Corruption in the Amateurs is far worse than the Pros
Fckin sure it is,
Have you ever tried to win a fight away from home?
You have to ko someone to the point of them being unconscious to MAYBE get a decision.
Some of the judging in the amateurs is awful, and not fair on some of the young lads who train hard to have their confidence dashed liked that fairly regularly.
Its not about having this sport or that sport, it's the corruption involved in the sport.
As much as I would love nothing more than to see boxing in the Olympics, this may be good in the long run to sort some of that corruption out at amateur level
No, I get the ****iness, and the showboating. That's part of the fight game. I'm talking about the, "he moves inefficient, he should slip right, come with the left, he is too slow to beat GGG/Canelo blah blah blah".
That **** irks the hell out of me. He just comes off like he's the authority on everything fighting when he got choked tf out twice, and straight up quit. He's acting like he's actually the Ali of boxing, or something.
Literally not even Floyd says BS like that. He just says, ummm, well, you know, he's a hell of a fighter, and he should put on a great show, or beat blah blah blah. He doesn't act like he's the only fighter on Earth that knows about fighting.
Well straight up, lets just say if, and a big IF.
McGregor beats Floyd, would you change your stance?
If it's a one punch ko or a quick ko, will say it was lucky or whatever?
Or use the Floyd is old excuse.?
Now I don't believe McGregor beats Floyd, it at the same time of course I want him to win, I don't buy into all this it will hurt boxing and all this shiiit.
And I think people making this a boxing vs mma thing is ridiculous.
Connor is not like most mma fighters so their is no way they can compare him to other mma fighters in a boxing ring.
If McGregor does win, 100% it puts him right at the top of combat sport, all most like Bruce Lee **** haha.
But this won't hurt boxing, he might continue boxing IF he beats Floyd and you could be guaranteed he will fight the best at almost any weight.
So would you change your mind if McGregor pulled off the odds and beat him?and acknowledge that he is something special??
Now obviously none of this matters if he loses which is the most likely outcome haha
It is boxing vs MMA and only a stupid person can't see the obvious. If you want Conor to win you're nothing more than a casual boxing fan. Just be real about it without the BS about how Conor is good for boxing.
And I suppose your a "hardcore" fan are you??
Maybe I want Connor to win mainly cause I'm Irish, and I don't wanna see Floyd go 50-0 and retire straight away.
If Connor stays in boxing, is that bad for the sport??
Would love to see that....
But McGregor would more than likely have to return to UFC for contract reasons.
I wonder if he does beat mayweather tho, will he tell ufc fck off, and pay them the rest of his contract seen as he would instantly become the most marketable, highest paid fighter in history in any combat sport.
Cause let's be honest the chances are very slim, but if he does pull it off he would instantly become a real life Bruce Lee, Chuck Norris figure in combat circles.!
If you have an android phone, buy an iptv services .
Cast it to your tv. If you have a firestick or android box, even better .
I have two IPTV carriers in case one is down. They are so cheap, they are so worth it.
$5 a month on some .
Would they show BT box office tho as its only new??
Use Acestream and head over to /r/BoxingStreams when the card starts for HD links.
Is acestreams any good??
Iv been thinking about downloading them for awhile, but a bit wary about them?
Can I also say I'm fairly pissed at frank warren and box nation!!!
Everything that used to be on box nation has been changed to BT,their is literally no fights on box nation these days!
Ah canelo will stop brook 2...
Ya brook will put up a good fight, might even make it competitive for a bit...he will put up more of a fight than smith for sure, but itl only be a matter of time until Alvarez stops him
Kovalev and Ward only signed a contract to actually fight each other a couple of weeks ago.
It was initially agreed though...
Cant make a fight like that in the space of a couple of weeks id say
If he could have made it in the pro's, he would have. Why would he choose underground fights for little money if he could have been making stacks in the pros?
O and he was in prison for gbh and stuff, and was a bit mental, don't think he would have got a license anyway, but he was fighting for like the krays and all those gangster types (the same way Bronson did) so maybe their was more money in unlicensed boxing (at that time)..
Sure 30 thousand people showed up for the 2nd or 3rd fight against shaw
If he could have made it in the pro's, he would have. Why would he choose underground fights for little money if he could have been making stacks in the pros?
Have you watched it?
It's a good documentary, he moved on to become a professional unlicensed boxer, before that he beat roy shaw (2ce) who I think was a professional for awhile before being certified insane and sent to broadmore...
Those unlicensed boxing fights were BRUTAL to say the least, and a lot like the old style fights...
Great documentary anyway
So DeGale admits to turning the fight down...against a guy who already beat him yet its groves that's shook ?
Anyway the groups of roadies that hang out with Chisora and DeGale are all a bunch of pricks. They pollue the crowd whereever they go and its funny that Chisora talks about being "real" or whatever he was saying. I saw someone step to him before the Whyte fight and Chisora weren't so "real" back then lol
I won't say more than that but if Chisora reads this, he knows what I'm talking about.
Say more ha.
And come on, groves looked a bit frightened, he basically backed down from DeGale and kept his mouth shut,.
I'd like to see groves ice him and **** him up, but obviously DeGale wants a lot more of the purse than what groves is willing to fight for.
Hmm maybe I should change the title ha
Stephen your boy Degale is a right BIG dildo - so its all about the percentages then hey James Degale?
When it comes to money he always phones up his mum and Eddie Hearn - proper muppet.
Just for the record, I don't give a Fiddlers fart about DeGale.
He was just in it for drug money haha
Put it this way
Got given Lenny's book
I read it in two days and ordered Roy Shaw's right away
Yeah Roy is a right loon
Tore a prison cell door off with his bare hands
Ya, heard they chipped some of his brain away in broadmore to "calm him down" haha
Yeah watched it last year
His son is a clown and full of shlt
There's a film coming out this year about Lenny
Get the book
Ya his son was annoying me a bit alright, ya I might do, I heard roy shaws book is supposed to very good also,, a right looper I say ha
So what? testing needs to be done for months. PEDs get cleared out of the system after a few hours/days/weeks depending on which PED we are talking about. But the effects remain. For example if you do an 8 week steroids cycle to gain power and train harder, you can come clean two weeks later. That's why testing needs to be done for months before a fight.
If you done an 8 week cycle of steroids, well your balls and what not would prob be shriveled as fck, sure just check their balls and all...
Been honest I couldn't really give a fck at the moment, I was only asking a question, so take your ped steroid **** argument to someone else who gives a fck....plenty of other whiney cunts on here for you to have your "debate"
I seen this happening, and actually made a thread about this after or before he won the title, about how they are gonna keep the title HOSTAGE in the UK....
Being honest though, I know he hasn't fought anyone of note, but I really think that's not his fault, I think Eddie and sky are behind this, blocking fights to keep the belt so they can have ppv shows in the UK...
Now I could be wrong, but I do feel that Kell himself wants to fight anyone, but his team, Eddie and sky are calling whatever and he feels he owes them so won't take a stance...
Bit like Pacquiao and arum situation
I'm watching the gatti vs ward trilogy at the moment, and micky ward was considered a journeyman.... that's why I started this,
Manny Pacquiao wouldn't be considered a journeyman but has lost 6 fights, but at the same time is amir Khan 2 losses off of entering "journeyman status"
I think it's each to their own really....but when does a boxer hit the point where we all recognise him as a journeyman?
Wlads 41 and been terribly inactive and not really regarded for having a great chin. I also feel AJ has improvAed significantly since then he is getting better with each fight.
I would need to see Whyte in there absorbing shots.
Its what really kind of throws me off he took AJs shots pretty well I wouldn't of actually of thought Chisora's would of had such an effect on him but boxings a weird sport at times and there are different types of power.
Ya I don't mean now like a tko but a clean KO.. which I still think will be a great feat seen as no1 has done that in god knows how long.....
Well I think chisora really trained hard, the old chisora showed up for one last time....
This was kinda a stupid thread to be fair, was just bored and wanted to know what others taught of his chin hahaha
Chisora can't punch and had him on the verge of going with every shot he landed.
I knew Chisora would be a hell of a lot more competitive than most felt going in but it honestly shocked me his punches had that much effect on Whyte.
I've not seen enough but enough to say I wouldn't class it as granite.
Maybe a 6 or 7/10 but I'd need to see more.
Ya maybe I was being a bit over generous by saying it was granite haha but certainly better than some of the heavyweights in the top 10 today, if we see AJ, Ko Klitschko, then would you rate whytes chin a bit better?
I'd say it's more his heart than his chin tbh.
He's got the heart of a fvcking warrior and even when it seems like he's hurt or on the verge of being knocked out he rallies back. Put up a great effort against Joshua and is the kind of fighter who will always give whoever he's in the ring with a tough nights work, unless you KO him clean like Joshua did until then he's not gonna back off an inch.
Incredible fighting spirit, he's a warrior. Never see it mentioned when people talk about Dillian but IMO it's one of his best attributes.
Yesss, that's exactly it....
He's not got the best boxing ability but he is an entertaining fighter, and one you know is gonna take a punch and come forward to score his own
