what has japan done for floyd?? why not to it in the mother land instead??? ALL my brothas on here, how yall feel about this?
Nobody in the motherland got 200 - 300 million to spare for some BS fight, thats all. Floyd will go where the money is, and i guess RIZIN was effectively the highest bidder
myths
I do think tyson could beat anyone in his prime if you want to call it that. I mean he was only 20 or 21 yrs old when he was at his best is that really his prime? I argue tyson never fought in his prime because of the jail time. But he was the greatest combination of power and speed that there has ever been
I'm not interested in Khan vs Mayweather, but I am interested to see if they still make the fight if Khan loses his next one in december (which he almost certainly will if he fights Devon).
Matter of fact I don't know who Khan can fight at 147 in the top 10 and win. He's gonna have to fight some nobody, but then i don't see how they could justify a Mayweather fight if he doesn't fight someone decent his next fight
it's not in St Louis, so Brook's got this
Alexander the twat has been thoroughly exposed
he's fast, but that's pretty much it
Bradley ran him outta the damn ring
Kotelnik walked him down and bested him both leading and countering
Lucas beat the hell out of him to the body and the head
Brook's not as good as these guys, but he can outpoint the twat
the twat has no defense, and he sucks under pressure
long as Brook is the aggressor all the way he'll get a UD
One thing I always say about Devon, is that nobody seems to ever account for IMPROVEMENT. He was a young fighter when he fought all of those guys and has improved greatly since then. So talkin about how he did against Bradley and Matthysse mean nothing.
Like the article says, Fury is way too hittable. He's also slow as hell, even for someone 6'9". Either klitschko KO's him rather quickly. 5 rounds at the most.
Man the HW division sux! Will we ever start to see some turnaround?
Khan is an OK fighter. Usually Pretty good action in his fights, but he won't be "cleaning out" any division. Whether it be 140 or 147. There's at least 3 or 4 guys in both divisions that beat Khan
Alexander wins
This is a good chance for Brook to come to America and make a name for himself with a good showing. That being said, I got Alexander by UD. People aren't giving Devon credit for the amount of improvement he has made in the past year or so. I think he can beat anyone at 147 beside Mayweather of course
I don't mind too much that this fight is happening (probably because I want to see Khan get his azz whipped)
But I do mind the fact that Khan gets a huge payday out of this. Lets face it, everyone wants to fight Floyd because its a career high payday, it's not about fighting or beating the best.
Khan deserves maybe 1 or 2 million for this fight, nothing more unless he wins. That's how they should draw up the contract.
Khan said he told GBP to get him "anyone" Lol!!! yeah right. If that's the case then if he beats Collazo maybe Khan can get with Thurman on Floyds next undercard. Khan wins those two fights, I say give him a shot
I agree, with Khan, I don't think Brook wants any part of Porter, especially in America. This is good though, they should have Khan and Porter fight and the winner gets to fight Floyd next May
khan thought this was a walk in the park he was wrong
It was a walk in the park; for an A level fighter. Fact is, Khan is B level and Algeri is C+ at best. Algeri has more heart than Khan so that made for a closer fight than it should have been. Amir better hope he gets that Mayweather fight. Cause if he doesn't, he's gettin his a__ whipped if his next opponent is any better than algeri (although it prob won't be)
Brook beating Rios won't prove sh__ . Nor will it move him any closer to a Mayweather fight. Brook needs to fight Keith Thurman, Tim Bradley, Maidana or even Broner.
Rios is just a come forward punching bag. Brook beating Rios won't give him anymore popularity or credentials (not in my eyes anyway), it will just decrease Rios' popularity after another loss
Why is it that some fighters don't give a damn about getting a belt and then you have some like Maidana seem ready to jump for a chance to get a title shot (as opposed to fighting a fight where he might make more money)? Seems weird to me like there are some other perks that go along with having belt.
Doubt this fight happens. Chavez can't even make 168 anyway, so WBC and Jacks camp shouldn't even have gotten into negotiations with him in the first place
this kid thinks he's better than hatton? HA! he's got a long way to go!
He does have a long way to go.
But he is better than Hatton. Hatton was vastly overrated and won most of his fights just being tougher than the other guy. When he fought guys with some boxing skill, he looked terrible.
Rios' boxing skills are a little better and his chin is also prob a little better than Hatton.
If you may have won only 7 rounds in your own words Jnr, then 1 less and it's a draw.
So how is that not close, you bumbling idiot?
It was a 10 rd fight. That would have made it 7 to 3
Right now everything Oscar says is just lip service. Because after ththis Devon Alexander card and then the Canelo card, i don't sh__ happening. Get an event for September or October and then we'll see if you are doing whats best for boxing fans
It would be an embarrassing fight. There's no reason to believe Khan has a shot, or deserves one at this point. It would be frustrating low for boxing if that fight gets signed. With so many better, more deserving, and even undefeated fighters, why Khan..., why? Khan needs to win some fights before he even considers opening his mouth about fighting Floyd. Ridiculous.
Its all about money homie. There aren't many fighters that have the following like Khan (probably has something to do with the lack of elite fighters to come from Europe over the years).
Gotta blame Golden Boy for this one. All they want to do is make the biggest money fights all the time. Now that Canelo is outta the way, no one else can bring more money to the table at this point than Khan.
I say just let em fight and get it over with. After he whips Khan we can move on to maybe a better opponent for Floyd
What kind of offer did he expect after he came out like a b___ against Mayweather, another $3 million payday? He should be thankful Golden Boy was gonna even put him in a main event.
You already got your monetary handout once. Earn ya way back up Ghost.
Work your way up Khan
As far as I'm concerned Khan has to get in line to get a title shot at Garcia. Gettin knocked out like that moves you back down a few spots. Let me see you beat Ajose, Rios, Peterson, Alvarado or someone like that before we start talking title shot. Geez!
I like the way Vanes talks sh__. He says he'll fight anyone, I like that. His only problem was the weak showing him and Lara put on in their fight.
But know one ever calls him out on it. He said he would give his purse if Canelo went 12 with him, "They should jump all over that!" Call his bluff put it in the contract!
Stick a fork in him, he's well done.
Berto is just not a smart fighter. After he messed up his shoulder he just stood in front of Soto Karass and traded. How stupid is can you get? (One arm against two?) He should have started moving and using the the jab and just try to win each round on points. He had plenty time to figure this out because he hurt his shoulder in like the 3rd or 4th round.
Also doesn't say much for his corner, I think they should take some blame for his underachieving career as well.
Arum wAs getting this Mexican midget a 1 mill per fight to lace up against bums... s soon arum and HBO ask him to fight gamboa and for more than enough $, this dude starts crying, it's ridiculous.
How the hell is he complaining? Golden boy and Showtime aren't going to pay him that.
That's BS he wasn't making a million per fight. Where are you getting that from?
Man this is getting sad, now Brook team wants to fight Pacquiao?
Khan refuses to fight Brook, Brooks team had the opportunity to fight Pacquiao and Bradley but rejected both fights a few years ago.
But will now fight washed up, worn out Pacquiao, who is coming off a shoulder injury.
At least Khan is seeking out Mayweather, while Brook wants a washed up faded injured legend past his best.
Dang u seem pretty hard to please. I would much rather see Brook fight Pacquiao than sorry a__ Rios
