I presumed this was of fighters of today until I saw grebs name. Mike Tyson was by far the hardest worker- bearing in mind the man was a heavyweight too
My list is simple, these fighters give everyone a chance to not like them.
1.Tyson
Primarily because he talks so much trash, and would be the last person to back anything up. He is a shot fighter who keeps trying to reach big paydays.
2.Mayorga
Jackoff, who called Vernon Forrest a "pendejo" after he knocked him out. He has no class, and his bitterness was washed away by Saint Tito in their fight. I hope Mayorga never wins another professional bout
3.Hamed
Stupid jackoff, who insults everyone..then gets punked out by MAB. I would like to see him come out of the woodwork, and challenge a real fighter: such as JMM.
4.Toney
give someone credit you fat slob. All you do is downgrade other people's performances, and hype potential HW fights. He knows he is not going to get the money, he still likes to jaw.
5.Calzaghe
Idiot thinks he could beat RJJ, and that RJJ was scared of him years back. What a joke. RJJ would K.O. this ********* in 3 rounds, on a bicycle.
ur a foool, all of them are greats, apart from number 5 whom i dont like.
Oscar will shock Floyd, but not himself. Floyd can be hit when combos are thrown. Oscar will be the bigger man and has the skills to impose his will in a way that Baldomir and Gatti could not do. Floyd will be at his best but it will not be good enough. Pound for pound, Floyd is better but he is losing speed as he goes up. He can not get Oscar's respect as far as power is concerned.
Oscar will get hit. He will, however, continue cutting off the ring and coming forward. He will land a hard right hand in the midst of a combo that will hurt Floyd. Once that happens, it will be the beginning of the end. Oscar will jump on the wounded Floyd and give him the 1st loss on his record, by stoppage.
u knw what... i totally agree wit u... im not a big fan of oscar at all, and i think pbf is the best p4p but, hes stepping up in weight ( like u said), oscar will be bigger and stronger (like u said) and pbf will get hit wit combos (like u said) i cudnt put it beter myslef m8;) i cnt believe they made oscar that ig of underdog, may the 5th is the day the book makers r gonna get robbed, if they keep those odds lol
amateur boxing went downhill and stopped mattering about 4 years ago when they put in that stupid computer scoring rule!!
agreed, amateur boxing really doesnt matter these days, its like touch rugby is to rugby, amateur boxing is all running and throwing no punching power, and just point scoring bs, back in the day, when amateur was no headgear, and longer 3 minute rounds, was a lot better way to tell if some1 will b the same in the pro ranks. i think a person shudnt have a lot of amateur fights, coz they will get too adapted in that style, all amateur boxing is good for is either geting a good worth for a contract, and getting more comfortable with fighting, but by the way another amateur record which can b thrown in there is archie moores...5wins 4 losses.
Addidas Gloves, Are You Serious? If You Want Good Equipment There's Only 3 Choices, Grant, Everlast Or Cleto. I've Used Title Boxing Gloves And Groin Protectors Also. The Champions Use These For A Reason, They Are Diverse For Every Type Of Style Or Power.
u missed out winning man. apparntly they are the best.
Algieri Last 3 Fights: Provodnikov, Pacquiao and Khan, even before fighting them Emmanuel Taylor was a solid opponent
I would have no problem with Algieri getting an opponent to look good against before stepping up again. Jo Jo Dan or Leonard Bundu would be good for him. Look forward to seeing his improvement under John David Jackson.
100% agree
Instead of updating ur wallpaper with a guy who has fought more bums than Tyrone nurse over 30 odd fights' u need to update ur reading skills...."Chavez ruled out because he's not marketable enough" but caveman considers de gale which incuinates that. I'm British and because of how the business is over here and lack of quality training, all we generally produce is overrated paper champions. The only exception is the caveman, but don't think for one second he's a bigger name than Chavez jr. And to the idiot who thinks Johnson definitely didn't beat froch, I'm not the only one who thinks so, many people hold that opinion...then again I don't expect an educated post from someone who idolises a man that messed up with angelina jolie.
Kell is a paper champ, you look at those welterweights and tell me he is a legit champ. Stealing the title from another paper champ via uncle fast car Eddie don't mean jack
That caveman changed his tune....funny thing was he's deeming Chavez jr a less marketable opponent than "live from the bluewater glow" James de gale. Funnier still is froch thinking he's a bigger name than Chavez jr, with questionable decision wins against Johnson, dirrell, et al...and bar the groves fights man barely made 500k a fight, no doubt the British ball hangers will dispute.....but will once again have to understand that to the rest of the world most British fighters are ticket sellers/bums/paper champions.
Please show me where Carl Froch himself said Chavez Jr was not marketable.
You're quoting something put in there by the Daily Star.
Yes, your reference is the Daily fking Star. :smashfrea
Regardless... Froch is a caveman and legit champ, but he's not a bigger name than Chavez. Tbh frochs lack of boxing skill coupled with chavez's inside game is probably the real reason this fight isn't happening
Most of them are scum bags, the best promoters are the fighters themselves, i didnt like Shaw ever since the Lacy Calzaghe fight, he watched his fighter get pummleled for rounds then last 10 seconds of the fight he tells his corner to throw in the towel?! and he slits his throat in a gesture that Lacy is done, which he is, but you kno..kinda disrespectful to one of your own fighters who you hyped up himself as the next mike tyson. Don King i dislike, if he wasnt as chrasmatic as he is id hate....hes screwed over so many of my favourites, he ruined Tysons career, cheated money from tyson and chavez.
kahn fought like a bitch, his chin aint improved. and kotelnik throws no punches, he has no urgency or workrate, madianna will ktfo, in fact so would bradely, campbell, ortiz, hatton, holt, torres. khan is a paper champ, you watch him run like a bitch like he normally does from credible opponents, and fight an old washed up morales, thing is, i even fancy an old morales to knock him spark out.
Fernando Vargas was one of the best fighters i have seen for his age when he was younger, he was so talented, and if he was managed properly he would have been mentioned with ATG's. He had no business fighting the superfights he did at such a young age, and had too many hard fights back to back. I agree with the list but id take out trinidad and put in Mosley.
mosley did less than trinidad in the 90s
i disagree, shane was undefeated in the 90s, and as such went down as one of the best lightweights of all time. what did trinidad do? apart from plaster his wrap and beat and old small pernell, and deserve to lose against DLH.
Ignacio has gotta be the #1 P4P of all time when it comes to trainers.
That guy's record of producing Champions is sick.
i think hes too critical in the corner though, his training is A* his corner work is B. and i agree with the Manny Steward comment, he does ruin some fighters (naseem, taylor) and do good with guys a lot taller than others in their division (Hearns, Lewis)...suprised paul williams didn't go wit him
if you look at pure statistics, you got to say nacho is the best. he got like 16 world champions most of them little to no amateur background, who hes trained from scratch. a lot steward and roachs fighters are already accomplished before they go with him bar a few.
Naazim reminds me of a wise old sage, I swear.
Everytime I see him I just want to pick his brain about boxing and life in general ; dude just has that look about him.
yeah man, every fighter who works with him pull out a great peformance. John David Jackson another trainer whos real good, shit...Bernard's got a dream team.
I imagine it's in Philly.
But he's got a pretty full book, my man.
He trains his sons and nephews as well as being fully committed to Hopkins, and he's probably going to stick with Mosley as well.
thanks man, judging by your pics i take it you from Philly, can you keep your eyes and ears out for me about where his gym is? i dont mind if he doesn't train me, just would like to pick stuff up from him what he does in the gym, a lot of training techniques he uses are unorthadox, and ill just workout and spar at the gym etc. Philly for me has always been number 1 place in the States.
