I've just read Pac comment that he's ok with all the blood test but not on the day of the fight. He believed Floyd using this mind games to make him mad and get distracted.
the final blood test is after the fight...
To tell you the truth i don,t think mayweather has the balls to face mosley...just think that marquez gave floyd a fight and didn,t even belong at that weight so imagine what moseley would do to little floyd??? But the way floyd looked after the marquez fight and i know he was off 2 years and he had a lot of ring rust but, to go in there with lets say a mosley or a cotto or even a pacquaio would be devastating...we know people will say that floyd is the best but, i say he was the best and i think his best years are behind him and if he fights any of the top guys at w.w. And not jr.w.w. His 0 will go...
mosley will knock out 80% of opponents who won't/don't move their heads. do the math...
now. floyd mayweather jr is a fighter unlike any other. not only is his defence virtually impregnable (to date), he has the ability to twist his body and roll his shoulders causing punches to ricochet away from their intended. don't expect mosley to be as competitive as when he boxed cotto, or as dominant as when he bullied margarito. consider what it takes to hit floyd flush and consistently. he can be stopped, but not by sugar shane mosley...
oh dear. my boxing brother. let's work backwards shall we? joshua clottey 50% ko ratio. cotto win by SD?? People know what took place that night. I gave the win to Cotto, because Clottey didn't close the show when he should've. Michael Jennings 45% ko ratio. cotto win by tko rd5. Let's face it, who is Michael Jennings? He shouldn't have been there in the first place! antonio margarito? it's not confirmed if his gloves were loaded! cotto boxed beautifully, but wasn't able to discourage margarito from pressing forward. Alfonso Gomez? the contender? enough said! Shane Mosley 75% ko ratio, UD. Definatelt a legitimate win. But watch that fight closely... when Mosley lands flush witness 'the pause!' cotto responds immediately and unfortunately mosley is there to be hit. Zab Judah 55% ko ratio, tko rd11. Judah has a 12-15 minute attention span. after that it auto-pilot/survival. meaning 15 minutes of hell for cotto. WATCH the tape. Oktay Urkal 28% ko ratio. Carlos Quintant sits on 71%ko but look at the quality of opponents. He never met anyone like cotto. So... cotto's chin technically hasn't had to stand up to much. he has been rocked over and over again. just watch the tapes carefully without prejudice... thank you
my boxing loving brother, my gut feeling is that the fight won't last long enough for his stamina to play a factor. he starts slow. he gets caught early. he went 12 rounds against clottey, still throwing punches. however clottey is not a finisher. against guys with bang you see how vulnerable he becomes. fighters who had the opportunity to finish him early; judah, corley, torres. watch the tapes. listen to kellerman, atlas, lampley recent interviews. we share concerns...
broner was interviewed before the guerrero-berto bout and was asked who he saw himself facing next or in the near future, broner said one name, "manny pacquiao". broner is one of boxing's future p4p stars and the fight would be the next big thing after the fall out of mayweather-pacquiao.
broner thinks that pacquiao and marquez are just fighting for the money and believes he can beat pacquiao if given the chance. as for pacquiao, he's used to facing undefeated opposition and ultimately dominated each one.
broner's defense is over rated, backs off in a straight line, broner hasn't fought an opponent who is even close to pacquiao's trademark ferocious offense and athleticism. pacquiao wins by tko in the late rounds.
your thoughts?
You idiot. The last time Pac fought undefeated opposition, he was beaten. Before that it was just under 5 years ago against Jorge Solis, and he had 2 draws. Get your facts straight.
I would be what you call a *****. But his inactivity in the ring can not be justified. I don't know if he's scared. Don't know whats in the man's mind. Bottom line, if he claims to be the best then he should take on ALL challengers, and not dismiss challenges by hiding behind PPV numbers.
The Pacquiao saga is pointless chewing over. To me Manny ducked the test, and subsequently the fight.
Ortiz was having his best round and was improving when it was stopped. You assume Floyd was beginning to adjust but don't give Ortiz the same consideration.
Ortiz was having his best round, which is why he headbutted his opponent and busted his mouth open; actually tried to break his nose (Ortiz's words, hence subpoenaed by the athletic commission). Within the Queensbury rules, Floyd responded with a 2-punch combination which Ortiz failed to recover from...
You don't know ***** about boxing.
I was expecting to hear those words if he fought Pacquiao but that's not happening anytime soon so waiting for May 5th to hear those words:
"DOWN GOES MAYWEATHER"
Followed by "IN TO THE HALL OF FAME AS THE GREATEST FIGHTER OF THIS BOXING ERA!!
AN EPIC VICTORY!!!
it seems like he actually takes care of his fighters. I mean which other promoter could have given a guy like clottey a million dollar payday.
Clottey was paid to make the fight an exhibition. Not actually try to win!
Where is Clottey now? He was set up to lose!
Personally I think Clottey could've outboxed Manny easily, but he didn't bother throwing punches for 90% of the bout. Silly boy... Gets not respect.
That whole mess was just awesome to watch on tv :lol1: I think I still even have a VHS of it around somewhere.
In Lampley's defense regarding missing Big George (who btw is my favorite color commentator of all time :)), didn't Foreman get mad and chew Jim's @ss and tell him to stfu in a menacing fashion toward the end of Barrera vs Hamed? If I was Lampley in that moment, I'm sure I would have shat myself and wanted to be far, FAAARRR away. :lol1:
What do you mean by colour commentator?
I am pretty sure that it was body shots that messed up Manny and not head shots. So it is not quite thew same.
Manny was dropped with a jab in a fight I saw. His eyes were all crossed over. He was cheekily given extra time to recover.

I've just tried to keep the list concentrated on popular/recently active fighters. Most of the information is available by a quick google search. If you have any recommendations or gripes you can ask me to edit the list :)
Speculation??

These 2 losers who always whore for attention during the fighters' introductions and in the postfight interviews are f+cking annoying. Do you guys also notice these ass_holes always acting like they are friends with the fighters and hyping them up during the introductions? Even in the postfight interviews they always try to be seen behind the interviewed fighter cause it gives them a hard on to be on TV. Somebody needs to tell those losers that nobody wants to see them. And I just made this thread cause they are annoying me since years. In almost every fight in which their daddy is involved, they whore for attention in the ring. The fighters only act like they are cool with these losers cause of their daddy. If Daddy wouldn't protect these 2 f+cks, the fighters would take their lunch money and laugh at them. Here they are:

You have no idea what they do behind the scenes. Get over it.
