Manny is a much better fighter than he was vs Morales. I disagree....he is 20 pounds heavier, slower, throws less punches, older doesn't take as good a shot as he used to, and he still has the same technical liabilities.....lunging, throws jab, left low.....throws power left, right hand low and he jumps in face first. only thing he does better now is pace himself and his punch variety is better Mayweather is not a better fighter at 38 than 28 either....more experienced...not better

I wholeheartedly agree with Bernard on this one. And his theory of Mayweather "taming" Pacquiao, turning Pac into a 1-2 punch and reset fighter is the reason why Pacquiao will win this by decision (assuming there's no robbery and the fight is called fairly as possible). Mayweather will not tame Pacquiao. No one has tamed Pacquiao for years. he's been a bit more cautious after the JMM knockout but his style and aggression will always be the same. Pacquiao will employ a new strategy, that I'm sure but his bread and butter which is to throw volume, fast and powerful combinations in awkward angles will be there on May 2nd. Pac has nothing to lose. He's not going to fight at Mayweather's tempo. Pacquiao in 11 TKO or SD IMO. if you've been tamed once, you can be tamed again....Manny has 5 losses and many close calls that could have went either way Manny was just kayoed less than 5 fights ago, that's not the easiest thing to oversome...just because a fighter has recovered mentally, doesn't mean their body has....he hasn't faced a fighter who poses a possibility of hurting him since losing by Kayo...IMO mayweather hits harder than Bradley, Rios, and Algeri at 147 He is a great fighter but it is not out of the question that a fighter who was outboxed by a past prime erik morales in his own prime can lose past prime Morales and Mayweather are similar in reach and build both can fight inside, outside, and side to side.....Mayweather adds more speed, better defense and he is physically stronger of the 2.

Judah straight ethered Roach he didn't bad mouth him, just stated facts I cant think of one top fighter he didn't get that wasn't already a former champion or a contender....its just the truth and cant be disputed Yoel Judah trained him from the ground up, Nacho Beristein trained several great fighters from scratch, angel Garcia got Danny, SR got Floyd. IMO roach is one of the best trainers but most of his accolades are undeserved....he wins fighter of the year even when his best fighters are taking losses.

Zab is just mad that when it's all said and done he'll be nothing more than a mere footnote in the history of the sport while Roach will be considered one of the greatest trainers of all time. And Judah's career is barely anything to brag about. You were a 5 times champion in an era where there is 4 belts per division. I'm pretty sure Freddie could have won a few championships too if you could fight 13-5-2 fighters for a championship. Judah held the wbo and ibf(2x) and was also undisputed welterweight champion Cory Spinks was no scrub, nor was Terron Millet, Junior Witter, Lucas Matthyssee, or Micky Ward Roach would have lost to all of Judah's decent competition Roach was getting beat up by journeymen and club fighters His connections to Eddie Futch helped Roach get a lot of clients but Judah was right.....name one fighter that wasn't already a champion or contender before they got to Roach....he is great but overrated because of his Parkinson's condition....**** the feel good story when you talk trash and was a C-class fighter criticizing a former world champion

The WBA derives from the NBA, you have them mixed up. The WBC is probably the most corrupt of them all. The IBF is clearly the best of an awful bunch thanks for the correction....all of them have done some shady things but the wba and wbc are the cream of the crop

It would be fun to watch but Hatton is just flat out a better fighter and he is better at doing what Rios does best...pressure and body punching Add in the foot speed and hand speed, he is probably stronger, has better boxing skills. Hatton would be too much for Rios who would get smothered and outworked

The WBC I think it derived from the NBA and was the first international sanctioning body for world champions IMO I don't really pay attention to all the belts except the WBC, WBA, and ring magazine champions back in the day both titleholders of the wbc and wba unified often....the ibf and wbo changed things into fighters and promoters high jacking titles in different fighters countries fighting mis-mandatorys

Sorry dude but like I said if Judah fought during a time were there was only 1 or 2 titles he wouldn't be a champion either. He only impressive world title win was the Cory Spink victory. Every other belt he held was against less than stellar competition, must of the time the belt was vacant. Don't get me wrong Judah's a better fighter than Roach but Roach is a more important figure in the world of boxing. and Roach's accomplishment as trainers far outweighs Judah's as a fighter. And like I said earlier it doesn't matter if you take a fighter from when they were 8 up into their adult years, it just mean you found your perfect fighter at an early age. Roach has been with Manny since 126lbs and has been there with him through his must important accomplishments. And for Judah to say Judel, Angel, or Floyd Sr. are better trainers than Roach is pure stupidity. the stupidity is you putting words in my mouth I said they actually built champions from scratch and train some as well Did Roach ever make a champ from scratch? did I miss something? IIRC, Izzy used to spar with PAC...not sure if there are youtube vids but i think they used to work together im sure about videos but I do remember both being world champs at the wild card, and Izzy was trained by Freddie Roach and Rudy Perez

I think Vazquez would have beaten Pacquiao. However Vazquez Great Rival Rafael Marquez would have been beaten by Pacquiao. Yea...Rafael was the better puncher, better technique, a lil more naturally talented, but Vazquez had a heart that pumped Gasoline and determination. I think IZZY had a better chance than Rafael because of his grit, size, and physical strength

i think manny would have been too much for paulie. larios and vasquez too probably beats paulie. thing is paulie barely stayed at 122. he went for the big money fights at 126. larios gave pac a good fight at 130 later and israel use to hang with pac sparring at wildcard. but pac, like ayala, was drawn up in weight for the barrera, morales fights. by the time izzy, larios got their belts pac was already about to fight/already fought barrera at 126. Ayala was fun to watch but I hated they screwed mi vida loca.....I liked Ayala but he Tapia deserved at least one of those fights. It seemed like more times than not Ayala always got the upperhand on the cards in a close fight Manny's Last fight at 122 was july 2003 Vazquez got a shot at Larios and lost in 2002....even though he didn't have a belt he still was a top contender....before Manny moved up he also beat Jorge Julio was a former titleholder and another lower level opponent Larios was the WBC title holder before Manny moved up. they fought at 130 but I think if they fought in 122 he would have fought a primed Larios. opposite. izzy was too small. pac had like 4 inches and 10-15 lbs on him. pac at 122 was like 140+ lbs fight night. izzy can hang with pac sparring but whole different ballgame with CLITORIS gloves and no headgear. rafa would have had a better chance imo. rafa was very skilled, if he didn't try to slug. i always thought rafa was better than jmm. Their was a time when Rafael was the more accomplished of the brothers, Marquez.....when he was defending his IBF title at 118, I thought he'd become a hall of famer. He had 8 title defenses, beat HOFer Marc Too Sharp Johnston, and one of the most overlooked good little Tim Austin.....He was clinical against Silence Mabuza. Great technique and combinations. Above 118 Rafa was quite the physical beat nor quite as sturdy.

roach does trash talk too much but i don't think that takes away from how good of a trainer he is. roach has produced countless of champions more than guys like virgil hunter and robert garcia. i think nacho is the only one currently who can claim to have produced and train as much champions or slightly more as him. name 5 champions Freddie roach developed early on before they ever won a world title or was a top ten contender Nacho developed ATG jmm, ricardo lopez, gilberto roman, and near great Zaragoza from scratch....also Rafa Marquez

What??? How can you compare Floyd's training to Hagler's training??? It's not possible, here's why. Marvin Hagler is an ATG who fought the best. He would fight anywhere, anytime, any place, even outside of the country. Floyd is a mere HOF'mer who is insecure and doesn't fight the very best. We don't know how great Floyd's stamina is. We know it's good at best. He's never had to fight 12 HARD rounds against opposition that could defeat him. He gets away with this low output per round in this era. He wouldn't get away with it in another era where EVERY opponent only knew HARD WORK. They would throw until the end. I question whether he can fight 12 hard rounds against A Level fighters, fight in and fight out. He wanted to retire after Hatton. He wanted to retire after Cotto. Maidana's pace bothered the hell out of him. Maidana won like 5 out of the first 6 rounds, in the first fight because of his pace alone. Floyd's condition would not survive the 80's or 90's. He is conditioned to go all night fighting at the slow pace he fights, throwing 40 punches a round. This is a major weakness. i'm not convinced floyd is quite the beast in the gym he's made us believe he is over the years. he's always in there, granted, but it's all doing the same familiar routines and movements and dictating the pace himself. and drinking mountain dew. i mean we all saw him chopping wood like a woman the other day. his jumproping skills are impressive, though, if not a little monotonous much like his entire regimen. he must be doing something right....going undefeated as a pro for 19 years and fighting so many world class guys....must not be that monotionous

roach is one of my favorite trainers, but he talks to darn much. He is a pupil of the great eddie futch and was trained by him, I don't doubt his knowledge of the game. He just says these dumb things and trashes people and gets a pass because of his health condition....I have no more pity for him than I do for Roger....Hell Roach may live longer than Roger and no one is all respectful of Roger' I love Manny's demeanor....he is just one of those happy go lucky guys whose charismatic and can kick you butt. As the years has passed, Roach has lost a lot of humility. Roach sounds like he is the one fighting when speaking about his pupils' fights. like he is living vicariously through them.....newsflash roach....a trainer builds off a fighters stregnths, corrects bad habits, and don't try to make a fighter the way you want but base the game plan off your fighters attributes.....Khan would have been better served with Hunter from the start of his career

yeah but they gave wbo prominence. before that wbo was considered a euro promoter thing. those 3 stars made it a major. whenever delahoya/barrera had a wbo (MULTIPLE TIMES) and hamed (kept WBO for years over his other belts) the most famous in that division. IMO the WBO is now a slight level above Euro level....often times it gets kidnapped by a decent fighter over in Germany, the UK or elsewhere and the title holder never faces the best guys in the division....Manny, and Wlad stepped up to unify...the others guys not so much

delahoya, hamed, barrera made it a major belt in the 90's. Hamed actually cleaned out his division before being stripped of it....De La Hoya and Barrera are great fighters but their WBO title fights had their worst opponents they fought for titles

Need to take this video with a grain of salt. Mosley's kid is frequently in and out of the Mayweather gym when he trains with SR. or sparring, Judah is Mayweathers current sparring partner. lol. What did you expect. Most of the pros, amatuers and pro trainers videos ive viewed are picking mayweather and they explain it thoroughly Most the people picking Manny is because they want Mayweather to lose, the like him as a person, and most don't give an assessment of it at all on why they think Manny would win Judah and Big Shane been in the ring with Mayweather....shane fought both I think they are a bit more qualified giving their assessment than posters on this site....majority of the people on this site cant score rounds, wrap their hands, or even know anything about boxing....they are fan boys of either fighter
