I saw that fight and Cotto had a really bad night I think he didn't train much or take Trout seriously his body looked soft and he just looked slow and off. Did anyone else see the All Access he was all emotional and shet crying and talking about retirement, his head wasn't in that fight. I don't rate Trout as a fighter I think Cotto and whoop his arse especially now that Trout's chin been looking shaky and he's been on twerk street many a time. Then again this fight is high risk low reward and Cotto is at the tale end of his career, do u think he should go for it? It's just a bad matchup for Cotto, stylistically.Trout's height and reach advantage, and jab, is too much for Cotto.

Canelo is supposedly the better over all fighter, definitely much more hyped. Going into the May Vs Canelo fight, I expected that it would look alot like May Vs Maidana 1, with the younger, bigger, fighter pressing the action. Instead it looked like Canelo was way out of his league. Was it a simple styles make fights issue, or is Maidana a better overall inside fighter? Maybe better cutting off the ring than Canelo? Or was Floyd just lacking on the night of May Vs Maidana 1? Yes, styles make fights. Did not understand all the hype from casuals going into this fight. Everyone was excited for this fight, but anyone with basic boxing knowledge knew it was gonna be a schooling. Canelo has never been a high output, pressure fighter. He is very conservative with his punches and gasses quickly, because of muscle mass. He has never been a pressure fighter. For people to think that a fighter can just change his style suddenly, is not being realistic. Always thought the best style to beat Mayweather is a relentless pressure fighter, high volume, good power, great conditioning. Maidana lacks the conditioning part, and is also a little mentally weak, as well. Honestly, always thought prime Margarito would have beat Mayweather, bad stylistic match-up for Floyd. Now we have a guy with similar attributes: pressure fighter, high volume, power, speed, southpaw, great conditioning, footwork, angles, battle tested. Really think Pacquiao is going to beat Mayweather. Am looking forward to the fighter introductions, only time where Floyd will be outgunned by Manny's eight world titles in as many divisions, gonna be nice to see this.

Canelo sure came out different vs angulo... He came right out and let hands go, he should have done the same vs floyd.. Much like kovolev did vs hopkins... Can't compare Angulo with Mayweather. Mayweather has been in many situations where he had to dig deep, but because he was so dominant, casual fans often forget 1)Against Jesus Chavez he was facing a smaller faster, busier, yet less powerful version of Marcos Maidana....IMO the fight was close at the time of the stoppage and Mayweather had to tee off and stand his ground to get the W 2) Mosley clocked him 2 good times in the 2nd round of their fight and commenced to beating him from pillar to post from that point on 3) Jose Luis Castillo gave him the toughest fight of his career and he overcame a serious shoulder injury and hand injury to pull it out 4)Hatton was pressing the fight until, Mayweather adjusted and started to batter him. 5)He stood his ground against Maidana made him miss enough in the pocket and landed enough shots in the first fight to keep it close then boxed Maidana's ears off to close the fight 6)Corely buzzed him and he was very close to becoming the first fighter to stop the teak tough Corely in his prime....looooong before corely became a gatekeeper Okay......

Shiming was pressing the action constantly, he knocked Ruenrong down and Ruenrong was barely doing anything through the fight. I saw this fight with my friend (who hates Shiming) and before the scorecards, he was like "Damn, but someone will beat him soon anyway" (he hoped Shiming would lose). The scorecards were a real shock to many. But many people, mainly Shiming haters, are fine with Shiming getting robbed... It was horrible. Even if you don't like him, robberies are never good for the sport. No, stop. Ruenrong boxed beautifully, really surprised with how good he looked. Made Shiming look bad, and the shock was that Ruenrong wouldn't get robbed in Shiming's venue. No disrespect, but Shiming is not that good, and any step up in class would have resulted in this, or possibly worst.

I enjoy reading about Mayweather's early years. He has very good stories related to the people who brought him up in his career, or sparring sessions with top level guys from the early 90's. I know there are two sides to Mayweather, and certain people from his past, that mean a lot to him, bring out the better side of him. I love Mayweather's boxing style and how he represents an old school type of boxing that is pretty much dead now. Great technique and aesthetically pleasing boxing style. Have never really rooted for him or Pacquiao, just too easy to root for them, given their skill level. But, at the same time, I can't help but root for the underdog in the fight, Pacquiao. This is what boxing is about, rooting for the underdog, and all it takes is one punch to change a fight. Both are great fighters, and it's gonna be a hell of fight. Waiting for the fight is gonna be hell these next few days, always is with these big matchups.

I agree. I think Danny struggled alot against Herrera and Peterson, tonight. He struggled against Zab, even. Think he depends alot on his power, and is showing some one dimensionality to his game.
