Oscar will shock Floyd, but not himself. Floyd can be hit when combos are thrown. Oscar will be the bigger man and has the skills to impose his will in a way that Baldomir and Gatti could not do. Floyd will be at his best but it will not be good enough. Pound for pound, Floyd is better but he is losing speed as he goes up. He can not get Oscar's respect as far as power is concerned.
Oscar will get hit. He will, however, continue cutting off the ring and coming forward. He will land a hard right hand in the midst of a combo that will hurt Floyd. Once that happens, it will be the beginning of the end. Oscar will jump on the wounded Floyd and give him the 1st loss on his record, by stoppage.

Who did you pick in the first fight?
wow.. i see floyd winning this again.. easier than last time..
last time was a close fight. i wont bet on this.. but its all floyd..
i hate oscar now.. but ill root for him..
ill also root for forbes
How do you know what Floyd's gameplan will be? Floyd said he will stand and trade with Oscar. If he does that for any length of time, he will get hurt.
Floyd does get hit when you throw combonations. You aren't payng attention to what I said. I never said Oscar will land his combos at a high rate. I said he will THROW combos and land ONE hard punch IN that combo.
Kapeesh?
Floyd is lying to you. He stood and traded with Corley. He said the same stand and trade thing with Baldomir, and you know how that turned out. Floyd is too smart to do that with a bigger man, and I'm sure he has had this gameplan in his head for a while. His goal is to hit and not get hit. I don't think Oscar's combinations will land significantly enough to hurt Floyd, who will do everything to get out the way of them.
This is the thing that I can't stand about Floyd fans they think that he is unbeatable and no one can touch him. Everyone can be beaten and that includes floyd. A lot of you floyd fans are gonna be surprised if you think that floyd can't be hit by Oscar and that floyd will easily avoid all his punches.
you seem to be more worried about the fans and the opinions of people who support floyd rather than the topic at hand, as long as people arent agreeing with you with your logic then "this is what you hate about floyd fans".
Your missing the point about zab, zab is faster, you dont see his punches coming in many cases, he can catch you with shit you wouldnt dream of seeing, his combination punching comes at a much faster rate than oscar and at no time was zab landing 3 or 5 punches at a time.
Zab was able to land flush on floyd because of the way he set up the punches, and also because of his tricky southpaw stance. It is hard to prepare for a fighter like that also because of how inconsistent he is with how he is gonna show up to a fight.
De La Hoya is nowhere near as fast as Zab, doesnt setup the same way zab does and if hes gonna land on Floyd, its NOT gonna be the same way zab did. They are totally different fighters with totally different ways of scheming their punches.
If DLH tried to do the same shit that zab did, this fight will end up just like the Zab fight. Whatever DLH does and we dont know what it is, it will be something alot more intelligent than trying to throw combinations and hope something lands, that would be stupid. If hes gonna land the left hook, hes gonna set it up with positioning, timing and intelligence.

I can't recall ever saying he was unbeatable or untouchable or anything of that sort. I believe all I said is that if you think Floyd is going to allow DLH to throw combinations at him you're crazy. I've tried a couple times to get this across to you and you continue putting words in my mouth. Go back and read very slowly and maybe you'll see that the only thing I said about the fight is that Floyd doesn't stand still and allow his opponents to throw multiple punches.
Floyd has never fought anyone with Oscars skill and technical ability, not to mention Oscar has been on every big stage there is. You can't say that floyd will be able to do what he always does. I think that Floyd is gonna be surprised when he realizes that he is i there with someone that has the skills and ability of which he has never seen. There is no one that he has ever fought that can prepare him for what Oscar can do.
I have to say i kinda agree with this comment. Oscar is the best boxer on paper that PBF will have ever faced. Oscar has acheived more than any opponent PBF has fought. Oscar has also been in the ring with better people than PBF has ever been in.
But at this stage of Oscars career PBF is not in the ring with the Oscar that was, and this is where i believe PBF will have a very good chance to beat DLH. I am looking forward to this match. PBF will be slight favourite, but it wouldnt suprise me if DLH won. With what Senior Mayweather has shown DLH makes me quietly confident we could see an upset.

No, see the difference is, you can't categorize me as a Floyd fan who is down on his dick and can't see a way Oscar can win. I will admit that Oscar is the best fighter Mayweather has faced, most likely, and that Oscar has the skill and punch to have a very good shot at winning.
Likewise, I believe Mayweather is the pound for pound champion right now for a reason. Even slowed by weight he'll have a speed advantage against De la Hoya. He tucks his chin and has very good defense. It's not going to be easy for Oscar to hit him. You gave De la Hoya his props- skill and a hard punch, now give Mayweather his- great defense, speed, and skill.
One man is in his prime and one man is aging. There is a very good reason to believe Oscar is at a disadvantage due to age, as there is to believe Mayweather is disadvantaged by the weight.
Oscar is in a different league but Zab is faster. That does count for something when defending against punches.

I think you are missing the point. It doesn't matter who is in the ring with Floyd, he is going to avoid letting them throw more than one punch at a time. He always does. The post had nothing to do with Zab and Oscar.

You still can't use anything that zab did and try to say that floyd will be able to do the same against oscar. Oscar is a better fighter in every way than zab. Zab isn't in Oscars league.

I definitely didn't compare their talent did I? I was using the Zab fight as an example of Floyd avoiding combinations. Read the post again and I think you'll see that.

The DLH-Mayorga KD was clean. I think it stunned Mayorga that DLH was so quick with the punch, not hurt by the power of it. The KO was obviously an accumulation of punches. PBF was obviously off balance when Judah knocked him down. It should have been ruled a KD, but you're kidding yourself if you think it had anything to do with the power of the punch.
Thats beside the point the point is he put him down and the same can happen to floyd by the power or suprise because floyd is too arrogant to think that he can be put down and that is how he can be surprised. Don't be fooled and think that floyd is tougher or has a better chin than Mayorga and don't be fooled to think that Oscar can't put floyd down.
For you to compare Zab to De La Hoya is ridiculous. Oscar has a much better jab than Zab and is bigger and stronger. He is also a lot smarter and mentally stronger than Zab. Zab isn't any where near Oscars league.

Your gonna tell me that he can put Mayorga down with one punch, one of the toughest guys in boxing but he cant put floyd down PLEASE!!!! Zab almost put floyd down but he luckily caught himself on the canvas with his gloves, which by the way wasn't called a knockdown.

One thing I think everyone is forgetting is that Floyd doesn't get hit with combinations. Zab has some of the fastest hands in boxing and uses a double jab followed by a straight left to KO most of his opponents. By the time he was throwing his 2nd jab to set up the left, Floyd was gone. Its not often that Floyd allows his opponents to throw more than one punch while he's in range. DLH will be no exception, especially considering he has such a power advantage. If DLH KO's Floyd it will NOT be by setting Floyd up with combinations, it will be with some kind of counter, probably the left hook. I think some of you guys are wishing that Floyd gets KO'd so badly that it makes you think irrationally (like thinking DLH is going to land in bunches).
