Mayweather will break Cotto down by the 7th round. The first few rounds are going to be competitive because Cotto is going to bring the fight. Floyd is going to win the fight easily but Cotto's not a biyatch and Floyd will have to earn his win.
Floyd will press the fight forward late and land razor sharp straight rights until the ref stops the fight in the 7th.
TKO Mayweather 7th round.
I don't get it, Pacquiao fans call Floyd a fraud, chicken, ducker etc. when Floyd himself has stated he wants Manny Pacquiao as his next opponent. Pac fans are some of the most delusional people in the world who do not know jack about boxing.
When/if this fight happens, you'll see why Boxing is called the sweet science. There's nothing scientific about the way Pacquiao fights.
I really hope Paul Williams wins so all of the haters on this site will have about 3 million excuses to say his win wasn't credible just like the first one.
Yes. He very well could have beaten Floyd at 147. If Paul throws his jab, it's going to find Floyd because of his reach. Even if he does miss, Paul will throw another 5 punches when Floyd decides to counter. With proper ring footwork and a solid jab, Williams would outpoint Mayweather to a debatable decision win. The only chance Floyd had of beating prime Paul Williams is by knocking him out.
While we're talking facts, dont forget to mention while Floyd almost got knocked down by Shane, he did knock Manny down. But Pactards conveniently forget these facts.
Didn't Marquez knock Pac down? It doesn't even really matter who has the better chin, it matters who has the better defense which is why Floyd obviously uses all the tools he has to prevent himself from being knocked down.
If you want to debate who has the better chin ask Torrecampo, Singsurat and Marquez(who fought both fighters).
Fact-Manny Pacquiao could not last 3 rounds with Singsurat
Fact-Manny Pacquiao could not last 3 rounds with Torrecampo

I'm bumping this thread to ask every single Pac fan one question...
It's okay to ridicule Floyd about getting rocked by Shane Mosley, and then brag about Mosley not being able to touch Pac up the same way. But then why are most of you silent when Marquez touched up Pac and JMM did not do the same to Floyd?
Double standards????
Considering that Mosley/Mora was a far more entertaining fight than Pac/Mosley leads me to believe that Pac is definitely on the decline. I'm not even going to bring Floyd into it, but I think a fighter like Zab Judah could touch Pac up nicely at this point.
so you're trying to say pac/jmm III will be competitive.
Absolutely. I don't think anyone can deny that Marquez will be Pac's toughest opponent since.........Marquez.
The fight will all boil down to if JMM can avoid getting knocked down. If he can do that, his superior technical abilty could very well get him a decision win.
Oscar could bring back boxing by returning to the ring if he felt like it. No one generate as much revenue from the sport as him. So if he were to come back, casual fans would pay attention.
There's a few people I think he could still whoop at 154 like Plasterito.
I just have to give it to Sweet Pea,the names on his resume are just so far superior to Floyd's.
Resume doesn't matter, the clash of styles do. I see Floyd winning a close but ugly fight. Floyd would figure out Whitaker pretty early. Whitaker was a fantastic boxer, but I think Floyd would take away Whitaker's superior head movement and punch slipping by roughing him up in the pocket. I think the key to Floyd winning would be his underrated inside fighting game.
I can't believe no one sees Floyd's antics for what it is, an act. The quicker you people realize he says this just to f*ck with people, the more funnier his statements are. With the exception of Floyd's legal issues(which is his fault), he knows what he's doing when talking to the media.
I think Floyd's next move is going to be around when the Pac/Mosley fight happens. He'll announce his next opponent to divert any attention from Pacquiao just like he did when he fought JMM.
I know I'll be watching Pac's post fight interview closely after he whoops Shane. If this fight is going to happen, Manny will have to call Floyd's bluff instead of going into his "talk to my promoter" mantra that he always does.
Millions will be watching. It really depends on if Arum will allow Manny to speak for himself or stay quiet and get the Pac/JMM III fight done before feeding Manny to Floyd.
My own personal belief is he's aware of how Arum's been pulling the strings for Manny which adds to the already failed negotiations especially since he's been involved with Arum in the past as 'business partners'.
The fact that the contract, which included (in writing) random drug testing to make the fight happen, has not been signed by Manny is more than telling about who's avoiding the fight.
And I agree, the best way to prove it is in the ring.
However without the signatures on the contract sealing the deal, it's just more heresy and speculation.
Floyd all but said this in the interview where he goes in depth about the possibility of fighting Pacquaio. I'm at work so I can't post the link, but it's a 3 part video. He goes on about the politics of boxing and what he feels isn't right. Also he says something about Pacquiao himself saying that he wants the fight. He doesn't flat out say Bob Arum's name, but you can tell who he's talking about.
We know what Floyd's stance is when it comes to getting this fight made. He made that very clear IN THE RING after his last fight. It's only fitting that Manny gives his response the same way.
The only way we will know if this fight is anywhere close to being made is if Manny himself calls Floyd out in a way that will get everyone's attention. Manny has made it known he's willing to fight Floyd, but never brought any attention to the statement itself.
Bob Arum knows what he's doing. The same way he staged for Margarito's "random" appearance in Cotto's last fight is proof of that. So there's no reason he can't sell the possibility of Mayweather/Pacquiao the right way.
Again, we will know the stance of this fight by two deciding factors.
1. Floyd's next move that WILL happen as Pac/Mosley gets closer
2. Manny's post-fight speech
It's also funny that the same people who accuse Floyd of sabotaging the fight due to OSDT conveniently forget about Manny's 10 million per-pound penalty. Floyd isn't going to let Bob Arum run him over, that's the real reason why this fight isn't getting made imo.
Pascal looking to get some approval from Floyd. Who probably doesn't give two shts about Pascal's impromptu OST requests. If anything, I see Floyd putting a few hundred thousand on Hopkins winning.
Get Mayweather to that dinner and have him and Pacquiao do a face to face with trash talking in front of the presence of Muhammad Ali. That would actually be very good for the sport of boxing and Ali himself would probably love to see something like this go down.
I find it very funny that there's a huge problem with Floyd asking for OSDT, but it's okay for Manny's camp to ask for a drug test THE DAY OF the Margarito fight. Margarito's history is what it is, but at the end of the day Pac's camp wanted a test because they speculated that something was in Margarito's beverage. Just like Floyd speculated that Manny is on steroids.
The only way to find out the truth is to take the tests. But Manny Pacquiao's team and his fans are some of the most delusional, one sided idiots I've ever seen in my life. I pray that Floyd not only shuts him out, but leaves him looking like a fool like he did Hatton.
Running into the turnbuckle head first > 2nd round knockout
