WOW...I've heard it all...PAC and Ali in the same sentence...Listen folks...Pac is a really good acurate powerful puncher for a small fighter...but Great...Let alone ATG...Are you kidding me...Let's take a look at some ATG's
Post 1980...I really don't need to go back that far.
Duran, SRL, Hearns, JCC, Sweet Pea would all beat the living daylights out of Pacman...Let alone a live ODLH at 147.
Pac cannot be called the greatest fighter of any era for two reasons:
1: He doesn't have the resume- you cannot compare guys like Morales to the Foremans and Listons of the world
2: He dosen't have the skills- Pac until recently was a one handed fighter, he doesnt have the skill set of a lot of the old guys. Guys who could fight going forwards and backwards, shoulder roll, feint, had a wider range of punches etc.
I can compare the Barreras, Morales and the JMMs and Hattons, and DLH with foreman and listons of this world. Even Ali said Foreman was like a mummy.
Ali was only a great long range fighter but what he did he did very well, just like Pac. So how come Ali can be called the greatest but pac cant be.
Pac is doing things very well that his punches lands on the chins of his opponents and they invariable go down after eating too many of the punches. Those guys that do the shoulder roles and feints sound like PBF. But did they beat anyone and do it in the ring. Any credit pac has got is by who he beat and how impressivley he beat them.
Neither Paulie or Mayweather have said that Pac is the greatest boxer that has ever lived. A lot of boxers have been accused of roids, that doesn't mean they are great boxers. Look at Evander Holyfield he was accused of roids in the early 90's, his heavyweight career is hardly legendary.
I swear Paul said if Pac beats Cotto, he MUST be the greatest boxer who ever lived!
Evander is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time and he was a cruiserweight that is why was accused of being on roids, though not on Pacs level so your comparison is hardly impressive or relevant.
As a general rule when a fighter moves up the weight classes two things happen:
1: Their ko ratio drops as the bigger guys can take their punchers
2: A fighter becomes slower as he carries the extra mass.
According to Mayweather sr, Paulie and who ever else, these thing haven't happened to Pac, so they believe there has to be a reason for them.

PACQUIAO HAVE THE SKILL TO BEAT ALL THIS FIGHTER WHO GOT THOSE SKILLS LOL:bottle:
So ability wise Pac is the greatest, because he carried his power up the weights even though most of pacs opponents talk about his speed and not seeing his fast punches so were knocked out. So its not so much power but the type of punches pac is throwing. His boxing ability in genral has improved with Roach.
Pac probably has got slower as hes moved up. But so have his opponents who were big already. But he is using his speed more intelligently.
But Paul already said Pac is the greatest boxer who ever lived.
Hardly a valid criteria for saying a fighter is the greatest.
I dont see why its OK for Paul Maligaggi and PBF to say Pac is the greatest boxer who ever lived, buts its not OK for Pactards to say it.
Not that im a pactard by the way. Its just that flomos are getting on my nerves and i side with the more rational fans and boxer of course.

Ive heard all your excuses all before. So why all the accusations of roids you havent answered yet? You Pac haters dismiss what Pac has achieved, so why accuse him of roids when he beat shit opponents is basically what im getting at?
Again, full of irony Pac haters. Now they are saying Pac hasnt achieved anything really great.
Jealousy of the great things pac has achieved. I already know.
Ive already answered that question in my previous post. In fact all you have to do is read any of Paulies interviews on the subject.
Hardly a Pac hater, I have never trashed him on this forum.
You are going to have to do a lot better than dlh, Hatton and Cotto to say that a fighter is the greatest of any era. None of those guys are atgs so how can beating them make Pac a atg? How long have you been watching boxing for anyway?
Is this the same Cotto who almost got koed Torres and Corley at 140. Who got a gift against Clottey. Who fights with his elbows out, gloves by his ears and head tilted forwards, which makes his susceptible to body shots and uppercuts. Cotto for your information is not a ATG maybe a HOFer. He has clearly been on the slide since taking beatings from Mosely, Torres, Clottely and Margarito, who more than likely had plaster in his wraps.
Hatton cannot fight, his best win is over a past prime Kosta. A fight in which Hatton low blowed, rabbit punched, elbowed, clinched and headbutted Kosta with the ref turning a blind eye to it. Roach himself said that Hatton was on the slide after the Mayweather fight.
DLH was past prime and weight drained, just imagine trying to make a weight you haven't been for 10 years. When was the last time DLH won a meaningful fight anyway?
Your comments on Ali show just have little you know about boxing. So I wont comment on them.
What things are Pac doing, that know one else has done before? He basically has two punches, the straight left hand and now a right hook.

The bold bit is rubbish. He beats Cotto like no other WW ever did and that is why Cotto had such a fearsome reputation. And the way in which he beat Hatton and DLH. I didnt see Ali beat Frazier that way.
Ali was only a long range fighter, and wasnt a great in close fighter so what you say fails again. Pac is doing things no one has been able to ability wise, so you arre trying to be a salesman but failing.
Pac isnt a one hand fighter now though is he? He is improving along the way. He didnt have an amatuer career so he is work in progress.

Again, you say that. But how come Pac is accused of roids then even before he turned down PBFs requests of tests? What has manny done that is SO IMPRESSIVE that he is accused of drugs?
Pac is someone who can be called the greatest of any era. Boxers of those days had no choice to have that many fights. Thats how it was back then.

Dude you cannot compare boxers of today with the old skool boxers like Moore, Ezzard Charles and Ray Robinson who had around 200 fights. Or like guys like Ali who fought the same top opponents repeatedly.

In fact, yes Pac must be recongised as the greatest boxer who ever lived, until he fails a drugs tests.
But as of now, Pac is the greatest boxer who ever lived.

Well he hasn't had as many fights as SRR. But what Pac has done in the fights hes had is more impressive than anything SRR did.
What fights would you say were Pac's best wins?
Pacquiao's the bext boxer in our era.
Your era is around 2003 when you started to watch boxing. Like most of you fake "boxing fans" :tragedy:
Correction: Your era probably started after Pacquiao beat Hatton...
