As far as I recall Cotto outweighed DeMarcus 'Chop Chop' Corley by 17lbs on fight night! Only thing is Corley did not appreciate after weighing in 140lbs and he rocked Cotto... Severely (overhand right)! Also that fight was stopped prematurely. My concern for Cotto is that he can't eat what he dishes out, lately. His chin people!? I'm just talking to you...
oh dear. my boxing brother. let's work backwards shall we? joshua clottey 50% ko ratio. cotto win by SD?? People know what took place that night. I gave the win to Cotto, because Clottey didn't close the show when he should've. Michael Jennings 45% ko ratio. cotto win by tko rd5. Let's face it, who is Michael Jennings? He shouldn't have been there in the first place! antonio margarito? it's not confirmed if his gloves were loaded! cotto boxed beautifully, but wasn't able to discourage margarito from pressing forward. Alfonso Gomez? the contender? enough said! Shane Mosley 75% ko ratio, UD. Definatelt a legitimate win. But watch that fight closely... when Mosley lands flush witness 'the pause!' cotto responds immediately and unfortunately mosley is there to be hit. Zab Judah 55% ko ratio, tko rd11. Judah has a 12-15 minute attention span. after that it auto-pilot/survival. meaning 15 minutes of hell for cotto. WATCH the tape. Oktay Urkal 28% ko ratio. Carlos Quintant sits on 71%ko but look at the quality of opponents. He never met anyone like cotto. So... cotto's chin technically hasn't had to stand up to much. he has been rocked over and over again. just watch the tapes carefully without prejudice... thank you
Cotto has taken mega shots and has only been "really" hurt by Margarito. If we used the "pause standard" to measure a person's chin, very few boxers would have "good chins." I won't discuss the Margarito fight because the possibility exists that he had loaded gloves.
Everytime Cotto has fought a top welter he has been hit flush and hard, and it doesn't seem to faze him. In fact, I was just watching the Judah fight the other day and after he got rocked by that uppercut and following exchanges, he still kept leaning in looking to attack Judah. No fighter would put himself in a position to get tagged again like that if he were sincerely hurt. I don't buy it. You discount Quintana; however, Cotto himself admitted that Quintana rocked him with a body shot. And despite all that he kept pressing forward. I think you and others can't get over the fact that you really have to put a world of hurt on Cotto to bring him down. Pacquiao will likely hit Cotto and give him pause, but unless Pacquiao hits Cotto with a barrage of punches that are at least as strong as Cotto can hit, Pacquiao is not going to pummell Cotto. Nothing in Pacquiao's or Cotto's history suggest that.

Cotto will get pot shotted to death the first round or two, but when he lands that solid one the pack man is gonna be in for a rude awakening n possibly ktfo...:omfg::wtf:
Marquez is an expert counter-puncher, Cotto is not. He is also big, slow and lumbering. He will get pot-shotted all night just like Oscar. Pac is too quick, too elusive.
cotto knocked clottey down with a counter jab. he countered mosley and margarito repeatedly. just because he's not renowned for his counterpunching doesn't mean he can't.
marquez and cotto both have the same height and reach. in his fight with mosley, cotto repeatedly beat him to the punch and at times outboxed him. for the first six rounds cotto was outspeeding and outmanuevering margarito(who is big and slow, granted)
Cotto quit ffs , just like Oscar, where is the heart? Pair of quitters, cowardly.
Hatton has been knocked out twice ever, and once on the wrong end of scandalous refereeing. But he never quit and never will.
that is the excuse. jajaja
a lot of holding is not boxing. If you want to hold for the whole round he should fight at MMA
Cotto will go the same way as ODLH because he's prepared to run, last a bit longer but still won't land and will ultimately have to quit again. Hatton doesn't run, period.
Hatton just got KTFO
That was Knock out of the year
my boxing loving brother, my gut feeling is that the fight won't last long enough for his stamina to play a factor. he starts slow. he gets caught early. he went 12 rounds against clottey, still throwing punches. however clottey is not a finisher. against guys with bang you see how vulnerable he becomes. fighters who had the opportunity to finish him early; judah, corley, torres. watch the tapes. listen to kellerman, atlas, lampley recent interviews. we share concerns...
Ok. Marquez has never been known for his speed and landed on Pac pretty frequently.

Cotto has 10x the heart and will power than gaylahoya..............hatton gets KTFO...............period.

Cotto won`t outweigh Pac that much, I understand that their contracted weight is 145 at official weigh-in and Cotto at not more than 155 at fight night, or Cotto will be penalized 1m per pound or Pac Team won`t fight him.
Judah doesn't have the same body movement as Pacquiao. Pac is constantly a moving target, so hard to pin down. And when his opponent does throw, Pac has 2 or 3 punches to return on him.

I don't know, he landed on Judah pretty good.

Dont worry..COTTO wont get hattonized .............v.s. PAC or PBF..............LOl

His chin was a question mark at 140 because he was killing himself to make it. Since the move to welterweight he's taking big shots and taking them well.
