Margarito is the epitome of what boxing should be. Heart, courage, incredible drive, and the warrior spirit. He was a monster in his prime and Floyd ducked him.
A cheat and a liar is what boxing should be?
God pity the sport.
Every sport has rules and every sport has cardinal/unbreakable rules. You don't bunt in the bottom of the 9th down by 6 runs to break up a no hitter or purposely throw a 98 mph fastball into someone's skull. You don't spear your opponent in the head after the whistle. You don't gouge the eyes. You don't hit an opponent in the back of the head with your stick. You don't go into the stands to fight a fan.
And you don't load your gloves. You don't plaster your wraps or take out the padding. Billy Collins forever is the poster child of what can happen when someone does. It is one of the most sacrosanct rules in boxing and Margarcheato knowingly broke it. He is, and will always be, primarily remembered for being a cheating bum.
**** that. Shane Mosley is 10x the cheater that Margarito is.
i only give cotto a puncher's chance. cotto is not going to outwork, outbox, outmuscle, outanything sergio. i think it's crazy a lot of people are picking cotto to win on twitter and on instagram. but then again, they're most likely just casuals who DKSAB.
casuals hmm interesting...
Fury vs. Wilder II was full of dirty tactics.
Headlocks, rabbit punches, holding and hitting, shoving, open-hand slaps, tripping, etc.
I paid for a boxing match, not WWE. I don't even know if I wanna buy Fury vs. Wilder III because Wilder will probably come in angry with elbows and headbutts this time, and it will end in DQ.
All I see is excuses. Fury had a point taken off so stop whining. Wilder losing must have really affected you.

Knocked out in 2 by Ortiz, do people really not see the difference in class between Ortiz and these guys like Parker-Whyte?
Ortiz deserves a Wilder rematch or a shot at Joshua.
how can you honestly say calzaghe won if you watch the fight closely? yea he threw a bunch of punches that missed but if you look closely he was getting countered over and over again. stop getting fooled by all the calzaghe flair. appearing to do something is not the same as actually doing it. hopkins landed the cleaner punches and made calzaghe miss. why would you lose a fight if you do that? "faking low blows" isn't a scoring criteria remember.
here's actual evidence that calzaghe lost but watch out you might have to open your eyes and use your brain for once instead of being hypnotized by the windmill slap furries.
after watching this there is no possible way you can say calzaghe deserved to win. the judges were fooled by ineffective aggression and a pro calzaghe crowd that went crazy every time he threw. calzaghe knows he lost that fight. look at enzo in the corner, look at joe's face during the decision, look at his remarks after the fight about never fighting hopkins again.
I re-watched this fight for this first time in years and I agree with you that Hopkins won. I scored it 115-112 and gave Hopkins rounds 1,2,3,4,6,7,10. Calzaghe landed more punches but Hopkins was landing the harder cleaner punchers for most of the fight. The best part was at the end of round 7 when Joe came in with a flurry of his girly slap punches and Bernard clocked him with a hard counter right hand. Calzaghe won the compubox numbers but not the fight.
well he really didn't. i mean like literally he wasn't landing and was hitting air or gloves. also i think that was round 8. a round where nothing much happened then hopkins almost knocks calzaghe down but i guess thats a calzaghe round to some people? it was the perfect example of quality vs non quantity(since he wasnt really landing)
I mean you could say that he technically landed more punches, (because a grazing slap is still counted as a landed blow) but this fight more than any is proof that using compubox to argue who won is complete bull****.
Lomachenko would win by a wide decision. I wish Valero had lived so that Pacquiao would have beaten him up and put an end to the myth of Valero as some kind of elite fighter.
Is this a serious question??? Canelo's win was far more impressive...wtf is going on today?
You would think that but there are actually people voting for Lomachenko's win in the poll.:rofl:
Kovalev didn't come to win, he just came for the paycheck. Rigo saw how good Loma was and just quit then.
So he knew Canelo was too good for him and didn't bother to try? Wow. Ultimate show of respect right there. And to a former light middleweight too.
yep. im 1 on that list. like I said as soon as contract was signed by Canelo and Kova. I said asap Kova is losing big time this one. Nelo aint taking any risks with Kovalev. I would of get surprised if hesigned with Bivol or Beterbiev, thats a different story. so only silly ones would pick Canelo option #1 in this poll.
Rigo will dominate, Rigo will do schooling on Loma.. we all remember that. why you try to forget about it though?
Lomachenko beat a guy who was moving up 2 weight classes. Canelo moved up 2 weight classes to face Kovalev. Lomachenko took no risks fighting Rigondeaux. He was about to move up to 135 anyway before that fight.
People love to re-write history so much.
I agree. Kovalev was considered a top 5 LHW by everybody before he fought Canelo. He dominated Alvarez and KO'd Yarde with a jab. Now they say he was shot. Its just more excuses from people who won't give Canelo any credit.
Canelo moving up 2 divisions to beat Kovalev was one of the biggest wins of the last decade. There are a lot of fighters who won't even face the best guys in their own weight class let alone 2 weight divisions above. Thats why Canelo is P4P #1.
