listening to him after the 2nd diaz fight made me mad, hes so disrespectful towards hattons skills, well im sorry paulie you got your ass beat deal with it, i hate people talking shit after they got smashed saying he'll beat hatton easy and all, bad training or not he knew what to do and he couldn't deal with ricky. Now hes being disrespecful to hattons punching power, the irony. Not only does he himself punch like a girl, he got wobbled a couple of times in that fight, what does that say about him. I hope amir embarrasses him, what will the next excuse be.
were the tests not on the table from the start? im sure i read it at the time whenbob said the deal was agreed, then they learnt more about what they wanted them to do, and started to kick up a fuss, not the other way round, people think floyd just brought it up last minute, when im sure iv heard oscar say it was on the table from the start. all these quotes refer to floyd changing the agreement. Or am i just wrong?
Most likely but not exactly, it could exceed all reasonable expectations. I doubt it does that because the fight is less thena month off and I have yet to see any sort of commercial on TV for it or any real promotion but still it could even if it is unlikely.
yea imagine they went even or did better that shock the world, mays words would back fire right there.
valero is a poor mans version of manny pacman but with awful defense compared to pac and less experience
valero only has the power edge
there is no way valero is more powerful than pac, just imagine what pac would've done to demarco, c'mon. Anyway i think its unfair comparing them at the minute, there at different weights, and in different stages of their development processes, i think pac will be retired by the time valero improves enough to beat pac, maybe never will, but doesnt mean they shouldn't fight if valero proves himself at the higher weight classes, it would be explosive while it lasts.
Exactly.
The reporter is obviously alluding to the possibility that Mayweather was for some reason afraid of Pacquiao but that's such a ridiculous assumption. For anyone who's followed Mayweather since his return from retirement with a clear head and no pre-formed conclusions it's fairly clear he wants to fight Pacquiao.
Why did Mayweather ask for drug testing then? Err because he suspected Pacquiao has on steroids. The reason he suspected him doesn't matter and if Pacquiao had nothing to hide those tests would have been a trivial formality and a complete non-factor that might've had two or three threads on NSB dedicated towards it at most.
Also the reporter is basing this conclusion that Mayweather was afraid of Pacquiao on the assumption that Mayweather, being the evil genius and mastermind plotter that he is, predicted Pacquiao would balk and flush $25m down the toilet over the simple request for more drug testing. Which, even as stupid a conclusion as it is, also suggests Pacquiao is in fact guilty.
Ask yourself how could Mayweather possibly know Pacquiao would run a mile at the mention of random blood testing? The only reasonable guesses are that either he knew Pacquiao was juicing and would refuse testing for that reason.....or that he knew Pacquiao was ultra superstitious and afraid of needles and would refuse testing for that reason ().
If he was really afraid of Pacquiao why not center your getaway plan around something that is a bit more secure, like demanding a 60-40 split or something? Instead of immediately conceding to a 50-50 split even though it could easily be argued that he is the bigger PPV draw. Why would you formulate a plan that relies on something as highly improbable as a supposedly clean athlete throwing a hissy fit over extra PED testing? It makes no sense.
Excatly.
You my son are a genuis. You need to sig this quote.
Hahaha pac knew that floyd idolize him. Who wouldn't be a fan of a fighter of the decade and the only boxer to get a 7belt in a 7 weight division.
ring mag isn't really a belt though is it, so its really 5.
You are mentally ill.
PACQUIAO s last PPV sold 500 K more then FLOYD s last PPV.
PACQUIAO showed that he is bigger PPV attraction then FLOYD.
PACQUIAO deserve at least 60% of purse or even more.
But we all know that POOPWAEATHER will find the way to back out again of fight with PACQUIAO.
try 0.2 mil not 0.5, you fail, big time get your facts right before producing them as fact.
I thought the same thing. He was fighting really technical and moving slow, but throwing fast hands. I said I can see him being outboxed. He also misses a to, very inaccurate. McCloskey and Judah made him miss a lot, and haters say Judah is not slick but damn...if Judah is not slick and Khan was missing like that, watch when he fights a slick fighter.
Khan's power and speed does a lot of damage when he does land though.
its easy to be slick when your not throwing any punches
61/284 21%.
Very inaccurate boxer IMO against a "non-slick" boxer.
Mayweather, in a 12 round fight which tends to bring your percentage even lower, against a 5 years younger, fresher Judah:
188/404 47%
Cotto against Judah 4 years ago: 292/683 43%. But Judah also landed the most punches out of all of these fighters on Cotto. Judah on Cotto 132/459 29%.
Clottey on Judah: 122/393 31%
So:
Mayweather: 46%
Cotto: 43%
Clottey: 31%
Khan: 21% on a 33 year old Judah.
Remember, the fewer the rounds, usually the higher your percentage would be. Like Pacquiao on Hatton, only 2 rounds, Pacquiao landed something like close to 60%.
Khan is really inaccurate, I imagine his numbers against McCloskey were even worse.
how many did judah land on khan compared to maywweather and cotto then?
because it will allow him to get close up to see mayweather fight so it will benefit him when he fights pacman
i think he pretty much knows mayweather inside out by now
omg people act like hatton not having to cut hundred pounds to make weight makes him a better fighter, only reason he does better at 140 is can push them people round whereas 147 he cant therefore hes ineffective. And floyds not a big welter he came from a smaller weight class also. You really think a 140 version of hatton beats 147 version of hatton?
Peterson was given a chance to fight Khan in May and his team turned down the fight, Believe Peterson and Khan will be a waste of a fight since its Khans last fight at 140lbs and there are more exciting fights out there.
If Peterson fought Khan, Peterson would fight like Mosley, He will behave like a braggart about how he is going to stop Khan and wont be able to keep his big lips shut, Come fight night Peterson will turn up throw one lazy jab a round loose every single round to Khan and cash out.
Peterson needs Khan not the other way around, Peterson was sleeping on the streets of Washington, Thats not Khans fault. Peterson needs to forget this notion that Khan owes Peterson a living and handout. The kind of message Peterson is trying to put across is something like "Im young and African American, So the world and Amir Khan owes me a living and handout".
Who is Peterson? He is an ESPN fighter that has never won a world title in his life, Lost to Bradley, Got a gift decision against Ortiz. It takes Peterson about 8 rounds to get into the fight by which point he will already have lost on the scorecards.
Lets get Maidana -Guererro winner or Morales instead, Khan should not fight another African American with a low work rate that will do nothing for his career or for experience. If Peterson gets the fight and I hope he doesnt because it will be boring to watch Peterson struggle to throw one lazy jab, Peterson must be given a total slave deal, No PPV split, Just the minimum purse that he is entitled to as a mandatory challenger, Peterson must not get one extra cent of Khans money. Peterson wont have to live on the streets anymore thanks to Khan if the fight happens.
is that not like 55-45 or something am sure he'll be happy with that alright.
and Europeans and Mexicans dont go to Soccer(Biggest sport in world), Hockey,Euroball,Cricket,Rugby,Swimming,Athletics?
That excuse is weak and has no merrit.
"hurr we r weak cuz deyz goings to play NBA"
Well guess what, so is every other country. I know sports coverage in USA SUCKS so you dont see any sports that dont involve americans but there are ALOT of sports in the world, it doesnt revolve around USA.
Soccer, Swimming, Gymnastics, Wresteling, Racing, Handball, Rugby, Basketball (tons of leagues in EU/Asia), NHL/KHL, Baseball(huge in latin countries),Track and Field, Water Polo, Kickboxing (k1), Cricket, Cycling, etc.
So stop making that excuse, HAS NO MERIT.
very good point actually
Its how well you recover from getting knocked down or stunned. ANYONE can be Knocked Down, its how well you recover from it.
also, if you get hit with a clean shot and start looking dazed then you dont have a great chin.
Its hard to judge with Heavyweights about their chins because HW is a division where 1 punch even from a bum can KO someone with a granite chin because of the power that the heavyweights produce.
Its alot easier to judge a midgets chin tho since they punch way softer.
i get the logic but surely if they themselves are bigger they can hold a better shot
Getting knocked down is ok, as long as you aren't hurt (Marquez has an excellent chin). I guess having a good chin is being able to take a good punch without it affecting your neurological health lol. You should not have wobbly legs or have coordination issues.
So khan staying up in the maidana fight didn't prove he has a good chin ya reckon, because freddie said after the fight khan had a good chin, and i just thought 'he was still rocked!' albeit against a big puncher. Although morales wasn't all wobbly like amir in his fight with el chino.

Some people would consider this punch resistance and chin as being dropped. Or are they the same thing?
Damn, where are all the Americans at?
You know the ones who try to claim EVERY fighter as American?
no hurrrrr Donaire is American cuz he lives here hurrrr!
Manny Pacq is american he trains here hurrrr
Americans love claiming other fighters as their own, but I wonder why not for Ortiz? since he was actually born in america. but hes a MEXICAN. Just happened to be born in the USA. I consider him Mex-American
How many cholos born in the USA to Cholo parents who never learn English or get citizenship? My buddy is a Ese who has family in California and says some of his cousins who were born in CALIFORNIA DONT KNOW ENGLISH, WTF???
Curious question I want to know.
If a Muslim Palestinian Man and WOman have a kid in Israel, does that make the kid Israeli?
If a Irish family lives in USA and has a kid is that kid American?
If a Somalian man and woman enter Canada illegally and have 20 kids are those kids Canadian?
If a Canadian(white) goes to Somalia and they somehow have a kid there is that kid Somalian?
yesssssss!!!!!
