its been 3 weeks and you're still thinking about the PPV numbers for the Pac/Mosley fight ...
SMH - I'll never understand why some people care so much about PPV numbers so much.
so lemme get this straight .... manny would let a random sparring partner inject him with steroids inside the wildcard gym's dressing room where anyone can walk in.
rrrriiighhhttt.
floyd linking this via twitter and facebook is just another dagger they'll use in court against him for spreading baseless accusations ... he must really want this lawsuit to go to trial and pay manny that money.
seriously though, if it was you, would you be doing what floyd is doing? if you're being sued by someone for trying to ruin their reputation/livelihood, would you then link a highly suspicious internet blog/article? this kid can't get out of his own way.
smh.
Again, This is not an experiment Stop acting like this has not been done to tons of athletes. Great and better athletes like Bolt, Kobe, Lebron, Armstrong, Federer, Williams Sisters, Phelps, etc... have taken it and can handle it. Mayweather, Mosley, and Pac are no different.
The thing that really takes the piss out of me is that Mayweather is acting like he is cleaning up the sport. C'mon mate, he was trying to get the upper hand in the Pacquiao negotiations and it didn't work out. Now he has to continue the request for additional testing for every one of his future fights from now on or he'll look like a hypocrite.
If the boxing commission demanded random blood testing then so be it, it would never have gotten this out of control and we would be seeing Mayweather vs Pacquiao
What if Nadal accused Federer of being on steroids because he keeps winning grand slams and refused to play him in championships until additional blood testing happened.
Or if Brady accused Manning of being on steroids before the SuperBowl ... the comparisons can go on and on.
Athletes compete ... commissions make the rules.
End of story. Game Over. Restart.
They take a fukking pint of blood or more when donating dude. Dont compare that to two 2x3ml tubes half full of blood..
Not to mention pacquiao took a shit load of bload 19 days before the clottey fight, and he showed no signs of having been affected at all.
another significant point is that both mayweather and mosley gave blood 3 times in 10 days, at least that's what I thought I heard on 24/7
every fighter trains differently and their bodies recharge differently, one main point was that manny didn't want unlimited blood tests, he was worried it might affect his training hence the specific number of times blood would be drawn and unlimited urine.
i thought that maybe 24/7 would show the additional testing to seem "insignificant" but after seeing Saturdays episode, it was actually the opposite. I can understand why a fighter wouldn't want to go through that especially since its not even sanctioned by the governing boxing commission.
Manny has never been ashamed of where he grew up and has said that he'll remain in General Santos. That's why he has 40 bodyguards with attack rifles.
The region where he lives is very very dangerous. There are muslim guerillas that use kidnapping and extortion as their main source of income for their war.
Manny can easily live in Manila or even LA. Him staying in the General Santos is the equivalent of someone from Compton making $100million and not moving to a better neighborhood.
It doesn't change the fact that Oscar was severely drained. The fight should not have been initiated in the first place.
Oscar was literally so drained that he had I.V. marks from trying to rehydrate.Along with Freddie Roach's stipulation that on fight night he could not weigh a certain amount, it lead to a horrible night.
Do you think that it was the responsible thing to take a fight against someone this bad?Do you think the fight should have been made in the first place?
BTW-it is much easier to put on weight and be effective than it is to drain yourself...
The poor pattern here is that Manny and Co. continued this pattern with fights they knew that the opponents would have troubles making weight.Maybe one day Manny will fight the best out there without any advantages and he will quit pretending he is the "smaller" guy in a similar weight division...
it was oscar f'ing dela hoya ... of course manny would take the fight, it was going to be his biggest purse to date and exposure to different level of fans
it seems like some people cannot separate one thing from another.
did oscar call out manny at 147, yes
did oscar drain himself to make that weight, yes
did oscar make his bed and then have to lie in it, yes.
oscar didn't rehydrate properly that was his fault, he has all these people working for him (nutritionist, trainer, etc) and no one knew how to hydrate him properly? sounds like someone isn't doing their job ...
can someone confirm if there is actual documentation that manny's opponents are limited in how much they can rehydrate? substantial links only please.
so it does nothing 3 times in ten days. what is your point? say it fcked up 3 training days, even though it doesnt, isnt that worth knowing if your opponent is cheating?
if you were to apply that to a full month (hypothetically) 30 days would have 9 days of blood being drawn. you can argue that 1/3 of your training time giving blood samples does affect how you are overall prepared for a fight.
Very hard to compare Boxings hundreds of commissions to other sports. In Boxing the boxers have more control over themselves. And we all know Mayweather is not doing this to clean up the sport, but in a roundabout way its doing just that.
I thought that was what you were trying to do by listing all those athletes from those various sports?
Boxers have just as much control over themselves as tennis, golf, football players do. Boxers are just in a much much more violent profession. All of them however all have ruling bodies that set the rules that they all must adhere to.
That being said, there should be stricter tests BUT again the various boxing commissions needs to come together then to unify the rules.
We know, continue on with the excuses. :stupid:
relax i'm not trying to start anything both fighters agreed to all that testing.
3 times in 10 days is not an excuse, it's fact.
the point i was trying to make was that i found it interesting that the random blood testing really is that frequent. everything up until saturday was heresay, no one knew how often it was going to be.
all the arguments that it was only going to be a 'teaspoon' and that it wasn't going to be an everyday thing are being help up to the light.
this is just the case of arum jewing donaire with some ridiculous injury extension loop hole.
why is it so ridiculous? did he not injure his hands so that he couldn't fight? that means time on his contract gets extended on the back end.
all contracts have clauses ... his contract stipulated that any downtime from injuries or suspensions means his contract is extended that same amount of time on the back end.
he's just trying to get away from TR but what'll end up happening is now TR will gets a cut of all his fights for the next year or two, the same way that GBP get a cut from Manny's fights.
Manny Pacquiao had a little formal education. At a very young age, he dropped out of school to help her mother by selling bread and other merchandise to support his mother and siblings. Last year, Manny took and passed the Accreditation and Equivalency Test (A&E) administered by the Department of Education. He received his High School Diploma from Sec. Jesli Lapuz, the Philippines Secretary of Education.
Right after obtaining his High School Diploma, he immediately took the college entrance examination from Notre Dame College in Mindanao where he is now enrolled, taking up business administration.

A school education for any grade in the Philippines is not a privilege, you have to PAY to go to school.

mayweather will beat mosley by close decision
pacquiao will beat clottey by stoppage
mayweather/pacquiao will not happen again because of something stupid
pacquiao will fight mosley at the end of the year and will win by UD
pacquiao retires. mayweather retires.
:D
the only retard here are u.
i didnt defend the TS, just was responding to some floyd haters.
why do all pactards have to attack and insult every1, just because someone doesnt suck their heroes little penis?
u guys are even defending his choice to duck the bloodtest, because of pride, someone with pride doesnt cheat on his wife lol.
at least floyd is not a double faced midget, who needs to juice to play with the big boys.
AND NOW we've finally come full circle back to random blood tests and adultery.
very funny thread, a lot of comedy all around.
Tecate does this for big fights even for Pacquiao vs De La Hoya.
My .02 is that this fight also has a heavy Hispanic-American undercard so it just gives them more incentive to promote.
Pac doesn't have a history of cherrypicking fighter who suit his style?
What fights are you referring to?
Diaz @ 135 had Manny going up in weight
OLDH @ 147 had him going up 2 weight classes and he was the underdog for this fight.
Hatton @ 140 had him fighting an undefeated Hatton at this weight. Odds were even. Is it his fault that the guys on top seem to "fit" his fighting style? Could it also be that his right hand has been getting better and better?
Cotto @ 145, sucks that it was at a catchweight but guess what ... Cotto agreed to it. Cotto is considered one of the top WW and had more to offer on the PPV level than Mosley, who else was going to bring him a bigger fight? Floyd was retired.
Clottey @147, who else would Manny fight after the Floyd talks went up in flames? Mosley was locked in with Berto.
Pac-Clottey will be the more exciting fight come fight night.
I'm not talking about promotions, May-Mosley will build up their fight like no other but come fight night. I don't see Mayweather going "Toe to Toe", you'll see his shoulder roll and Mosley will have to engage all night - not exciting.
Pac and Clottey won't be running anywhere except towards each other.
some of the posts on this thread are really disgusting.
makes me feel sorry for any girls that find themselves drunk around some of you guys. i guess none of you guys ever got drunk when you were a teenager, you all waited till you were 21 to consume alcohol.
good thing you guys were lucky enough to wake up and not find yourself gang raped.
1. its not OK to have any type of sex with a 15 year old
2. its definitely not OK to have sex with a drunk 15 year old
3. its really not OK to have sex with a passed out, drunk 15 year old.
i think he's should have gotten 20 not 2 years, IMO.
you ever talk to a kid who got raped by an adult, be thankful you never have.
If Parents do the raising part right theres no reason for the kid to sneak out. So Morel is guilty for the girl sneaking out also? If she went to a bar, lied about her age etc... has nothing to do with him... she didnt have a good education and didnt learn how women are supposed to behave etc
YEAH! Let's blame everything on the 15 year old girl.
Its not his fault at all for taking advantage of a drunk girl!
She got drunk and got raped so therefore she must have horrible parents, no education and know nothing about being a woman (even though she's only 15)
:****you:
next time don't talk if you don't know.
makes you look dumb as hell.
All around nice beginning, middle and end.
Couldn't have explained it better myself.
:fing02:
Williams is too tall and his reach pretty much means this fight will never get made.
It would be a monster fight though. Neither one of them would get an early KO.
- Mayweather has accused Pacquiao of being on steroids without any proof.
- Insists on blood tests when they're not required by the Nev. commission and then when Manny refuses to jump through hoops, says that he's the one that didn't want the fight. If Floyd wanted that $30 million he should've just agreed to the rules and regulations that has been put forth for every other fight.
- Is fighting Mosley which is ballsy but it took a natural disaster for it to happen and he's jumping around acting like he meant to fight him all along, c'mon now!
those 3 for starters.
I'll give him props IF he beats Mosley and then continues to fight legitimate welterweights, he came out of retirement to fight worthwhile opponents right, not Malinaggi or Hatton?
if mayweather was thinking about matt hatton after fighting marquez then why would paulie be such a stretch for manny? its an easy fight for some campaign money ...
its funny that people are laughing at top rank's pick of paulie for manny after all the wars that he's fought the last 2 years. everyone is expecting manny's fight to be a superfight - every. single. time.
mayweather comes out of retirement to fight a bloated marquez and then there's talk that he wanted to fight hatton next... are you kidding?! LMAO.
who's the P4P fighter here?
I can already see Arum working on a Cotto/Margarito 2 for this night.
Probably not going to happen because aside from the obvious, it would be a quick turnaround for Cotto who got rocked in Nov. But with Cotto burying the hatchet with his uncle, if Arum could somehow convince him to fight Margarito ... I don't know anyone who wouldn't buy this fight.
I don't think anyone is really a huge fan or promoters, myself included.
They're there to get a cut of the money and to sell their fighters, that's all. Arum is just another slick promoter trying to get the best fight for his guy. If not him then another slimeball will just slide into this spot. Deal with it. If it were me and I was putting my life on the line by stepping into that ring, I would want the slickest MotherF'er on the planet getting me as much money as possible.
Flomos are trying to say this fight is dead and that its all Pac's fault and blah, blah, blah. What they really don't want to accept is that Manny has already agreed to have his blood drawn right after the fight, IMO that should squash any ideas that he's trying to hide anything.
A fighter on HGH or PED would NEVER have blood drawn the same day as the fight ... so in conclusion - All you Flomo's can suck it and suck it hard.
this was a really really dumb move on Donaire's part.
unless he's willing to let TR promote his next few fights and basically bend over ... he'll be in boxing limbo until his contract expires.
what a waste of time.
