Lol. Here is the thing that just baffles me. People let on like JMM has this great resume and it's only Pacquiao who cherry picks opponents.
So I guess this is why we'll never see whether or not JMM can beat Brandon Rios who is a way tougher challenge than fuckin Michael Katsidis, Joel Casamayor, or a fat Juan Diaz. Or how about the fact that he ducked Khan (and I don't even like Khan, but this is the truth) for a fourth title.
If JMM would've at least acknowledged Rios as a challenger, then I wouldn't be bashing him. But I don't understand why people criticize Pacquiao for fighting at catch weights, but yet JMM is getting one right now and yet people are saying he is too small to fight Pacquaio. And that's not including the fact that he got one against Mayweather.
One thing I do give JMM credit for is fighting Mayweather at the drop of a hat unlike Pacquiao did, but I think it was more of a desparation move for a money fight than actual bravery because he knew he didn't have nothing to lose.
And I really have to hear Pacquiao say he would fight Brandon Rios in the future before I gave him any benefit of the doubt about wanting to fight a prime guy like that. But I'm just bringing up this factor because at least Arum has mentioned the fight here recently. Yet JMM won't even utter the dude's name.
"I'm not even a hardcore Pacquiao fan but..." :lol1:
Why do Pacturds like to hide the fact that the only reason they dislike Marquez is because he schooled Pacquiao?
Yeah but plenty of marquez fans still hate manny for putting him on his ass so much and taking the 2 victories.
I'm guessing they're gonna have plenty of reasons to hate on pac after this one then, hell there might even be a riot

Are U even trying to imply that I supported Floyd-Marquez??because if U are,U don't know what the fvck ur talking about.I gave Floyd hell for that & I'll do the same for Pacman.because it's the same thing.
I wasn't saying u specifically did, but a lot of posters around here have been talking out of both sides of their mouths. I was just making a point. I didn't buy into jmm floyd and im not buying into this crap either.
Huh! they say he is too small to fight Pacquiao at Welterweight right? The fact is that JMM is listed at 5'7, that my friends is half inch taller than Pacquiao (5'6 1/2), then if he does has has the frame to carry the weight shame on him but no way we criticize Manny.

"And you're not even a hardcore Pacquiao fan".....fucking fanboy.:lol1:
yeah, pac , jmm and floyd are all similar in size......slap yourself please, it might wake you up from those delutions....
Why don't U go back & read that again, then come back & point out where I mentioned size buddy,I dare u.
wtf is this trash thread? JMM is a no-questions-asked ATG and all of the victories you listed are extremely legitimate victories. how can someone who is moving UP in weight to fight PACQUIAO and MAYWEATHER be a god damn cherry picker?
thread starter is a complete fool.

And JMM isn't whenever he is not fighting Pacquiao? That is the point of this thread. Hell, Barrera will probably end up fighting Rios before JMM would. And this is coming from somebody who doesn't even like Barrera.
lol you're not a big Paquiao fan......you don't like Marquez...you're a person who doesn't even like Barrera....who the fukk do you like then?
For months pac was "ducking" marquez. Now he s "cherry picking" him...my how the times change. This fight was either going to be a welter weight fight, or no fight at all. Pac is a welter now, he s already beaten jmm before, there was zero reason for pac to even consider moving down just to fight a guy he already fought twice. Moving up and down in weight isn't good for ur performance, especially when a mega fight with floyd might be on the horizon.
For the record im not a fan of this fight, but im also getting tired of all the double talk from the "fans". The same dudes who were humping floyds leg for fighting jmm at a catch weight are now crying about it. The same people saying "marquez has no business at welter weight" are also turning around and b1tching because pac isn't jumping up to 154 and taking on middle weights. Either u hate catch weights or u don't. Fighting jmm at 144 is a legit fight or it isn't. Fighting Shane either sucks or it doesn't. Be consistent

His business was at lightweight with Katsidis, who'd been waiting around for a long-ass time. Boxing fans wanted that fight, not Khan.
Now just STFU and go boil your head. You're a 1D schmucko poster who isn't deserving of another reply after this.
You're not making any sense, sir. Why would fans prefer Katsidis over Khan? Stop this nonsense about overprotecting fighters as if they need a nanny.
"Ducked Khan", when everyone was crying out for him to give Katsidis his shot?
Sir, Marquez DID ducked Khan. The fight was offered to him on a silver platter. GBP was trying to build up Khan. He resented being treated as one of Khan's sacrificial lambs. Why would you say that if you think you can beat him? Months later he was saying he's suffered from some back injury or something when asked why he avoided Khan.
Don't worry,Marquez is absolutely ripe for the picking at welterweight against Pacman. If U want to see him get clobbered then it's ur lucky fight. He has no business at welterweight, which is why team Pacman wanted the fight there.

Excuse me, sir, these are completely different cases. Beggars can't be choosers. Also, Floyd Mayweather Jr didn't treat Marquez as a special case that requires special demands. Which is strange because Floyd claims that Marquez is a better fighter than Pac.
(But, don't let me ruin the train of the discussion. You guys can ignore this post if you want. I was just clarifying something.)
Joel Casamayor was also the lineal champ when Marquez fought him dumbass, Juan Diaz was still highly rated, Katsidis was also coming the big win over Mitchel and Escobedo.
Get the **** out of here.
Marquez fought a young fighter in Juan Diaz, he fought the Lightweight champion Casamayor. He knocked them out, they have never been knocked out before that. He called out Floyd Mayweather and actually fought him. He fought a young fighter in Katsidis. He went to Indonesia to whip Chris John. He's fighting at a weight he knows he's no good at to fight Pacquiao for the 3rd time, cuz the coward ran away from him for 4 years the first time, now it took another 4 years to get Pacquiao.
What cherrypicking are you talking about? Did you wanted Marquez to fight Dangerous David Diaz at 135 and then move up so that then you can say he avoided Juan Diaz and Joel Casamayor?

BRO I will acknowledge that Marquez and his management in the past have made some crazy business decisions, but ducking wouldn't be one of them unless hes ducking the Ghost who has been his mandatory for over two years. Khan or Rios are upcoming fighter whom either were bigger or just became relevant. Rios has a better chance now then he would against a prime Marquez. Lets not get that twisted Rios is a come forward pressure little defense and Marquez is a master technician. If a pre prime Pacquaio with loads of speed and power fought him to a stand still in both fights then what makes you think Rios would do any better. I know styles makes fights but counter punching boxers usually eat up one trick ponies like Mayweather did Corrales, Hatton or Castillio II. Marquez is a warrior and Rios has yet to prove himself against anyone remotely close to elite level. Khan is still growng and protecting his chin. This weekend we will see if a past prime Judah with the help of Pernell can crack that egg.
