If he was to reire now, id say it was the right decision and he can hang up his gloves with no shame. He was abit of a beast at 140 and pretty much ruled the division. He beat some decent names in Castillo, Malignaggi, Collazo, Urango, Maussa, Tszyu and only lost to the best pound for pound in the world in Pacquiao and Mayweather. His eating and drinking habits probably wasnt the best idea for his career, but that all made for the brillant character he was and thats why he had such great support from the fans. He has had a very good career and id say he was a solid B grade fighter, who was capable of beating all the other B fighters around, but would struggle with the world class A grade boxers. Wasnt the most skilled fighter, but had great heart and would always come forward and never take a step backwards. Im a big fan and have enjoyed watching him over the years.

Hopefully it's true. He had a great career for sure, but it's over now. I hope understands that.

I've made my feelings on Kostya Poo clear a number of times on this forum in the past. Tszyu was never as good as he was billed.He was never the puncher he was made out to be. Tszyu never proved himself to be an elite level fighter.He chose to duck and avoided every elite level fighter of his generation to stick it out in a dead divsion and defending his title against worthless mandatories. He's had a good career and only lost to the #1 P4P fighter's in the world. I hope he enjoys his retirement and does good with his promoting.

all beleive hes retired when a hear it I think Ricky just realised he announced his comeback too soon. First of all - he's massively fat. Second of all - there is no opponent. Thirdly, there is a football world cup on in both June and July (the summer). I honestly think any right-minded football fan would like to enjoy that and not have to be sweating like a bitch in a sweatsuit in a sauna on a treadmill. Hatton loves to drink and enjoy life and there is no better opportunity than a world cup. Hatton's fight will be be in September or October.

a true overachiever, the man compensated his lack of skills with his brute strength, heart, and charisma. i'm glad he gets to enjoy his retirement with his family without any permanent damages. taking bets how fat he gets by the end of the year. my take - 275 pounds.
