good to see boxing getting attention on tv again
The reason this event is an "event" is because of the money Golden Boy has put forth in advertising. They are literally everywhere. There is no doubt in my mind that if boxing advertised "regular" HBO fights on ESPN that we'd see them covering more weigh-ins.
ESPN has done a lot of coverage for this fight. Just as much, if not more for the Lesnar-Couture fight. Oscar was on Jim Rome this week, Manny was on ESPN News for an interview. Teddy Atlas was on ESPN's First Take. And a few weeks back they did a bit on Pacquiao for E:60. Oscar did the Sunday conversation on Sportscenter too.

i meant combined with coverage for the fight. they never spend shit talkin boxin yet will spend an entire episode speakin over a regular season game of the yankees or redsox
