I think not is the right answer. In short they will have 3 MAIN EVENT type of fights on a single card, two of them championship fights!!! It's like putting Hopkins vs Pavlik with Floyd Mayaweather vs Ricky Hatton AND Pacquiao vs Marquez, all in the same card!!! Jesus it's insane. Only Affliction put on a bigger show in the after Pride era and that was a once in a lifetime kind of event. Boxing better watch out! We can't compete with these cards!
I don't even know where to start with this one. UFC 92 is regarded by most MMA fans as one of the most talent rich cards the UFC has ever put together, therefore I'm just going to conclude from that statement that you have no idea WTF you're talking about. If you knew anything about MMA before Brock Lesnar, then you'd know who Wanderlei Silva and Minotauro Nogueira are. Same with Rampage for that matter. Do a little research, look up something called Pride Fighting Championships and learn about those guys, then get back to me.
LOL who cares about wandy the guy is shot as hell.Nog is going to submit Mir next is that guy who has a dick in his chest
Boxing will do just fine. Don't forget, we all know boxing will have a superstar 10 years down the line with Lehkai Mayweather (Roger's kid). Until then, Khan and Haye will carry it in the UK, Versus is doing a lot of good for the sport, maybe Deontay Wilder will be something big, hopefully Pavlik will get back on track.
It may not be 'bad' but it sure aint good lol And i dont see wrestling as being in the same boat really.
Rassling has much more to do with MMGay then Boxing, those numbers make it look like the UFC dominated the PPV numbers when in fact the numbers were close and Boxing sold more last year.
HBO PPV had 8 events averaging 460-480k per event
UFC will have 12 events with the average being from 480-500k per event, lets not forget that 1 million for UFC 91 isn't a fact.
Meanwhile according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the UFC’s internal discussions indicate that UFC 91 drew 1,010,000 buys. The company is reportedly hoping that late buys will push the event to an all-time company record number of buys. The current mark is 1,050,000 set by UFC 66. However, Dave Meltzer cautions that the number is not yet official and recalls similar reports out of the company following UFC 71. That event ultimately posted 675,000 buys.

My point is that it's easy to have three main event title fights on one card if your main event title fights are of this calibre.
The headline fight for UFC 92 is like pitting Sergio Mora against Sakio Bika.

And that ended up being one of the best PPV events the UFC has ever put on, in terms of numbers for the company and action for the fans who got to see EVERY single fight on the card, only one of which went to a decision. What's your point??

Why would this be bad for boxing??
WWF sold more PPV then boxing a bunch of years that didn't mean it was bad for boxing, MMA and Boxing only have about 4% cross over fans who buy both the PPVs.
If anything what those numbers say is Brock Lesnar is bringing in big PPV numbers because he was a pro rassler and his fights are freak show spectacles. There is a reason he got a title shot after going 1-1 in the UFC.

UFC is dying a slow death. It won't be around much longer.
I don't agree with this, its defiantly not growing at the same rate as it was a year or two ago, but it is still growing.
Things aint lookin so hot for boxing right now PPV wise it has to be said:

Actally it's very big in Europe!
Michael Bisping (UFC Middleweight) was voted most popular fighter in England over Joe Calzage and Ricky Hatton if that shows you how popular it is.
Where is this from? I thought Calzaghe won sportsman of the year in the UK and Hatton was third on the list, and thats including all sports.
that analogy is so off, thos no name mma fighters are no where near the caliber of mayweathers or hattons or pacquiaos, they wouldnt be able to generate the numbers on their own hence they have to congregate all 3 no name championship fights in UFC just to compete against 1 championship fight in boxing.
Translation: I dun no who dey r so nobody no who dey r LOLZZ!!!1

You're lucky if one out of ten people in Norway even know what UFC is.
When they ask, I tell them it's a teenage gay-gathering were they watch gay men in trousers hump eachother.

Remember the last main event PPV fight was between a 2-1 ex pro wrestler and a 45 year old retiree for the heavyweight championship.

I don't think UFC can put a card like this out a few years from now. I think MMA will become sort of like boxing. Guys will leave the ufc for more money. The UFC is getting some competition from Affliction and a few other companies. This is still the first generation of mma fighters. Forrest Griffin was a police officer, I don't think he is upset with the money he's making. Most of these guys didn't grow up saying I want to be a fighter. The next generation will be training from the time they're kids, dreaming of fame and fortune, similar to the way Floyd is with boxing.
Not the first generation. Maybe for the Americans it is. Brazilians are certainly doing it for longer than that as are the Japanese.
What was the line-up again? This is the December 27 fight right?
Looking forward to it.
Nogueira - Mir (5x rounds title fight)
Evans - Griffin (5x rounds title fight)
Rampage - Wand Silva
Aoki is also fighting as is Kongo.
All in all a great event wouldn't you think? and Before the year ends we still will see GSP vs BJ Penn ;)
