This seems to happen everytime. He claims that they PPV # were great, it takes forever to get them out and then they are lower than he claimed. It's getting old.
It has been reported in a fan interview of Dan Rafael that industry speculation of Pacquiao-Mosley is settling in at 1.6 million ppv buys. A massive success but according to his sources CBS is reluctant to release the official numbers as it was criticised for badly promoting the buildup to this fight and not coming close to the original 2 million buys they thought they would bring in with Showtime compared to HBO.
Arum/Top Rank does not release the official numbers, the cable/satellite companies do. Real question is when will they, not when will Arum.
So why did he report 1.3 million+. Bob is evil for boxing. I wonder when Manny's slave contract expires?
its been 3 weeks and you're still thinking about the PPV numbers for the Pac/Mosley fight ...
SMH - I'll never understand why some people care so much about PPV numbers so much.
Agreed.. some dudes just waiting for a reason to whine and bitch like females on this site.
They actually kept the PPV running days after the fight (anyone know if they finally stopped?) and are adding internet PPV's to the total as well. Even then, they're still "estimating". In other words, it bombed. Why else are they "considering" HBO for Manny's next PPV :lol1:
You might be on to something.

His excuse was Showtime never done anything lie that and it will take a while for it to be fully counted.
+ and that the numbers won't be revealed until months from now. Smh.

Yeah I don't recall a time when Top Rank was quick to release numbers. I think that's more of a GBP thing.
With that said, I would rather not hear anything from Bob and just wait till the cable/sat companies release them so we know their 100% legit.

I personally think he is lying about it being 1.3+mil. If is good for boxing but I def think he is lying.
Funny thing is everybody is reporting what he said as fact.
