1) Roy is already in retirement as far as most are concerned. 2) Roy is not coming back. Nothing is official. Nothing is signed. What you posted pretty much is a lie, since it is not true. Roy has not said he will come back for sure. Period. Go find him, and ask him for us. You LIVE in Pensacola. The man can't be THAT hard to find. Kytfo, caps lock break or something? If this fight does happen, Roy will win by UD. He knows not to underestimate his opponent, because he did that v Johnson, and got KOed. He'd play it safe to go against Tarver in '06, if the fight should really happen.

Just like someone else already said, RJJ isn't past it yet. If he comes prepared and ready to fight, he's still the man to beat. But he'd best bring his A-game, or just don't show up.

BUT YOU ALSO GOT TO SEE A FIGHTER IN WOODS THAT HAS NOTHING TO LOSE EVERYTHING TO GAIN. BY THINKING ROY CAN BE KNOCKED OUT AND IS PAST HIS PRIME MAKES WOODS MORE CONFIDENT THAN IN THEIR FIRST MEETING.AS LONG AS ROY DOESNT TAKE HIM LIGHTLY AND DOESNT SHOW THAT LAZY DEFENSE OF HIS. I HAVE ROY AS THE WINNER . IF HE THINKS AND DOES THE OPPOSITE. WELL THEN ROY MIGHT AS WELL BRING HIS PILLOW AND BLANKET TO THE RING. :p

Also, As Clinton Woods' skills confidence improved, Roy's' went down.. Not as much as skill, or talent, but definitely confidence and that hunger + desire to win without which any boxer can't be successful.

Well Wood's has shown himself up well recently so it is not the mismatch as it was a couple of years ago... Roy Jones just needs a win because confidence is the biggest thing that holds guys like Tyson and RJ down

Roy Jones Jr. has established himself and his name in the boxing scene. When he lost to glen Johnson I don't know what to think. I don't know what to say and I don't even know what to do. Probably a lesson for RJJ NEVER to under estimate his oponents once again? Or a sign for RJJ to hang it up?

jones looked past glengoffe and got beat. i expected an easy night for roy jones. woods twice went the distance with glengoffe. also woods looked incredible against rico hoye. jones aint no hoye but i definately dont think this is a mismatch anymore roy could lose this fight on points or by ko. this fight will define whether he can comeback & compete. i expect to see Tarver - Jones III before the end of 2006 if he gets past woods with flying colors & tarver does his duty & beats the road warrior glengoffe Johnson.

Funny how what is supposed to be a tune-up fight is turning into something a lot bigger because of the British-American rivalry. I'm sure Roy is looking straight past Woods, though that's not to say that Woods isn't a decent fighter. Still, Roy will lpay it safe and get a dull UD out of this one, like a few other posters have alreay said.

it wouldn't surprised me if woods does send him into permanent retirement........the fact that he is choosing woods as an opponent, means that he thinks he will be an easy opponent.....thus underestimating him...which will result in a KO.
