ESPN has done a lot of coverage for this fight. Just as much, if not more for the Lesnar-Couture fight. Oscar was on Jim Rome this week, Manny was on ESPN News for an interview. Teddy Atlas was on ESPN's First Take. And a few weeks back they did a bit on Pacquiao for E:60. Oscar did the Sunday conversation on Sportscenter too.
On the right side are some videos.

De La Hoya keeps talking about how he wants one of his next fights to be on network television. It might be BS, but i heard he was talking to nbc a little while ago.
It is a great card, but 2 days after Christmas doesn't translate to big numbers. Boxing can't put on a card like that with it's current big names because they are a bit spoiled. Floyd's never going to take a pay cut, and less of the spotlight just to make a better card for the fans.
UFC is dying a slow death. It won't be around much longer.
I don't agree with this, its defiantly not growing at the same rate as it was a year or two ago, but it is still growing.
The Mayweather's in 24/7 is always good, especially Roger. Hatton's good. Pacquiao was surprisingly good. I think Cotto might be good, similar to Pacquiao how he's big in his home country. Wlad/Haye would be similar to DLH/Floyd with the contradicting personalities.
Calzaghe's crap. Jones wasn't too great either. I don't expect Dawson, Williams, Margarito, or Mosely to be any good.
Toney and/or Tyson would've been gold.
Yes, fight JCC Jr. on network television!! Put Berto and Ward on the undercard! The future of American boxing. Maybe even throw Arreola on the undercard.
Actally it's very big in Europe!
Michael Bisping (UFC Middleweight) was voted most popular fighter in England over Joe Calzage and Ricky Hatton if that shows you how popular it is.
Where is this from? I thought Calzaghe won sportsman of the year in the UK and Hatton was third on the list, and thats including all sports.
Boxing will do just fine. Don't forget, we all know boxing will have a superstar 10 years down the line with Lehkai Mayweather (Roger's kid). Until then, Khan and Haye will carry it in the UK, Versus is doing a lot of good for the sport, maybe Deontay Wilder will be something big, hopefully Pavlik will get back on track.
I don't think UFC can put a card like this out a few years from now. I think MMA will become sort of like boxing. Guys will leave the ufc for more money. The UFC is getting some competition from Affliction and a few other companies. This is still the first generation of mma fighters. Forrest Griffin was a police officer, I don't think he is upset with the money he's making. Most of these guys didn't grow up saying I want to be a fighter. The next generation will be training from the time they're kids, dreaming of fame and fortune, similar to the way Floyd is with boxing.
If Floyd had the mentality of DLH (fighting the best), he would be one of, if not the greatest of all-time. If he stays retired we will never really know how great he was.
There would be a little more buzz if Povetkin was in it. But yes it's sad, hopefully Haye is at least half of what he says he is and makes the heavyweight division interesting.
You can thank Emanuel Steward for his style. Before he was with Manny he was an exciting fighter, but he got hit too much. Now he makes sure he won't take hard shots.
I just don't see him hurting Vitali. I have never seen Vitali hurt by a punch. Lewis was pounding the crap out of his eye, but not once did he seem hurt. The other fight he messed up his shoulder and quit, not from the other fighter though.
I would give Roy a chance. His speed was enough to make anyone look slow, even Tyson. I see Tyson getting very angry if he couldn't get to him in the first few rounds and hitting him low or something.
