According to BoxRec, he has defeated 2 opponents since 2001 with undefeated records: Emmanuel Lucero and Jorge Solis who had 2 draws.
I don't think that means much however. It is an interesting point, and obviously he has never faced a fighter of Floyd's caliber, but neither has Floyd faced one of Mannys.
part true/part not, imo
on paper, Marquez is a fighter of the caliber of manny, evidenced by their two fights. weight makes that statement mostly true though
The definition of a pactard, how the hell can you even argue with someone who is retarded enough to think that oscar wasn't weight drained?
I'm done with you, your brainwahsed
honestly, how can one back up an argument with oscar's words? he'll say anything to sell a fight
case in point, when he was going on and on about how good marquez looked leading up to the mayweather fight
when, a video leaked a few weeks before the fight showing the complete opposite
when even nacho said marquez wasn't doing a good job of retaining his speed with the weight he put on
doing all this while lying to marquez about the weight limit...
oscar is a business man, don't obtain that much money being honest
24 days is still a long time not to be tested
it has been posted several times over and over again that there is shit that can be out of your system by the next day, 24 days is ridiculous
didn't seem to affect him when blood was taken before the hatton fight, wonder why it's so different now
arthur abraham didn't make a fuss about olympic style testing, wonder why manny is
remember he's getting tested right after the fight.
that window he can use drugs (if he is cheating) is smaller than 24 days.
plus drugs is not something you just shoot up and you're all of a sudden great.
2 weeks of using it in camp will not help you much.
i can't really comment either way about the matter since i have never used this type of stuff, but i would imagine 20 days of top training as a result of PED's would benefit a fighter greatly. if i recall correctly, pac didn't start hitting his stride in training for cotto until about 30 days before the match. there was a lot of questions regarding pac and his level of commitment before that time frame. there were rumors that he 'wasn't looking too great' in camp through the problems with his team and such. then comes that 30 day time frame, where even roach commented on his training and how great he looked, obviously that little amount of time is enough then to alter his abilities. steroids or not.
not saying as a matter of fact either way because i don't like to assume, but i would say it's plenty of time to benefit a fighter. he can use whatever it might be for 22 days, have it out of his system by the fight and come clean during that test afterwords.
Man you are super smart
I didnt know you can KO (knock someone out) 4x's and have only beat him twice:thinking:
those were very controversial wins and he should man up and leave no doubt
but this is pac who weight drains people so im not suprised he goes after the feather fisted Paulie
he beat him once. the other was a tie.
someone should explain that to the other guy, as well as the fact that marquez has never been KO'd, much less four times against a guy he only fought twice and lost to once?
i like both pac and mayweather
but i do find it funny that, on one hand, there are twenty threads posted here a day discrediting and attacking mayweather, while at the same token, a lot is being spoken with regards to pac becoming one of, if not the greatest of all time by virtue of beating mayweather. seems rather suspicious to me.
one thing is clear in my mind, whoever wins will really have to fight mosely to be considered the best in the division. that is, if (more like when) mosely defeats berto.
that was a lot of blood. it wouldn't surprise me to be fake. then again, a simple hit to the nose could produce a lot of blood, been hit softly in the face with a soccer ball and bled a lot. they could have exaggerated the results though
This is Floyd training for Marquez NOW
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9U6Tnp2Gp4
i'm not a floyd fan, but is june 1st, when the video was uploaded, "now?"
a lot can happen over three months.
what happened to all the floyd nut riders saying he is such an amazing athlete that he could make 135-140 easily if he wanted to?
everything about him at this moment seems to be a joke, from his crack addicted family being sued for slander to being unable to pay the bills and now being unable to make weight. ****ing shame that this match has to be tainted by this joke.
jmm looks stronger to me..but he has added alot of fat along with muscle which may affect his stamina
stamina will be the least of JMM's many problems come fight night, when taking into consideration how many miles he ran in the altitude of toluca.
How come Adamek can get 50 plus pounds in less than three years and no one is screaming PEDS? But if Manny goes up what 20 lbs everyone is holla ROIDS...Lefty
honestly, why would you post this shit in an adamek thread. give it a break.
it would take an idiot to not realize how easy it would be for a guy that's 6'2 and walks around at 200 pounds to weigh 225. i know plenty of people under 6 feet that weight that much for ****s sake.
does king abraham not already take these blood tests as well as all of his opponents?
floyd isn't revolutionizing anything or asking anything that isn't necessary, he's just evolving with the times similar to AA.
Did any body else actually take the time to take a blood test and ask questions or see how you feel? Maybe you just happened to need a check up or something?
i had a few samples taken recently for my annual 'should have worn a condom that one night' testing
worked out after words much as i do every day. felt absolutely no difference.

Probably the most famous Irishman ever to reside in Mexico is the Wexfordman William Lamport, better known to most Mexicans as Guillen de Lampart, precursor of the Independence movement and author of the first proclamation of independence in the New World. His statue stands today in the Crypt of Heroes beneath the Column of Independence in Mexico City. Some authorities claim he was the inspiration for Johnston McCulley's Zorro, though the extent to which this may be true is disputed.
After Lampart, the most famous Irishmen in Mexican history are probably "Los Patricios". Many communities also existed in Mexican Texas until the revolution there, when they sided with Catholic Mexico against Protestant pro-U.S. elements. The Batallón de San Patricio, a battalion of U.S. troops who deserted and fought alongside the Mexican Army against the United States in the Mexican-American War of 1846 to 1848, is also famous in Mexican history. Álvaro Obregón (possibly O'Brian) was president of Mexico during 1920-24 and Obregón city and airport are named in his honour. More recently, Vicente Fox served as President from 2000 to 2006. Mexico also has a large number of people of Irish ancestry, among them the actor Anthony Quinn. There are also monuments in Mexico City paying tribute to those Irish who fought for Mexico in the 1800s. There is a monument to Los Patricios in the fort of Churubusco. During the Potato Famine, thousands of Irish immigrants entered the country, today, over 90,000 Irish descendants live in Mexico. Other Mexicans of Irish descent are: Romulo O'Farril, Juan O'Gorman, Edmundo O'Gorman, Anthony Quinn, Alejo Bay (Governor of the state of Sonora), Guillermo Purcell a businessman, former Miss Mexico Judith Grace Gonzalez, among many others. Today, the Irish community in Mexico is a thriving one and is mainly concentrated in Mexico City and the northern states.
white skinned mexicans are pretty common because of spaniards, red heads are rare but i have known a few
Its not a bad fight but its obvious to anyone not blinded by hate that Pavlik wants nothing to do with Paul Williams.
also didn't want any of abraham, also didn't want any of the super six. tried to pick on an old man but got taken to school. now that AA is at super middleweight and now that he has an excuse to not fight paul williams, i'm sure he'll stay at middleweight beating nobodies in his hometown for quite a while.
from an un-biased persective, if floyd gets past shane and then fights pac, the three fights he will have had after retirement will look pretty good on paper. that is to say, three guys that were among many top 5 pound for pound list for the past several years. granted, one of them was fighting where he shouldn't have been, but still.
i'm pretty excited for this fight. for some reason i can only see it going one of two ways - floyd comfortably UD's shane, or shane does to floyd what he did to margo. no inbetween.
