that uppercut in round 6 of vitali/lewis hurt me chin just watching it and the crowd sounded like he had killed him but vitali went on and beat up lewis that round,

Ricardo Mayorga took some wicked shots from Tito before going down, Mayorga's got a great chin.

Both you guys have good points about McCall and McCullough. I hadn't thought about either of those guys in awhile, but yep, they both have taken huge punches (Notice that both of them have Scot names...like me ;) ). It'd be hard to pick at this point, especially if you overthink it, like I have a habit of doing. Let's wait a few years and see how Klitchko carries on from this point before we make any decisions about who we decide to put in the HOF for the biggest beard ;)

as much as i hate to say it holyfield has taken alot of good hits and he's always around at the end, he may not win but he always there.

undoubtedly has the best chin in the business today, and possibly of all time......but only the time will tell as for the latter. Look at the fighters Wanyne McCullough has fought. I understand that being hit by another heavyweight should be taken into consideration; however Vitali is a very large man, with a long reach. He has been tagged by some punches, but leans back and avoids flurries, while exchanging. McCullough is a human punching bag man. He (like Vitali) have never been knocked down, or out. Are you crazy? He's not even in the same league as Mc Call. Sander's had him out on his feet. This is a joke,....a? Later brother brologs. Out on his feet? No, not that, but he did have him stunned for a few seconds. And if those left hands from Sanders didn't put him down, I honestly don't know what would. An overhand from Ike, maybe, or a straight shot from Shavers, but neither of those guys will ever be in the ring again. Sanders is probably the hardest puncher in boxing right now....that straight left is fast and wicked-powerful. Like Merchant said "There's nothing like it in boxing today". And Klitchko didn't take just one of those, he took several. And Lewis caught him flush at least half a dozen times, with the uppercut in 5, and the 1-2 combo in 3 being the nastiest, and neither of these did more than make Klitchko grab on for a few seconds until his head cleared. Anyway, no, I'm not joking. I'm not a Klitchko nut-hugger, but I know a solid fucking chin when I see one, and Klitchko undoubtedly has the best chin in the business today, and possibly of all time......but only the time will tell as for the latter.

I think Mayorga has a pretty good chin. Tito has hitting flush all fight when they fought and it took a while for it all to take effect. He also let Forrest just punch him and he took them well. Eastman has a pretty good chin, he was taking some pretty good hits by hopkins and he didnt drop......

but I'm pretty sure Vitali Klitchko's going to go down in the Boxing HOF as having the only one built of stainless steel with a solid granite core. So far, it has been rock Solid. We will have to wait though, He has never faced a boxer puncher with the exception of Lewis. Kirk Johnson does not count; more along the lines of an A-class boxer puncher which is non-existent in the heavyweight division. His brother is the only one close, and they will never fight. hands down Vitali Klistchko Yep, he's taken some real tactical nukes to the chin, from Lewis, Sanders and Williams, and never left his feet. Nobody else I can think of in the entire history of boxing could've taken those shots and remained upright. There have been some great beards in the sport, but I'm pretty sure Vitali Klitchko's going to go down in the Boxing HOF as having the only one built of stainless steel with a solid granite core.

I think Jeff Lacey's chin is slept on. he wears people down by taking punishment but his power alows him to penetrate and do damage. he'll take any punch to get his punch off. he also one the most in shape and hungry boxers in boxing

Mayorga does deserve a special mention for willingly getting nailed by Forrest - who`s a heavy puncher at that weight - then doing the exact same thing with Trinidad. McCullough also has an incredible chin and i cant remember him getting cuts! If you can see the punch coming, you can take it..

Hopkins well you have to remember that Hopkins doesn't ever allow his chin to be tested, so it just seems he has a great chin, but the fact is, no real power punches ever hit him right on the chin. and when they do, he's moving his head back before the punch lands, so it cuts the power of the punch in half, if not more

I think Vitali Klitschko has a pretty good chin. He took some big bombs from Corrie Sanders and stood standing.

I would have to say the best chins in boxing are Hopkins, Mayorga, And Eastman.
