It is such a weak division I can't give him great credit for anything. If he cleared it out then props and its not his fault. Its a bit like Wladimir in a way only he had Haye a few others.
The only fighter at middleweight I'd give him any real credit for is Sergio Mora based on the fact I think stylistically that is a tough fight for him. If he beat Mora convincingly I'd give him credit.
I don't see anybody else capable of testing him. He is the best of a very bad bunch.
Outside of GGG I don't see any fighters I'd honestly class as legitimate world class. They're overachieving because there is no real quality there.

The CW Division is extremely weak. Huck and Wlodarczyk are very good. Hernandez is a PED cheater and should be banned. Shimmel is the future of that division. Chakhiev can bang but he needs to work on his stamina and covering up.

Kovolev is a lot better than pavlik, and I think he runs over Bernard and stops him sometime after 6 rds
Overall Pavlik was a better fighter but he was a true MW. Pavlik was unbeaten, ranked in top 10 p4p, and was lineal MW Champ of the world.
Remember, Hopkins made Pavlik go to 170 lbs for that fight.
Kovalev is at LHW and doesn't need to move up 10 lbs for the fight.
Taylor beat Hopkins both times and Pavlik beat Taylor twice...means nothing as Hopkins will be 50 for his last fight.

I'm looking forward to this fight than any other fight coming up. Catchweight kinda sucks but oh well. Very interesting fight. I believe Rosados got the heart,chin and toughness to survive kirklands onslaught. Kirk can be outboxed molina was doing it to him. I think rosado has enough boxing ability in him to do it for the entire fight but he needs to stay off the ropes, tapia made a big mistake in his fight vs kirkland and just laid on the ropes. Kirkland is a savage and is known for out willing his opponents but can he do it against the rugged gritty philadelphian? Some other points, Rosado hasnt fought a lefty since 2012 vs powell. Kirkland might have a bigger "name" but rosado clearly has a better resume and is the wayyyy more active fighter.

Chris was only asking for the standard 20 x 20 ring that is at all of our gyms and is used in almost every fight. TR pulled a fast one on Algieri and set-up a 18 X 18 ring used pretty much only in HW main events. By the time Algeiri's people measured it, it was "do you want that $ 100k for a title shot or not?"

Algieri said in an interview i heard that he's down for the rematch but he's not sure if Ruslan really wants it. Plus he says that Team Prov requested the smallest possible ring for the first fight and they chose the location but in the rematch, as the champ, Algieri will use a championship size ring which means that he'll beat Ruslan even easier than he did the first time!
I scored the fight 114-113 for Algieri. An immediate rematch makes sense and will sell really well. The # s for this fight, viewership, demand a rematch would be better and bigger.

I watch and go to a lot of boxing over 126 lbs. I love me a goog HW scrap. There are very few guys that I don't enjoy watching. Rigo, Ishe Smith, K9, and Paulie do nothing for me. I have at least 20-25 fighters that I must watch and root for. I support the sport I love by watching ppv fights and going to live events as well.
It is a very good time to be a boxing fan.
