kesslers the one fight i'd call 50-50, it took a huge puncher in froch ages to fully get abrahams respect and stop him from trying to come in on him, I dont think martinez hits hard enough to keep abraham from walking him down and taking him out, put it this way martinez will be slower at 168 than dirrell, not as tall, not as lengthy, probably not as big a hitter as well, the one thing they will have in common is martinez will probably try to use the same tactics, abarahams walks him down takes him out around the 8th/9th
So what he is saying is that Williams lost to a guy fighting with his eyes closed. That to me says a lot more about Williams than it does Sergio, he was sloppy and dumb enough to get caught with a guy closing his eyes.

I think ward, dirrel, froch, abraham, kessler, bute all beat martinez but I think he beats the rest including glen johnson and allan green, he can move and keep away from those guys but he wont have the firepower to beat those other guys who already have a skill level similar to his now you add maybe being 20+lb heavier on the night is too tall an order imo he loses that one, he loses that one 9 times out of 10

dont matter matter hes 20 now so hes punching power is not going to change when have you seen a guy be a soft hitter at 20 than turn into a knockout machine 5 or 6 years later in his prime, it doesnt happen, the guys got above average power but defintelly not the kind of power people were claiming after the baldomir fight, I think he hits about as hard as a guy like antonio margarito, hes not gonna ko you with 1 shot, but if he keeps landing again and again everntually he'll wear you down and can then take you out
I think a huge payday for juan manuel marquez would be to fight this guy in mexico, they could do over 100,000 stadium easy and its a fight marquez can win, hes better in every way except size and might still be faster

Not only were they coming off beatdowns but they also clearly grew out of the weight that fought pacquaio at, hatton had no business at 140 anymore he looked like a dried fruit, margarito is a proper jnr middleweight now he looked ripped against that no name and nearly died to fight pacquaio, cotto had to lose 2 extra pounds and hes clearly a become proper welterweight/junior middleweight, Clotteys the only guy they let weigh in at his ideal weight but he was never at that level to start with. more Facts or opinion?
