EA Sports has announced a new game coming for the PS3, 360 and Wii called Facebreaker. Where the Fight Night series is the company’s sim representation of the sport, Facebreaker will be the arcade entry with a cartooney look all its own. Both Fight Night Round 4 and Facebreaker are being developed out of EA Canada with Facebreaker being the first of the two to be released.
The game features fictional boxers plus the ability to use “Game Face” which was first implemented with Tiger Woods 08. Touted is the “real-time facial deformation”.
Laugh out loud as you pummel your opponent with a barrage of blows to the face and watch in satisfaction as your progress is illustrated by real-time facial deformation. With haymakers, face shots and body blows, wait for the right moment to drop a super punch to make your presence known. Taunt your adversaries and flaunt your talent, by tying one hand behind your back to add ultimate humiliation to your bout. In FaceBreaker, it just feels good to rearrange your opponent’s face.
No word on when to expect Facebreaker to release other than it will be out sometime this year. More information and screenshots will be in the March edition of EGM so it won’t be long until more is known. The official website for the game is set to go live on Friday February 1st.

I guess parrying and being left open for 3 secs is real also? They gotta fix that shit.
I was talking about this in the arcade talk thread, its fuckin shocking shit, especially the way they counter body shots too, i went for a drink came back and the opponent was still wide open after the counter. They released three fucking fight nights and they couldnt even put a ref between the fighters, what a joke, fucking WWE smackdown had a fucking a ref on like ps2.
The game is shit, nothing like real boxing and who the fuck wants to be Vincente escobedo.
:lol1:
Are you serious?
Fight night is as realistic as it gets, its just like real life
I can hit someone with 50 clean Hayemakers and they never go down.
I can shred a guys face to bits and the ref never stops the fight.
My major title fights happpen in some shitty ballroom arena which holds about 20 fans.
I can be world champion at 3 different weights at the same time and move up and down in weight defending them all.

I'll give it a shot but I'm more excited about something I know is going to be good and won't pad Don Kings pockets in any way shape or form.
FYI.... Your boy (and mine) is part of Prizefighter! :)
fight night is supposed to be a boxing sim???????????????lol.............

It's just not cool when Roy does it anymore.....I promise you if he steps in the ring with Bad Chad he will be bruatlly KOed again.
In your opinion, and thats fine. I hope Roy proves everybody wrong. It just bothers me that some so passionatley want to see him fail.
ummm last time i checked, EA sports studio in chicago, which handled FN 1, 2, 3 was shut down. Meaning FNR4 was shelved for the moment being. My info is courtesy of Game Enforcer mag. I checked the source link on the first post in this thread and it mentions nothing of FNR4, only Facebreakers. So unless someone can provide credible info stating that FNR4 is in development, dont hold ur breath. It aint happening.
I'd like to see about 50-70 fighters in FNR4. Like Maybe 6-8 division with 20 fighters in each division: 10 active, 10 HoFers
We will never see that shit. They get lazy when they make title's. They spend so much fucking time making the game, that all that time they could've added more people.
Facebreaker is probably the boxing version of nba street
Instead of gamebreaker, its facebreaker. Makes sense. I hope to see a Zab Judah dance in the game.
