Forman/moorer
I forgot about this one. Foreman eating punches all night long taking Moorer's best shots then outta nowhere "bang" a short right hand in the 10th round and Moorer is in dreamville! :D
How many of you guys jumped out of your chairs at least 3 times..I did on both knockdowns and then when it got stopped..I was like "holy shit" "holy shit' "I dont believe it"..then I asked all the fella's I had over "do you believe this fight" I was sweating and shit...I have that fight taped and I watch it all the time...especially from the 7th round to the 10th...but the first 6 rounds were brutal rounds... toe to toe ...trading hooks, I couldnt believe Corrales went phone booth like he did. Both these warriors left it ALL in the ring and I will admire them for it for the rest of my life...
SAME FOR ME, BUT I WAS BY MYSELF SCREAMING.
what was that comeback freitas was in... where he got KDed twice and got up to win by KO... Blanking...
Its 1:00 here, so i cant think at all. Anyone know what im talking about?
BRO, I THINK IT WAS POPO AND JORGE BARRIOS. I WANT A REMATCH ON THAT ONE TOO. BRAZIL VS. ARGENTINA. OH THE HATRED.
Kdogg
Ones that come to mind:
Weaver-Tate.....John was easily outpointing "Hercules", only to have his first title defense end 15 seconds before the final bell, courtesy of one solitary left hook with everything on it from Mike.
LaMotta-Dauntille II....Jake was on the verge of losing his Middleweight Crown to the man he had lost to the year before when he feined exhaustion, suckering Laruant into opening up on him in the final round; and exploded off the ropes to hurt and stop the Frenchman with a mere 13 seconds to go.
Chavez-Taylor I....Julio and Meldrick fought toe to tow for 11 and a half rounds with Taylor's incredible speed building up a solid lead, however, Chavez' more powerful punches had sapped the strength of Taylor throughout the bout, causing him to swallow nearly a pint of his own blood and to suffer a broken orbital bone around his left eye (I think)....then, with a mere 23 seconds left in the fight that would surely bring an end to Chavez's incredible win streak, Julio lands thunder with the right and chases Meldrick into a corner where he lands it again. While Taylor was able to reach his feet by the count of 6, he fails to respond to Referee Richard Steel's question and Steele calls a halt to the bout with only 2 seconds to go.
Those are my votes.
I remember watching that fight on WW of Sports...whata hook that was...the camera was to his back so all you could see was his head snap and then fell straight foward on his face...his arms went immediately to his sides...lights out!
how can u tell if they left ANYTHING in the ring. their second fight was equally as brutal, probably more so.
But that fight was incredible. Absolutely amazing. Im surprised it lasted 10 rounds. If it had been almost any other fighters in the division, the fight would have been over much earlier. They basically proved that they are amazingly tough.
Be honest...
corrales-castillo1 no doubt..

Absolutely...
Joe Louis catching up and stopping Conn while behind on the cards..
Ray Leonard after Dundee told him "You're blowing it son" stopping Hearns in their first fight while trailing on the cards...
I had Tommy up big time in that fight....

My pick would be Marquez vs Pacquiao. Marquez was down 3 times early in the fight, badly hurt & cut & still managed to win enough rounds to make it a draw.
corrales vs. castillo
chavez vs. taylor
gatti vs. rodriguez
marquez vs. pac ( i had pac wining but marquez cameback to make it very close took alot of heart to comeback from that 1st. rnd)
foreman vs. moore
archie moore vs. yvon durelle this is my personal favorite moore was down 3 times in the 1st. and once in the 5th. cameback to k.o durelle in the 11th.
dwight braxton was getting outjabbed till he bobbed and weaved in with the hooks and uppercuts to bust open saad muhamids nose open and beat him
Muhammad was shot in that fight. Qawi was getting to him early and often, it was all Qawi.
