what are you views on the Earl fight afterwards ?

Thought Earl lost, wasn't a robbery but thought he lost a close fight.
Mitchell is far from being world class, Eats to many right hands after 5-6 rounds his left hand was to low just like in his last fight. If he goes down the british title route he will lose.
Can you imagine what what Carl Johanneson would do to him, if he dropped his left hand, he would be ko.
If Johanneson loses to Fehintola, Mitchell will probably go for the British title. Otherwise I fear Johanneson's power would force Warren into manouevring Mitchell down the WBU route.
Think your right Beowulf, Can't see Johanneson losing, will be interesting to see who Kevin's next fight is.
Mitchell's the shit. Your just haters.
Im not a hater, just speak the truth, Mitchell has very good boxing skills, but he's a ko waiting to happen, He's had 22 fights now and he's still making the same mistakes,
Look at his last 6 fights, non of them are punchers, why do you think Frank Warren puts him in with these fighters.
George Ashie W 11 (6 ko's) L 3
Andrey Isaev W 12 (4 ko's) L 1
Imad Ben Khalifa W 9 (0 ko's) L 10 D 2
Kirkor Kirkorov W 26 (5 ko's) L 11
Youssef Djibaba W 15 (3 ko's) L 9 D 2
Mohammed Medjadji W 15 (3 ko's) L 3
Froch doesn't have a chance against Kessler or Calzaghe . He has no defence and Kessler or Calzaghe would stop him inside 6.
His defence isn't the best, but he's got a very good chin, never been down or hurt, dont think he's ready for Calzaghe or Kessler yet but he would beat Lacy, Bute, Green & andrade. He's got world class skills & the power to stop any Super Middle.
Looks like it could be Bute next in a eliminator for the wbc.
Even in the unlikely event that Froch is WAY WAY better than i give him credit for, I'd love to see him fight Bute. You don't know what you're talking about if you think Froch can beat Bute. Bute's skills are up there with Calzaghe and Kessler. He'll be a real force to be reconed with in the future. Add to that i really like his down to earth style. The guy just does his job and leaves the trash-talking to Froch and the likes.
Maybe it would have done him more good (carreerwise)to be an obnoctious loudmouth. but i really like his quetly confident approach. It's like he's so good he feels he doesn't need to do all that shit.
Gives me a lot more respect for him.
So i'd love to see Bute take out Froch as soon as possible. But i'll be worried sick the day he is to face Kessler (speaking as a Kessler fan). That could go either way. Especially if Bute builds up a little more experience first.
The thing is Froch believes everything he says, you say he is trash talking but he backs it up in the ring, he's stopped Brian Magee & Tony Dodson, in his last 2 fights which he said he would.
Brahmer will have to be more focussed if he is going to get a shot at a title. The way he has been fighting recently he will not have any chance againts Calzaghe or Kessler. Remember he recently lost to Veit and has been looking anything but sharp and forcussed in his last couple of fights. He is a great talent but at the moment his head is not in it.
Totally agree with you.
Junior will be fighting the winner of Lazcano vs Harris next, and Chico will be fighting in a non title fight around the same time, then it will be Junior vs Chico later in the year.
Past his prime? How old was he? Manny Steward is not a bad trainer. NAZ not listening to good advice does not mean he's past his prime.
What's age got to do with it? His last fight against Calvo proved this, Why do you think Naz retired, His best days were mid to late 90's.
Naz was past his best when he fought MAB, MAB outboxed NAZ and won the fight easily. Naz Just kept looking for that 1 big punch which never came. Did Naz actually listen to anything Manny steward said?
A Prime Naz was when he had ingle in his corner in the late 90's when he beat the likes of:Medina, Johnson, Kelley, Vazquez, McCullough, Ingle, Soto. Naz was Amazing against these guys.
If Naz had fought MAB in 97,98 I think it would have been a different fight with Naz being the winner.
Correct it was a lot more blatant than saying thank god or praise allah once at the end of a fight etc.
thsi was a blatent rant he asked for the mic specifically.
left me cold.
however snoopy smurf if you think that age is the main reaons behind a fighter ageging you are talking out of the wrong end mate :D .
look at tyson, wilfred benitiez or naseeem.
all had devastating but short primes, some of it is physicial, some of it is mental.
some of it a decline in training, some in desire, etc etc.
think about it. ;)
Good point JPW
He was nowhere near the same fighter against MAB , that he was against the likes of Medina, Johnson, Kelly ingle etc.
Wayne McCullogh & Erik Morales for me both have been in a lot of wars and never been knocked down (Morales slipped against Barrera it wasn't a knock down).
Top 5
1-McCullogh
2-Morales
3-Hopkins
4-Toney
5-Mayorga
Hatton is always big in between fights this stuff has been said before, It's only because he's fighting Zoo that people are making a big deal out of this, believe me Hatton will be on perfect condition come the weigh in.
Cotto is a good fighter but isn't ready for Gatti, Corley hit cotto way to much for my liking if corley had a bigger punch it would have been lights out for Cotto.
Both fighters can punch, and neither have great chins(Gatti's IMO is better). Witter's style will force Gatti into a war and it would be good while it lasted.
I'd still rather see Hatton vs Gatti and Witter vs Mayweather though.
Witter han't got a good chin?? where do you get that from, I've watched most of his fights and i've never seen him hurt, judah hit him with good shots but he was never hurt in that fight. N'Dou hit him with good shots and witter just laughed at him.
How do you know Witter's got a bad chin?
What happened to Magee?
He is still fighting Magee, the fight with Veit is taking place on may 7th.
I think Joe will fight Lacy at the end of this year, both Lacy and Calzaghe have to defend there belts , Lacy has already said he is defending his title, so i can see Calzaghe defending his belt and then setting up a unification fight between the two later in the year.
As for you people thinking Lacy would ko Calzaghe, you must be joking. Calzaghe will take Lacy apart i can see him winning inside 5, He's been in with a lot better opponents than Lacy, both sheik and williams hurt Lacy and the sheik fight was very close, Calzaghe gave sheik a beeting for 4 rounds then it got stopped in the 5th.
Actually, I am -
1. A college graduate with a degree in Strategic Management
2. A boxing fan who knows a fraud when he sees one
3. Irish
Calzone is an entertaining mid-range contender, but nothing more, his best win was against Byron Mitchell, a lousy former paper-chump, who nearly knocked calzone out in round 1.
Nearley knocked him out, i dont know what fight you were watching Calzaghe got knocked down but got straight back up and knocked him out the first person to do so, i don't think Mitchell had ever been knocked down before, Calzaghe was never hurt in the fight.
Mayweather still needs a big fight at 140Lb, fighting Brussels world ranking 40, Corley world rank 30 isn't proving your self at this weight. If he doesn't take this fight who will he fight Zoo is fighting Hatton, Cotto's people wont put him in with Mayweather yet, and i can't see mayweather fighting Harris or Witter. I think Mayweather needs to take this fight, if he doesn't and fights someone outside the top 10 he will be proving nothing.
Calzaghe is the best Super Middleweight and i can't see Lacy, Kessler, Beyer or green beating him. People seem to forget how Calzaghe battered Sheika in 5 rounds, Lacy got a close decision against an older Sheika. Calzaghe as also beaten Eubank, Woodhall, Reid and Mitchell these opponents are a lot better than what Lacy has faced.
And also dont forget Bernard Hopkins has been ducking Calzaghe , Hopkins moans about not getting big money for fights then he turned down £2.5million to fight Calzaghe at the start of last year and fought Joppy and beat Allen for the 3rd time.
If lacy beats Reid then Calzaghe Vs Lacy will happen in October or November,
The fight is gonna be so 1 sided a can see Calzaghe winning inside 6, Lacy is a very average fighter nowhere near Calzaghe's level and gets hit far to much.

There are a lot of fighters already scheduled to fight leaving Hatton with not many options.
Who's available,
Margarito - Cant see this fight happening (no ones mentioned margarito)
Harris - Hbo said they wont show Hatton vs Harris
Rabah - Hbo said they wont show Hatton vs Rabah
Witter - Hatton wont fight Witter
Torres - Hatton wont fight torres
Casamayor - His name was mentioned, cant see this fight happening
N'dou - seems to be the front runner, this fight cant happen massive step back for Hatton
About a month ago hatton's promoter was talking about Baldomir,Lazcano (injured) Gatti, Collazo, Freitas & Diaz, why didn't these fights be made?
Has Hatton made a mistake leaving frank warren, i think so. Hatton said he left warren to fight the best fighters in america cant see Mayweather, Cotto or Castillo in his schedule.
Hatton and his promotional team are looking very ameturish at the moment.
Im sick of hearing how Roy JJ "ducked" these fighters, Benn, Collins, Rocchigiani, Michwhateverhisnameis, and Cal***gy...
Fact is Thos fighters would not step foot in the US if there life depended on it, they just would never ever leave europe and Roy would be crazy to risk being jobbed by those ***s when he could fight for the IBF, WBC and WBA belts in the US on H.B.O instead of going to europe to fight for a WBOgus belt on euro tv....This is where the money is, here in US, This is where the best belts are, This is where the best fighters are, This is where legends are made...fuck off euro ***s, boxing dont need u
A lot of european fighters make more money fighting in europe, American based fighters get offered good money to come to europe, why do you think Tszyu & Lacy came to England, Byrd & Ruiz went to Germay, Winky has defended his title in England 3 times & many more have.
The big money fights were in england for benn, collins & eubank, Thats why they fought each other, they couldnt make no where near as much in the US, both Benn & eubank held the wbc belt.
The reason people question roy's carreer is because at that time a lot of the best super middles were from europe not just 1 or 2, there was about 5 or 6 and roy fought none of them.
Scott Harrioson is just a brute, he does not deserve to be in the same sentace as MAB. Harrison has done nothing his whole career other than beat washup up and second rate opponents. Another example of how frank warren gets one of his fighters a WBO belt and matches them against nobodies (See Naseem Hamed, Joe Calzaghe, Jonny Nelson, Steve Collins)!! The fighty won't happen.
Steve Collins was a world class fighter cant you remember the Eubank and benn fights.
Every fight fan wanted to see a unification fight at super-middleweight between Steve and Roy Jones jnr but he would never fight him.
Steve Collins:
I travelled to Pensacola to see Roy Jones fight and I actually climbed into the ring after his fight. I accused him of avoiding me and I challenged him live on national TV. At the post-fight conference I spoke to Jones and the press, I called him a coward and a yellow dog and I offered to fight him, winners take all. I would have beaten Roy Jones and he knew it! He said he would never fight me.
Not all british fighters avoid people and fight nobodies.
