared to a canelo/chavez fight but in the long run, he will have a belt that Golovkin wants badly and Canelo could extort GGG for the rest of his career with that one belt.
No money in BJS ,and who knows if there would be another moment to take on Chavez ,also GGG fight will happen ,so if its for 3 or 4 belts doesnt matter as much as some ppl think.
what do u mean by that?
imo, Chavez will always be there.
But he's exciting. You can criticize his resume or say that he's one trick pony, inactive, aging and all of that is true but his fights are really exciting. Seeing him landing that big left hand on bums and cab drivers is a joy to watch
dude, are you his promoter or something?
