i boxed in France , obviously , in belgium and holland (as a kickboxer) .
i fought in the university championships and the amateurs , i hold titles in both.
i sparred a few domestic pros like frederic esther and world champ khalid rahilou (who beat frankie randall)
quartey and winky were in the gym when i just started boxing , but i never sparred them i was way to small and green at the time(quartey was famous for tryin to knock anybody out in the gym anyway)
maussa was a good champion . he took the belt via KO , had a weird style of an cripled octopus but he packs some punch , can take a punch , and fight with all his heart . i love maussa
the worst champion in recent times may be Bruno girard , in terms of skills and exictement.

ICE , every morning i see a scar next to my eye and a broken nose that remind me that amateur boxing is no baby game .
i was a feared KO artist in the amateurs but when i sparred seasoned pros they most of the times would let me fire my bullets and then use their superior stamina to outwork me . thing i noticed too is the use of body punching . risky in the amateur cause it may not be seen by the judges , but a great weapon to take the wind out of a fighter in the pros

anybody can beat anybody in the amateurs if youre smart enough to score and run . plus the judging is suspect to say the least at the world level
Probably what happened with Bernard Taylor and Jimmy Clark. In the case of Howard Davis Jr, couldn't really adapt to the pro way of things.
howard dvis jr lacked strenght and size IMO
RJ is a big middleweight , he is 175 in the ring , and he has a good chin . it think it can go the distance , but RJ slap punches are no danger to abraham

vargas cant fight at the world level anymore . he has great skills that s why he can beat TOP 15 fighters like castillejo , but his body isnt there anymore . and he is killing is already damaged body by making 154 where he doesnt belong anymore .
mosley seems to have a few fights left in him , and didnt take a lot of punishment in his career .
mosley stops him late and only because vargas is bigger . if not that would be a complete mismatch .

i agree with the robotic style , but i think what he really needs to do is go to 147 , he is obviously not able to make 140 without hurting himslef , and use UPPER BODY MOVEMENT for god sake , he keeps his hands high well but it s not enough , henedds to find angles and not block punches all the time , he wont block them all at the elite level .
