So Team Jacobs made sure GGG is doing VADA while their own fighter is not being tested at all. Jacobs could be training on full PED cycle since he isnt tested prefight at all. So what? testing needs to be done for months. PEDs get cleared out of the system after a few hours/days/weeks depending on which PED we are talking about. But the effects remain. For example if you do an 8 week steroids cycle to gain power and train harder, you can come clean two weeks later. That's why testing needs to be done for months before a fight. But they should be forced to it. 2) One guy posted here two days ago that Jacobs' team banned him from his Instagram account after he asked respectfully if Jacobs had already started VADA testing. I asked them via Twitter and got no response. As a competitor, knowing his opponent is testing, I would think he'd be willing to test. That he isn't says something about him IMO. Forcing him would require a change in the rule, which I doubt you could implement at this late stage. Moving forward, they should change the rules that both fighters have to test. IMO, I don't see why Jacobs team just doesn't come out and say we chose not to because we are not required. If they made the decision based on cost, say so. It's not retarded. Getting IVs is banned for a reason. It's not like doing a test before and after the IV intake erases it's prohibition. Those that wanted PED's out of the sport are criticizing Jacobs for this. Whatever you think about Floyd, his request for PED testing was spot on. Whatever you think of Manny, his refusal to test must be judged the same way as everyone else who refused. Guys like him never gave a damn about drug testing. While we are all allowed to change our opinions about the topic, it just is annoying to see guys like that advocate for something he once equated to cowardliness.
