Why is Pacquiao even considering Malignaggi over a Marquez trilogy?

i would have loved to see a third fight between the two at 135. i think at above that weight it becomes too much for marquez and the added weight puts pacman at too big an advantage. i think it was after the hatton fight and in the build up to the cotto fight that i realised that the two would never meet in the ring again. true they may manage some sort of agreement, i.e. catchweight of 142 or maybe a LWW fight between 135-140. i think the issue of weight would mean that it just won't be a level playing field, either one fighter will be dried out or the other will be too small. if anything i think a third fight might be an anti-climax and may even tarnish what was two very good fights between the two combatants. i think in the last few years (since the diaz fight at LW anyway) pacman has just gone onto another level. especially since he has moved up. jmm has gone the other way since he has moved up in weight, he now takes more punches than before and is coming off a humbling loss to pbf. pacman imo should look to take on someone like malginaggi or bradley. both are fast fighters who prefer to counter and fight on the outside. both are defensively savvy and would be good practice for a pbf fight. if hes going to take on paulie imo he might as well take on bradley instead.

There is nothing remotely competitive about a fight with Malignaggi, not to mention lucrative. Marquez isn't lined up to fight anyone right now (he won't wait on Hatton to make up his mind) so what's stopping this? The only plausible and acceptable reason is that Pacquiao wants the trilogy to be his last fight. I know Roach has said he wants it, Pacquiao claims he wants it, so make it happen. I just don't know another fight that would make him more money aside from Mayweather and at the same time not be a huge slap in the face to boxing fans. Pacquiao-Malignaggi is a hard slap in the face. this is boxing not a a street fight. I think Marquez is one of GBP fighters so now GBP and Top Rank have some disagreement over the Mayweather vs Pac fight. It only needs time to resolve there issue but the problem is still fresh

The second reason is because Paulie is a good tune up for FMJ. he moves well uses hi sjab and has very fast hands. It can give PAC more time to prepare for FMJ and learn how to cut off the ring. This whole ROIDS thing is a ploy for both fighters to postpone the fight gie more tie for a build up and a world tour. This is big bucks and it was too quick for it to happen. This is the smarter business move. In the end PAC will test and be clean and they will both fight. Boxing will look like a good clean sport the fight will be better promoted and have more of a climax all leading to more $$$$$......Lefty Point taken. Well said.

Because Marquez is promoted by Golden boy. There's nothin wrong with it man. Paulie is one helluva fighter! The only other person acceptable for Pacquiao to fight if it's not Marquez is, like someone said previously, Timothy Bradley, but it's no secret I'd rather see the trilogy.
