Do any of you guys think Ariza will benefit Floyd?
Obviously setting aside the fact he has contradicted himself by hiring him, do you think Ariza will make him more explosive on fight night?
Supposedly, Floyd is leaner and his shoulders are more broad. He's also supposedly training on and off for the past four months. Assuredly, he (Ariza) has had some influence.
For years, it's never failed to crack me up when I read the posters here that discredit Floyd so much but its like when everything is in front of you, you fail to realize greatness
Who is the only person that has a sparring training turned into the type of mythical urban legend? Floyd vs Spadafora.
Who is the only person that has one punch brought every time he fights? Floyd vs Mosley.
Who is the only person that is consistently brought up with decisions? Floyd vs Castillo.
Who is the only person where it was an internet witch hunt to find out who gave Floyd the shiner in training? Floyd vs Errol Spence.
Floyd does none of this on his own, his detractors do. Look around here, Floyd fans have Floyd icons and avatars, look at Manny fans, Floyd icons and avatars, it's an obsession, near that of Freddie Roach.
Back to my original point, Floyd's haters learning Floyd, they've been so dismissive for years, all of this about Floyd feeling Manny's power, do you all realize that Floyd has been in the ring with people that hit much harder than Manny on a regular basis, damn the fights and getting outweighed by 15 pounds at times, He walks down middleweights in training regularly. He's brought in people like Bastie Samir, a super middleweight for a couple of his camps, an undefeated fighter in his own right, he's been in the ring with bigger boxers all his life basically, just watch how Floyd rag dolls Manny when they are close because Floyd will be, by far, the strongest person he's been in the ring with. He's not going to run, he has no need to, he's going to put the high guard up and go to work and make Manny fight off of his back foot. "Fighting Floyd Mayweather is a dose of cold reality" These are the words of boxing's most well-known play by play announcer, Jim Lampley. Words like these aren't given out so easily, they are earned, through thorough domination time and time again.
So, we have two more months of funny Photoshops, Floyd is a chicken posts, I hope Floyd has on his track shoes posts, then Manny has to actually step into the ring with Floyd. For all the hype this fight is getting, it's going to be a letdown because it will be a clear and decisive victory for Floyd.
So, I know this post is just one in a sea of many but I'm quite confident that the result ends up like this. Styles makes fights and Manny doesn't have the style to make it work.
To beat Floyd, he must be bigger than Floyd, use his jab to force the fight inside with Floyd , out-think Floyd. Manny isn't any of the above. So, what is he going to do when he finds Floyd hard to hit, is he going to actually be cautious or will he lunge like he does with JMM time and time again? You know Floyd will be in shape, that is a given with hard work, dedication and Ariza shakes, he's brought Garcia back into camp, that is the smartest thing thus far. Pacquiao and Arum have been a thorn on his side for far too long, it's statement time, from people I trust, the sentiments are that we will be seeing Pretty Boy Floyd, not Money on May 2, 2015. War Mayweather.
