I think him being tired is being overstated. I've seen guys way more done where they can barely stand and are falling down all over the place. Shane is still a great athlete and looked fine out there. Yeah he was tired but his fatigue isn't what stopped him from throwing. It was the threat of being countered with something hard from Floyd.
Same thing with the Cotto fight. He just didn't throw down the stretch it wasn't because he was tired, it was because he didn't want to get countered.
The Truth. The past fights I have seen Mayweather in nobody wants to throw. Hatton, Cotto, Marquez, now Mosley. Once they started getting countered they tried throwing pop shots just like floyd only it doesn't work unless you are floyd. Neutralization at its best.
I agree that this fight is going to be one sided, but who else can manny fight??? He's beat everyone else worth fighting and the only fight anybody wants to see probably won't happen anytime soon. Why not give Shane a shot?
combination of both maybe? I tend to think the majority are single, basement dwelling, 40 year olds. especially the mods. could be completely wrong though.
Well first off you need to clarify which category you fit into the best.
So much hostility......So OG what's the match looking like today with Arsenal v. Marseille.
I don't see a John Terry "slipping on a banana peel" opening for Van Persie against Marseille, but I have them winning.
The Pacman knew he lost. Head down, straight to the corner. I do believe he might have been crying, but I don't think we will ever know. Fighters know when they have lost and Pacquiao knew he lost. He(Pacquiao) seemed to have a confused look on his face when the majority decision was given.
I watched the fight on a stream. One in which there was a chat available. Throughout the fight everyone who was chatting gave at least 7 rounds to Marquez. I know this proves nothing, but if EVERYONE was giving the rounds to Marquez I don't see how the judges could have given Pacquiao the majority decision, especially with one judge scoring the fight even 114-114.
The judge who scored the fight 116-112 must have been distracted by a ring girl or something.
"It's hard when you're fighting your rival and the three judges" Juan Manuel Marquez post fight with Manny Pacquiao.
once and for all people need to realize, THEY WERE NOT CLOSE...they were not good buddies...they didnt hang out etc etc etc...the reason they were in the car together was because Ali wasnt planning on fighting again, he was going to do a book about his life and he wanted to interview Joe for it...but they didnt eat dinner together, talk on the phone, hang out etc...anyway, they meet up and they got in the car and talked, Ali recorded it...they started talking what would have happened IF THEY HAD FOUGHT and they both gave their view (its GREAT STUFF by the way)...the conversation is AMAZING, very interesting, they talk about females, boxing, opponents, etc etc)...
Is it possible their is a recording of this somewhere on the internet? If anyone could find a copy and share with the rest of boxing scene, green k could be in coming their way.
I forget the Ali movie a bit, but didn't Frazier(james toney) drive Ali in a car and talk to him in that movie about something?
You are right. I'm not sure what they were talking about either, but they were definitely on friendly terms.
Most of the time to sell a fight you need a hero and villain. The classic good versus evil. You have to choose and side. Ali knew this all too well.
FLOMOS: Arum is lying! Gomez is lying! Everybody is LYING!!! Right Floyd? Tell me you ain't fighting Erik next!!!
FLOYD: Yes, I'm fighting Erik on May 5 next year!!!
FLOMOS: Erik is a warrior, a Hall of Famer, an ATG!!! He looked good against his previous fights coming back from retirement. He is starting to get his form back!! This is a very dangerous fight for Floyd but will seal his legacy if he beats Erik! Props to Floyd for taking this fight! Go Floyd!!!
Exactly. If this is true and does happen then all of the sudden erik is an all time great and has a tone left in him, which he is an all time great, but Floyd would beat Erik on UD. Doesn't Erik have a belt? That is all floyd is after just like the ortiz fight, which was a mismatch in the first place.
Same crap, different day.
Pavlik needs a win over a big name again that is all. He is not on the list because he hasn't proved himself against another big name. A win over Williams would be great because it would put his name is back in peoples mouths again.
I'am literally in shock of some of the threads i have been seeing today
Wait your telling me the Floyd > Ali thread is retarted??? You would be 100% correct. Idiots.
