Im always reading posts by all the fans on this site and im just curious to find out what weight class people think gives the most excitement and the least exciting....mine is WW for most and Jr Middleweight for least
That's why they didn't run out of breathe within 3 rounds like they do nowadays, and why we saw much more competative fights which contributed to the overall quality of the division.
joe louis and rocky marciano fought around the 200 mark as HWs
frazier was around 200 , ali was around 215 , liston was about 210 , patterson was under 200.
even huge george foreman was only 230.
you don't have to be 250 lbs. to crack.
earnie shavers is considered one of the hardest punchers ever and he was about 220.
I gotta go with cruiser the worst at least heavy has arreola and haye for me...right now its hard u got 122 126 135 and 147 as the best cant really pick one...by the way jr middle has kirkland, el perro, martinez that alone makes it not the worst division
can't enforce fitness.
a 220 limit for heavy would be nice and then ship the garbage guys to super heavy but that'd never happen.
having a higher division than heavyweight will hurt the prestige of the division.
people should take more notice of cruiser.
some good fights happen at cruiser but nobody watches.
6'0 to 6'4 guys weighing around 200-220 lbs. are much more pleasing to watch fight than 250-260 lb. fat boys.
i agree...haye could be serious force at cruiser...but hes taking a gamble because of the pay days at hw
well they could always make fitness rules on some of these guys....sam peters used to be decent then got to fat...taking decent guys and turning them into tubs of lard

i blame bowe and lewis.
they ushered in the era of super heavyweights.
now 6'2-6'3 guys who should be 220-230 lbs. are trying to bulk up to match the size of the 6'5 guys.
plus boxing people talking every dumb**** who's 6'6 into trying out boxing.

the fighters of the last "fit" era, have got old and boxed on too long (holyfield) , retired (lewis), got out of shape (toney) and the new breed are fat slobs (with a few exceptions (kilts, haye, barrett)!
thats why i think the hope for the division is arreola just because hes so explosive....but he has fitness problems too...i like haye too, but i think hes in it for the money...because he could be a dominat cruiser
when did the hw division become slow mo?....it used to be fast paced excitement....what happend?

got to agree with left hook, i think WW has the best POSSIBLE fights but i think lightweight has been the most exciting recently, excluding cotto - marg
147 had the great matchups but some of the fights were boring. though they were great on paper.
135 was surprising lately in the excitement.
jmm-diaz was great.

lately 135 has been money.
casa-jmm was ok.
casa-katsidis was great.
campbell-diaz was good.
diaz-jmm was great.
even manny's blowout of diaz was pretty fun to watch.
