Alex Ariza has a College Degree, is smart, and well spoken. As a result, he will make many Boxing Trainers - who are pretty ignorant - feel bad because they know they are not as smart as Ariza and never will be. Even though Alex produces results, Boxing Trainers would rather fire him than stay with him and be reminded of their ignorance on a daily basis.
If trainers think they can copy Ariza's results after having been around him for awhile, then I say "Good Luck....Chump". What Alex does can not be simply repeated and applied to another fighter, or even be repeated for the same fighter for another fight. Ariza is constantly analyzing a fighter's vitamin, mineral and nutrient levels and adjusting supplements and diets accordingly. Likewise, he also varies training accordingly.
Last...every fighter worth his salt takes steroids at one time or another. the trick is to repair and build muscle with steroids between training camps out of sight of USADA, and then taper off before training camp - and these gains will carry over to the fight. Also, not all steroids are the same. You got to know which ones to use and how. A good trainer knows how to do this without getting the fighter burned.
Also, any fighter who shows up to a fight with steroids in his system is a fool or has a fool for a trainer. While steroids can increase muscle mass and help repair the body, they also make the tissues retain water and slow a fighter down. THAT is why you want a fighter cleaan of steroids before a fight even if they were legal to use. And THAT is why Manny's requested 2-week cutoff date for blood testing before a fight was kind of crazy, but would not have resulted in masking steroid use, for a good trainer would have already tapered him off long beforehand.
Maidana is going to miss Ariza.
Are you gonna explain this further on your memoirs Alex?

Go to bed, Alex.
He was not only doing his job, listen to him in the corner during the fights, he interrupts Freddie a lot, trying to take over.
People don't seem to get this. He is an S&C coach but started acting like his is also a trainer.
Ariza overstepped his boundries and got canned for it.
There are posters in this thread slamming Ariza that use to praise him when he was with Manny
I don't question Ariza's talent as a strength and conditioning coach. I just think he rubs people the wrong way and Robert Garcia doesn't take sh1t from nobody.
Ariz seems to be a very unlikable guy.
Ariza was acting wild, but I can also see Ariza raising his prices for his services, especially with the success his gym is having.
Hopefully Robert has a good plan, cause the Ariza shakes are irreplaceable.
He can always hire Memo. That guy is ****ing king :notworthy
The majority of Pac's training in the Rios fight took place in the Philippines. (I saw one clip showing Pac eating Adobo or something, :D, maybe a local delicacy.) Like I said, the conditioning trainer who Roach was trying to send didn't make it in the Phil. due to immigration problems.
You also need to focus on Maidana. Ariza didn't do well with him.
fortune was the guy that was suppose to be pac's s/c coach for the rios fight but he couldnt go to china because of his passport or something so roach got pac the blonde hair dude. like i said i dont know if they did any s/c work but that guy was with manny. during the whole drama thing with roach and alex and robert, that white dude was the one holding them back.
the blonde hair white dude was with manny. im not sure if they did any s/c work but i know he's one of roach's guy for s/c.

If Pac had his way, he won't have none. Roach, as I mentioned, keeps insisting that Pac gets one. I repeat, Pac didn't have conditioning coach in the Rios fight. Roach tried to send this Australian guy in the last days of Pac's training in the Philippines. The guy didn't make it due to immigration issues. Pac and Buboy were perfectly okay with it.
The Rios fight came and I didn't see Pac gasping for breath and it looked like he could do 15 rounds. Man, he was in perfect physical condition!
Fast forward to Maidana/Ariza team in the Broner fight. Man, Maidana needs to take over his conditioning just like Pac did. Maidana looked like he was about to collapse even in the fourth round and onwards due to exhaustion.

get rid of the space between ring
Ryan wrote that article...unless there was a change, i thought Fortune came back for the Rios fight
yeah fortune was suppose to be the s/c coach for manny against rios but he bailed out at the last minute because he couldnt get his passport or something like that. manny was working with the same dude that worked with cotto for martinez.
PAC actually worked with Justin Fortune for the Rios fight and the Bradley rematch...i think his stamina looked better in those fights than with Ariza

naw for the rios fight pac worked with that blonde hair white dude.. the other s/c coach for cotto.. the bradley rematch is when manny reunited with fortune. i honestly dont see the big deal with ariza. i think he came on at the right time when manny was in his prime and was blasting his opponents out and ariza just got the credit for it. manny was already a monster in the lower weights before ariza came along. im sure ariza did do some good things to pac but it wasnt like pac's success came from alex.
Let's just face the fact that conditioning coaches are overrated. In reality, they don't have one size fits all solution for every fighter. People are different culturally, economically, physically. Pacquiao already proved he doesn't need a conditioning coach and he actually avoids them. He didn't have one in his comeback fight with Rios, none. Roach is the only one who insists on it. At the end of the day fighters themselves should take over 90% of their own conditioning. It's their bodies.
he probably thought he was the main trainer again like at Wild Card...that's why they told him to bounce
you know there's something really wrong when the people who fired you STILL praise your work...must mean you have a major attitude problem
Emanuel Steward said it years ago: "Ariza is a nut"
wouldnt suprise me if they did...
Does the Garcia camp turn to Memo now for S & C help?
They've already used Memo Heredia in the past for Brandon Rios. Then dropped him, and later hired Ariza.

Yea, its no coincidence he's been told to kick rocks twice now.
